Unibet is one of the lesser-known names in the United States sports-betting space, but that is changing each day.

The Malta-based online sportsbook is a worldwide leader in gaming, and it is now open in six states plus Ontario, making it one of the most widely available legal books in North America.

If you’ve never heard of Unibet or have but haven’t yet jumped into playing with the site, don’t worry. We have all the details about how to place prop bets with Unibet.

How to Do Prop Bets on Unibet

Step 1: Create an Account or Sign In

Create a new account with Unibet if you don’t have one already. Click through the exclusive link on our sportsbook review page and include any bonus code that might be needed to unlock Unibet’s best new-user offer.

All sensitive information requested is only used to confirm your identity.

Step 2: Deposit

Insert your money. Remember, the method you use to deposit is generally the one required to withdraw too, and credit-card deposits, while convenient, often carry a cash-advance fee.

Plus, if you enter funds via credit card, you will not be allowed to take out your money by that method, instead needing to accept a hard check.

Before signing up and making a deposit, for those in Arizona, get the bet $50, get $200 Unibet promo. Unibet will match 100% of your bet, up to $50, with four free bets of equal value.

Step 3: Check Out Prop Bets

Peruse the prop bets you may want to make. To find prop bets within a single game, click on the game you wish to wager and consult those bets.

Step 4: Place Your Bet

Tap the wager you wish to make. Enter the amount you wish to bet. Enter “place bet." Root for it to hit!

Types of Unibet Prop Bets

The Unibet Online Sportsbook has loads of prop bets to place for every game every day and makes them easy to access through its mobile app and website.

Here’s a look at some prop wagers you can place on Unibet.

Player Props

Unibet offers player props for games in just about every league from across the globe, giving great odds so you can cash in on your player-prop betting.

The Unibet Online Sportsbook will usually offer boosted props too, with catchy names centered around a player whose prop options are boosted.

For instance, if Unibet is boosting a prop parlay for Tom Brady to throw three-plus touchdowns, surpass 250 yards in passing and for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win, it might call that “Brady’s Bunch."

Unibet also offers player futures as well, meaning bettors can wager on an individual to finish as his or her league MVP or to lead a statistical category like points, rushing yards, passing yards or more.

Game Props

Game props are wagers that aren’t tied to the final score. Unibet offers props for games each day with a plethora of options for bettors interested in wagering on outcomes not related to the final score, including inning, half, and period bets as well as races to a certain number of points and more.

If you’re in Pennsylvania and are interested in wagering on there to be fewer than one run in the Philadelphia Phillies vs. Pittsburgh Pirates game, you can take under 0.5 runs to be scored in the first inning.

If you want to bet on the Phillies to lead after five innings, you can take that as well.

If you’re betting in Arizona and want to bet on the Arizona Cardinals to win the race to 21 points in their game against the San Francisco 49ers, you can bet on that.

If the Cardinals can score 21 points first, you’ll win even if they don’t ultimately win the game.

Novelty Props

Novelty props are popular in Super Bowl betting, since novelties like the coin toss, anthem length, and color of Gatorade were born out of big-game betting.

Unibet offers novelties for sports like football and many others.

Team Props

Like most online sportsbooks, Unibet offers prop wagers for teams, including futures like over-under win totals and whether a team will make the playoffs in its specific sport. But what separates Unibet from the competition is the sheer volume of team props a bettor may make, especially in the NFL where the sportsbook has more than a dozen futures bets for fans and bettors to wager.

If you’re an Indianapolis Colts fan interested in wagering on your favorite team, you could bet on the Colts to win the AFC South or finish with over 9.5 wins or even represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

If you’re feeling really lucky, you could wager on the Colts to be the team that will hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February too.

But you could also wager on the exact number of games the Colts will win, or where during the season they will be knocked off or you could predict which team it will defeat for its first win or which it will fall to for its initial loss.

This goes for all 32 teams too, which means you as a bettor can get creative with your team-prop betting.

These futures bets go for each sport, and more are unveiled as the seasons get closer.

Plus, Unibet makes each team future simple to find simply by clicking the sport you wish to wager then tapping the futures tab and assessing the available betting markets.

Draft Props

The NFL and NBA drafts are marquee events for sports betting, and Unibet has an array of draft-related props for bettors to wager on, including which team will finish with the top pick in the upcoming draft, which player will be chosen with the first overall pick, as well as over/unders for draft positions for a collection of players.

Does Unibet Have Player Props?

Yes! The sportsbook gives odds on player prop options for every game every day, including football games, basketball, baseball and much more.

Unibet empowers baseball bettors to determine the number of hits, home runs or total bases a player will amass in a game.

Finding player props is as easy as consulting the game in which you want to wager then finding the tab that starts with “player."

There you’ll be able to bet on things like Kirk Cousins to surpass his single-game passing-yards prop or for Saquon Barkley to go over or under a certain predetermined number of yards in his upcoming game.

There are also futures player props, where bettors are challenged to bet on which player will win the MVP of his league or to finish as the top statistical performer in a given sport.

For instance, NFL bettors could wager on Matthew Stafford to win NFL MVP or Aaron Donald to win Defensive Player of the Year or Derrick Henry to lead the NFL in rushing or Cooper Kupp to finish with the most receiving yards in football.

Where Are Player Props on Unibet?

The easiest way to find player props on Unibet is by following these simple steps:

  1. Enter the “Sports" section of Unibet
  2. Select the league you want
  3. Click on the specific game to reveal player props

Unibet Player Props Rules

There are some ground rules associated with betting props at Unibet. For instance:

Voids

Props can be voided if certain criteria aren’t settled. For instance, if you wagered on the Minnesota Vikings to cover three in the first half of their game against the Detroit Lions, and Minnesota takes a three-point advantage into halftime, the bet will push and the bettor will receive his/her initial stake back.

