The New York Jets (6-3) and New England Patriots (5-4) each come off the bye for a pivotal Week 11 AFC East showdown.

When these teams met in Week 8, the Patriots held on for a 22-17 road win. The game wasn’t as close as the score suggests, as the Jets got a late touchdown to cut the lead to five.

Let’s take a closer look at this Week 11 matchup to pick out our New York vs New England best bets.

Odds are courtesy of BetMGM Sportsbook as of Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. EST.

Jets vs Patriots Odds

The Patriots come in as short home favorites, which is no surprise considering that they won the first matchup.

The total is one of the lowest numbers you’ll see all year at 38.5 points. This was expected, as both teams have good defenses and questionable quarterback play.

Take a look at the best Jets odds and Patriots odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Jets vs Patriots Implied Totals

Patriots 20.75, Jets 17.75

Bookmakers project a low-scoring game between two teams with strong defenses. The first game needed a last-minute touchdown to get to 39 combined points, so we could see more of the same here.

Jets vs Patriots Prediction

Jets 20, Patriots 17

The Jets have won five of their last six games, with the only loss coming against these Patriots. It’s always tough to sweep a division rival, so we’ll go with New York to split the season series here.

Quarterback Zach Wilson is coming off one of the best games of his career, where he completed 18-of-25 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. All he needs to do is manage the game with how well this defense has played.

The Jets rank 6th in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders. They were able to limit Josh Allen to only 6.03 yards per attempt in their Week 9 win over the Bills. Look for Mac Jones to have a tough time against this defense.

Jets vs Patriots Bet Tips

Here are a few Jets vs Patriots betting trends to consider before making your bets:

  • Both teams have been good against the spread, with the Jets at 6-3 and the Patriots at 5-3-1.
  • The Under is 6-3 in Jets games and 5-4 in Patriots games.
  • The Jets have limited their opponents to 20 points or fewer in five of their last six games.
  • Mac Jones has only averaged 5.25 passing yards per attempt in his last two games.

Jets vs Patriots Best Bets

Jets +3 (-110) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

This projects as a low-scoring game, so I prefer to take the Jets plus the points. Touchdowns will be hard to come by, making it feel more comfortable to take the underdog here.

Look for Wilson to manage the game while leaning on his defense and running backs.

Under 38.5 Points (-110) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

This number is so low for good reason. The Jets (6th) and Patriots (3rd) are two of the best defenses in the league. Wilson (200.5 pass yards per game) and Jones (seven interceptions in six games) have struggled this year.

This one should stay Under.
