Saints vs Browns Predictions & Odds

Last Updated: Dec 20, 2022

The New Orleans Saints (5-9) will travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns (6-8) on Christmas Eve.

The Saints put an end to a two-game losing streak last Sunday with a 21-18 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Despite being four games under .500, New Orleans is just one game back of first place in the NFC South.

The Browns will hope to build off Sunday’s 13-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens come Saturday afternoon. Cleveland is now 2-1 since the return of the suspended Deshaun Watson but is still tied for last place in the AFC North.

With both teams fighting for their playoff lives, let’s take a look at our New Orleans vs Cleveland best bets, predictions, and betting tips for Week 16.

Saints vs Browns Odds

As of Tuesday, Dec. 20, Caesars Sportsbook is giving the home team the slight advantage to come away with a win.

With both squads having underwhelming seasons, the relatively low point total is justified for this game. Both teams have only managed to eclipse the 20-point mark once in the last three games.

Take a look at the best Saints odds and Browns odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Saints vs Browns Implied Totals

Browns 17.25, Saints 14.75

Oddsmakers are predicting a low-scoring affair. Cleveland’s offense has not looked the same since Watson’s return.

Meanwhile, New Orleans’ offense has scored more than 14.25 in three out of its last four.

Saints vs Browns Prediction

Saints 21, Browns 15

New Orleans coming away with an upset is not out of the realm of possibilities based on the play of both teams entering this game.

The Saints’ 1-5 road record is the biggest point of concern for Dennis Allen’s squad. Despite the poor record, New Orleans has picked up its defensive intensity in road games during the second half of the season.

With how poor Watson and the Browns’ offense has looked since his return, New Orleans could certainly steal this game on the road. The versatile weapons in New Orleans’ offense are sure to cause trouble for the Browns come Saturday.

The Browns’ defense came up big last Sunday, only allowing three points to a Lamar Jackson-less Ravens team. Kevin Stefanski will hope for more of the same against a familiar face in former AFC North quarterback Andy Dalton.

Dalton has over 3,500 yards and 28 touchdowns in 17 games against Cleveland in his career.

Meanwhile, Watson has not played up to the $230 million contract he signed after being traded to Cleveland in the offseason. In three games, the former Clemson star has a 2:2 touchdown-interception ratio with an average of 189.3 passing yards per game.

Saints vs Browns Best Bets

Over 32 Total Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 2 Units

While both defenses have played relatively well over the last few games, the 32-point total is far too low for these squads.

With another week of experience for Watson in a Browns uniform and consecutive solid performances by Dalton and the Saints’ offense, you can expect these teams to slightly surpass the total in this contest.

Saints 1H Moneyline (+143) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

For plus money, the Saints’ first-half moneyline is a solid play when you look into how these teams have performed during the first two quarters recently.

In the last two games, the Saints have allowed only three points to both opponents in the first half. On the flip side, the Browns have only scored nine points combined in the first half of their last two games.