Cash Outs

Sometimes sportsbooks will offer bettors early cash out options, where gamblers can get either a slight profit or a small payout, for things like parlays and futures, but generally those are not available as prop-betting markets.

Unibet Prop Bets for NFL

Betting props on the NFL is one of the most popular ways to wager on the sport, and Unibet offers team, game and player props for bettors to consider for every game from the Hall of Fame game that kicks off the preseason to the Super Bowl in February.

Unibet also gives bettors competitive numbers and lucrative odds to ensure they’ll be getting good payouts for all of their prop-betting needs.

Unibet also enables prop bettors to dream up their own same-game parlays that include player props for each game.

Since SGPs are largely reliant on betting props, Unibet empowers football bettors to combine as many prop markets as they wish to make the best-available parlay.

Plus, Unibet offers boosted odds on props like an individual player’s TD-passes prop or his rushing yards prop in a specific game.

For example, the sportsbook might make the odds of Jonathan Taylor’s over-under rushing-yards from from -110 to +105, which would boost your profit as a bettor from $0.91 per $1 wagered to $1.05 for every dollar put out, making Unibet the most profitable sportsbook to wager that prop.

Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is the biggest event of the year for football bettors, and that is especially true for football gamblers who prefer props.

Fortunately, Unibet delivers a robust number of Super Bowl betting markets, particularly props like a player to surpass his statistical prop, or futures odds on bets like your favorite team to reach or win the Lombardi Trophy.

Best Unibet Prop Bets

Unibet will boost props, which as stated above, will make them more lucrative betting options for prop wagerers, which is when Unibet has the best markets.

My personal favorite betting market on Unibet is futures, since there are more futures options with that particular sportsbook than on most any other online sportsbook around.

The best bets, whether they’re props or any other type, are the ones we love, which means Unibet has those available to wager.

Simply peruse the numbers, check out the odds, do some research to see if the trends affirm or contradict your gut and place your bets accordingly.

How to Find the Best Prop Bets

Research. Research. Research. We at The Game Day have a robust analysis section that we feel is worth your time and consideration where we break down trends and cover matchups from just about every game.

But it’s important to do your own homework too. Bucking trends might work sporadically — even the least-researched wagers will cash in from time to time — but ultimately you’ll feel better and cash in more when you dig into the numbers.

Be sure to target market inefficiencies and pounce when you see them. A quarterback’s rushing-yards prop is traditionally a great place to start, or early-season prop numbers that come in before the sportsbook gets too seasoned and wises up.

Prop Bet Strategies

We mentioned market inefficiencies, but when the research you do affirms your opinion that is when a bet is worth mashing.

Scared money don’t make money, as the saying goes, and a cautious bettor who does not believe in his/her wager is not likely to be successful.

Learn and focus on trends and who happens to perform well against certain opponents. Odell Beckham, Jr. has a history of torching the Dallas Cowboys.

If his team is playing at AT&T Stadium, or simply at home against the Cowboys, target a prop bet for him, whether it’s receiving yards or an anytime touchdown.

Practice. Whether you’re a seasoned vet or a novice, making mistakes is inevitable. Just keep learning from your mistakes, and notably learn what happens if/when you don’t do your homework while placing your hard-earned funds on betting sports.

Prop Betting for Beginners

Trial and error are your friend. Try out multiple sportsbooks before you determine which one is your favorite — that’s why those sportsbooks generously give you all those free funds to play with.

Take some risks and make some mistakes. But be sure to learn from them and retain enough money to get up and try again.

Roll with the highs and lows, be responsible and you’ll have a great time whether you win or lose.

How to Calculate Prop Odds?

Prop bet odds are pretty standard at about -110, though the odds can vary on player props depending on the sport and how drastic the number is.

But if you’re betting on a team to cover a first-half spread, the odds will almost always be -110 or -115, which means a $110 or $115 wager would pay out $100 in profit.

If a prop’s odds are plus-money, +100 or +140, that means a $100 wager will produce that amount in profit.

For instance, a $100 bet at +100 will earn you, the bettor, $200 — the $100 profit plus your initial stake back.

Fortunately, Unibet, like almost all online sportsbooks, has a helpful odds-calculator tool that informs all bettors of their exact payout before they place their wager.

Why Are Props a Good Bet?

Props are fun to bet, and they can still hit even if your vision of a game is wrong.

For instance, I can bet the Atlanta Hawks to beat the Chicago Bulls and be completely wrong when Chicago wins by 22.

But I could still win if I bet on Trae Young to surpass 3.5 3-pointers, and he does even in a blowout loss.

Can Props Be a Bad Bet?

Player props are subject to early-game injuries or the dreaded off-night.

Unless you’re an under bettor, and most under player-prop wagerers are acting like trolls, each can torpedo a perfectly dreamed-up prop or parlay.

If a player does not dress or does not enter the game, your prop will be voided.

But if he competes in at least one second of action, the bet is live, and you’re out the stake if he gets injured or underachieves.

If you’re betting a game prop, like a race to a certain point threshold or the first-half moneyline/spread, then you would be wise to have a story about how you think the game will go.

If that story is off, you can still lose the same way you would in a full-game moneyline, which is really disappointing.

What Sports Are Available for Props?

Every sport offers prop bets, even individuals like golf, tennis and auto racing.

To find prop options, simply click on the league or game you wish to bet and peruse the bets that are not titled “moneyline/spread/totals."

Is There Bet Insurance on Props?

Rarely. Unless you’re placing your initial second-chance bet on a prop, it’s not likely that you will get your stake reimbursed if you lose.
