It’s important to consider the defense within your props selection process. This market often gets overlooked, which means that you can find an edge, since the lines may not be as sharp due to less action.
The best way to approach defenses is to focus on sacks and turnovers because they can be a bit easier to project than total tackles.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at Chiefs defense and special teams props for Super Bowl 57.

Chris Jones Super Bowl Sacks Prop
Chris Jones: Over 0.25 Sacks (-135) at DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
Jones finished with 15.5 sacks in 17 games this season. He has also racked up two sacks during this year’s playoffs, both of which came in the AFC Championship Game.
While the Eagles have an elite offensive line, there’s a good chance that they’ll throw more than usual. That’s because the Super Bowl projects as a close game, so they won’t be able to go run-heavy as they do when they play with a large lead.
If the Chiefs are able to control this game, there will be chances for Jones to get at least half a sack. This line is juiced to the Over for good reason, as we’re talking about one of the elite pass-rushers in the NFL.

Chiefs Super Bowl Sacks Prop
Chiefs: Over 2.5 Sacks (+100) at DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
The Chiefs’ defense put up 55 sacks this season, which ranked No. 2 in the NFL behind the Eagles. They put up three or more sacks in nine of 16 games this season.
During the playoffs, they’ve posted seven sacks, including five against the Bengals.
While the Eagles are renowned for their offensive line, the Chiefs still have a good enough pass rush to cause some problems for Jalen Hurts.
The key here is for the Chiefs to play with a lead, which is certainly within the range of outcomes given the short point spread, as the Eagles are only favored by 1.5 points. At +100 odds, we’re getting a reasonable price.
