FanDuel Sportsbook Hands-on Review

FanDuel Sportsbook is one of my favorite betting sites to bet on for its ease through the app, as well as on desktop. New Jersey grants me numerous options to bet and I will list the pros and some of the cons of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Back in July 2018, Paddy Power Betfair bought FanDuel and took on the task of forming a sportsbook. This would be called the “FanDuel Group”. There is a partnership with Betfair Casino (Betfair Interactive US LLC), which allows for even more options including slot games, table games, and much more. Betfair Casino is now under the umbrella of Stardust Casino.

FanDuel Sportsbook is fully operational in the following states — New Jersey, Michigan, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Virginia, Illinois, West Virginia, and Arizona. This includes retail locations in every state but Tennessee. There is also a retail location in Mississippi.

FanDuel Sportsbook features live betting and many traditional wagering options, such as Monylines, Totals, Point Spreads, Player Props, Parlays, and more.

One of the more likable features of FanDuel Sportsbook is the ability to build a parlay in a single game, usually known as Same Game Parlays. They also feature teasers and round robins on their easy-to-follow tabs on the upper right side of the site.

Is FanDuel Sportsbook Legit?

Yes, FanDuel Sportsbook is fully legitimate. FanDuel is made up of a partnership between the FanDuel Group and Betfair Casino along with the sister brand known as Stardust Casino.

Can You Win Real Money Playing at BetMGM Sportsbook?

Yes, you can win real money at FanDuel Sportsbook. The betting site offers regulated real money sports betting options in NJ, MI, PA, CO, IN, IA, TN, VA, IL, MS, and WV and operates with local gaming licenses in each state. For example, in the state of New Jersey, FanDuel Sportsbook is licensed by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Currently, a no-deposit bonus does not exist at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Deposit Bonus

FanDuel Sportsbook currently doesn’t have a first-deposit bonus for online users.

Risk-Free Bet

FanDuel offers a Risk-Free Bet of up to $1,000. This means if your qualifying first bet with the sportsbook loses, you will receive a site credit of up to $1,000 that you can use to place more bets. Typically, this is processed within 72 hours. Read terms and conditions for more information.

FanDuel Sportsbook Promotions

FanDuel Sportsbook headlines quite a few promotions in its sportsbook and casino arsenal. The following are some of their latest promotions.

Some will change but generally similar promotions will exist throughout the calendar year.

A Regulation Tie Does Not Mean It’s Over

If your NHL team does not win in regulation but wins in overtime, you can get up to $25 of in-site credit.

Parlays, Parlays, and Parlays

Most parlay insurance hinges on hitting all but one leg. Typically on FanDuel most offers are based on 3+ or 5+ leg parlays. Do watch to see if you have to opt-in first. You can find timely promotions for events like Euros, UFC Fight Nights, and others. Here are some of the mainstays:

  • One-Game Parlay: You can now place a single-game parlay at FanDuel Sportsbook.
  • Multi-Sport Parlay Insurance: If you place a 5+ leg parlay in any sport and hit all but one, you get up to $25 back.
  • MLB Parlay Insurance: The same 5+ leg rule applies. If you hit all but one leg, one gets $25 max in-site credit.

My FanDuel Sportsbook App Experience

I enjoy the simplicity of the FanDuel Sportsbook app. Downloading is easy as you just need to go to the App Store, search, and download. That’s it. One can do the same thing on Android devices as well. But keep in mind, the FanDuel app and FanDuel Sportsbook app are separate entities when searching.

Once logged in, the general betting functions are pretty much the same as you would find on the desktop. The app features the familiar buttons on the bottom that tab out in greater detail like the bet slip, account, all sports, the home button, and yes, the casino.

One of the important things to do daily is to check promotions because there is always an abundance of them. Odds boost and promotions are prominently displayed and easy to follow and opt into.

When you want to place a bet, the process is pretty straightforward. FanDuel Sportsbook is one of the best when it comes to updated odds. It is part of why they are currently the top sportsbook in New Jersey.

The nice thing is when you click on an event to bet there are even more options — some traditional and some non-traditional. Look for the SGP (Same Game Parlay) and click on more wagers. There are many spreads, props, and so much more. They are also easily laid out to avoid confusion.

FanDuel Sportsbook features a fairly easy-to-follow interface when it comes to the app. The desktop version is even more seamless. When I am typically placing a wager, I do not have time for all sorts of pop-ups, extra frills, ads with sound, and so on.

FanDuel Sportsbook gives me the choice to get in and get out. It also allows me to look around to take advantage of line changes, prop differences, and more.

Should You Bet at FanDuel Sportsbook?

FanDuel Sportsbook strives to do two main things. One, they attempt to keep things as simple as possible. Second, FanDuel also tries to offer a myriad of options. The site may not be as fancy as some of the others out there, however, it is that relative simplicity that helps.

Customer service, like with any website or app, can be a little hit or miss. However, FanDuel Sportsbook is a bit better than most. It is a small complaint, honestly.

With the company backed by Paddy Power Betfair and FanDuel, they can be trusted. Their retail location in New Jersey is one of the better ones as far as efficiency and access to live events where one can enjoy the atmosphere.

The layout is fairly simple on the site — from easy and quick bets to single-game parlay options and much more. For myself, I look forward to NHL and NFL futures and can find them rather easily.

Some of these futures will lock a bit early, but for value and FanDuel Sportsbook does have very competitive odds/numbers.

The best thing to do when logged into FanDuel Sportsbook is sometimes just looking around and exploring. There are ways to take advantage of better numbers via props that one may not expect.

I heartily recommend the latest risk-free single bet welcome bonus. Again, that is one-time, but that risk-free maximum is up to $1,000. Not many sites offer at that high of an amount. At the very worst, one can take a shot at it and then cash out.

Again, take a shot, look around, and explore your options. Few are better than FanDuel Sportsbook and they are very much worth joining.

  • Parlays
  • Props

Rewards System

FanDuel Sportsbook does not currently have a rewards system or VIP tier in place for bettors.

Customer Service

FanDuel Sportsbook is a little different in that it requires one to be logged in typically for customer service requests. Once logged in, you can go to your accounts tab on the app and find support that way.

On desktop, just scroll down to the bottom of the page. In small print, you will see the support link. Just click on it.

FanDuel Sportsbook then goes to a spread-out screen that includes options for accounts, casino contact, and retail information hours. There is a support button typically in the lower right-hand corner. This sets up an automated chat that attempts to answer questions.

The get in touch option includes a way for a representative to answer your request. They can call back, have a live chat, or leave a message.

Times can be varied and the live chat option (though normally 24/7) does not always resolve an issue but is better than most betting sites.

I googled FanDuel Sportsbook and their number is 646-930-0860. However, almost half the time I simply received a recording which put us back to square one in most cases.

When making actual contact, most customer service agents would try to answer your question(s).
