Kalshi Review 2026: All About Kalshi Prediction Markets

ByFrank Ammirante

Kalshi is perhaps one of the best-known US prediction trading exchanges and I’ve always been impressed with the variety of available trade contracts for their predictions including sports, politics, the economy, and crypto.

Using my experiences here, I’ve just finished making a Kalshi review where I look at important things like its legitimacy, who regulates it, and how easy the desktop website is to use. By reading on, you’ll also see my recommendations, and whether or not I think this is one of the better options for prediction trading.

Is Kalshi Legit? I Reviewed Its Main Features to Decide

Legitimacy and transparency are the two most important things for me when choosing a prediction trading site to use. For this Kalshi review I looked at specific features such as regulatory oversight, customer support availability, the payment system, and website security. After researching these things, I had no doubts about the legitimacy of this brand.

Regulatory Oversight

For a prediction trading site to legally operate in the US it must be regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Kalshi does indeed have regulatory oversight from this official body. It has a dedicated regulatory documents page where you can actually find its main regulatory agreement, product certifications, rulebook, and trade data - everything looks to be in order and they provide more than enough information. In terms of accessibility, because Kalshi is regulated by the CFTC, it can legally offer its trading services in all 50 US states to anyone over 21.

Customer Support

When I needed help at Kalshi, I opened the dedicated help center which loads a sub domain of the website. Here, you have a large collection of articles and Q&As relating to main potential support subjects like getting started, your account & security, deposits and withdrawals, and trading. I found this database hugely useful and was able to find most of the answers I needed. However, this section also has a live chat option which I tested several times.
I was always connected to a support rep in 6-8 minutes and I found the person to be really helpful.

Banking Setup

You’ll need to credit your account to start trading Kalshi sports predictions or any of the other markets. Both fiat and crypto deposits and withdrawals are available, and this site accepts a decent range of payment methods including Venmo, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Bank Transfer, debit cards, and crypto. For crypto payments you can directly link your external wallet which makes the process that much easier. Whenever I made payments here (both deposits and withdrawals), the transactions were processed instantly without any fees.

Security and Transparency

The site uses SSL encryption for all data transfers, and when I wrote my Kalshi predictions review, the SSL certificate was active and provided by Let’s Encrypt. I was also impressed with the range of verification processes you have to go through, plus the additional security features you can enable. For instance, you can allow 2FA for your account login.

For transparency, this site has some of the best documentation I’ve seen. It has content dedicated to the parent company, data usage, privacy, fee schedules, trading prohibitions, and regulatory compliance. If you look in the website footer you can see an entire “product” sub-category of links which all relate to how the site and prediction trading works.

What Predictions Markets Did I Find at Kalshi?

Kalshi easily has THE biggest current range of prediction markets I’ve seen and they cover the following main categories:

  • Politics
  • Sports
  • Culture
  • Crypto
  • Climate
  • Economics
  • Mentions
  • Companies
  • Financials
  • Tech & Science

Within each of these sections you have a huge variety of predictions and I like that while they do have plenty of US-centric trade options, they also cover global events in equal measures. The Kalshi election predictions caught my eye as you can trade contracts relating to upcoming US and global elections, but I also really liked the sports section. You have coverage for the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL, but plenty of options for soccer, golf, and tennis.

While some sites I’ve tested emphasise sports, I think that Kalshi does a great job of offering an equal measure of sports and events predictions and thus should appeal to a wider audience.

How Easy Is Kalshi to Use?

When looking through the Kalshi event contracts and sports predictions, I spent a long time reviewing the usability of both the desktop site and the two mobile apps.

I Found iOS and Android Apps

You can download apps from the Google Play Store and App Store, and both have decent reviews. The Google Play Store version has a 4.0 star rating from 13,000+ reviews, while the App Store version has a 4.7 star rating from 70,000+ reviews. I tested the Android version on my Samsung Galaxy and it works great. The layout is user-friendly, you can easily browse the different prediction categories, and making trades is a simple process too.

I Think the Desktop Website Works Fantastically

I actually prefer the desktop website to the mobile app, and I like the clean, modern style of its theme. You’ve got a main navigation at the top that has links to all the prediction categories, and if you click on an individual section, you then get a sub-category list on the left. From my experience trading here, I think the desktop site does a great job of making trades simple - you get an explanation for everything and you shouldn’t have any issues understanding how trades work as a new customer.

Did I Get Any Kalshi Promotions?

I’ve had a fair amount of experience using prediction trading sites, and a common theme is that not many of them offer promotions. Kalshi is the same, and I didn’t really find any bonus features. There CAN potentially be a welcome bonus where you can get a $10 cash bonus when you make your first $10 in trades, but I wasn’t personally able to get this when I signed up. It is worth looking out for though and I recommend checking out the banners I’ve got on this page.

Another feature that this prediction trading site has are its incentive programs. These are liquidity and volume based programs where you can potentially get cash rewards for doing specific things like trading popular predictions, or buying predictions for specific options that currently have active rewards. You can click on the dedicated rewards program to see the current active available reward trades.

Conclusion - Kalshi Is One of the Top Prediction Trading Sites

Prediction trading sites are still quite new, but from the different apps and sites I’ve tested, this Kalshi review showed me that it is one of the best current options. I think it has the largest collection of prediction markets in ALL categories, and on top of that you have an active community and plenty of trade volume for the different predictions.

Combine this with low Kalshi trading fees, great security, and an easy-to-use desktop and mobile version, and you have a recipe for success. To try it out for yourself and start trading predictions at Kalshi today, all you need to do is click the banners I’ve got for you on this page and go through the registration process.
