Best Apps Like Robinhood for Prediction Markets

ByFrank Ammirante

Last Updated on Jul 22, 2026

Robinhood is an investment company that offers a range of different products like stocks and shares ISAs, but it also has a hugely successful P2P prediction trading app where you can buy and sell event contracts on real-world predictions.

There are other apps like Robinhood available too though that also have an extensive P2P prediction trading setup, and allow you to enjoy a smooth mobile prediction trading experience, and this is what I’m looking at in the guide below. I’ll start by recapping what Robinhood offers, and then delve into other potential app contenders.

A Quick Recap on Robinhood Predictions

To be able to find apps like Robinhood, we first need to know what we are dealing with, and have a benchmark. Therefore, in this section, let’s remind ourselves of what this P2P exchange offers. Robinhood Derivatives LLC is the company that offers its event contracts and predictions, and this is a registered futures commission merchant and swap firm. Currently, it is available in 48 US states, but prohibited in Maryland and Nevada.

In terms of its overall company, Robinhood also primarily offers investment options such as stocks and shares ISAs, plus a range of different investment portfolios like Ventures, Custodial, Futures, and IPO Access.

What Prediction Markets Does Robinhood Offer?

Compared to the top prediction sites, Robinhood has really done a great job of expanding its prediction offering. I remember a while back when testing the site that it had a pretty limited range of markets, but now, returning to the brand, I found the following categories:

  • Sports
  • Elections
  • Climate
  • Commodities
  • Crypto
  • Economics
  • Education
  • Entertainment
  • Financial
  • Metals
  • Politics

Each of these categories is well-equipped too, with a variety of both short term and long term predictions. For example, their crypto section includes predictions for BTC, ETH, HYPE, SOL, XRP, DOGE, and BNB, but there’s short term markets for 15 minute price predictions, and long term options for monthly and annual price shifts. To give you an idea of what you can expect from their predictions, I’ve given some live examples in the below table:

Pros and Cons of Robinhood Predictions

Overall, I am impressed with the Robinhood Predictions setup, and a large reason for that is the quality of its two mobile apps. They are definitely some of the better prediction apps available, and this is backed up by the glowing customer reviews. Robinhood does have a diverse set of predictions though, plenty of trade activity, and trading fees that are in-line with industry averages. I do think the layout of its individual predictions could be improved though - compared to Kalshi, for example, there isn’t really a clear structure for the yes/no event contract options which could be confusing.

Pros

  1. High quality mobile apps
  2. Decent trade volume
  3. Great selection of prediction markets
  4. Stylish and intuitive platform

Cons

  1. Non-standard prediction layout

What to Look for When Picking Apps Like Robinhood?

Some apps like Prizepicks for predictions are better than others, and from my experience testing them, I’ve noticed that there are specific things and features you can look for to determine which apps are worthwhile. This includes things like availability, legitimacy, customer support, security, and general app usability.

App Device Availability

Some operators only offer Android apps, others only offer iOS apps, some even have no downloadable apps at all. I think the best prediction trading sites will have a high-quality desktop website, but also mobile apps for Android AND iOS devices. The desktop website can be used as a fallback if you do not have access to your smartphone, but the apps will be the main thing you use.

Essentially, you should look at the relevant app for your device and see if it meets your trading requirements. Usually, you can download and install a trading app and browse the prediction markets without needing to sign up. This gives you the chance to see if you like the interface and features first, before making a commitment. I also recommend checking the state availability of the apps - sometimes, US prediction trading operators are not available in all 50 states.

App Quality and User Interface

Being able to access the app is one thing, but you also have to be happy with how it works. Check out the layout, look at the navigation options, and see how they have organized the prediction markets. The app should be user-friendly, and you must be able to easily access the predictions you want to make. Account management should also be a breeze, with a smooth banking setup, and a clear trading process where things like trading fees are clearly displayed.

Legitimacy of the Brand

I only ever use legitimate prediction trading apps that can legally operate in the US. The main feature to determine this is whether or not the operator is regulated by, and registered with the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission), which is the main overseeing body for P2P derivatives trading. You can usually find this information out by looking at the information in the website footer of a site. However, you can also be assured that we only feature legitimate brands on the banners on this site.

Prediction Market Variety

This depends on your personal preference, and the types of predictions you wish to trade. For example, I typically trade crypto, sports, and commodities, so these are the main categories that I look for when researching new apps like Robinhood. I think that the best prediction trading apps will have a diverse offering though, with all the major categories people expect, such as:

  • Sports
  • Climate
  • Crypto
  • Politics
  • Elections
  • Economy
  • Financials
  • Technology

There should be a healthy number of different predictions within those main categories though - not just a couple for each one. It’s also important to look at the average trade volume and trading activity for the app. More traders and more trade volume should theoretically mean that your own trade orders are matched quicker, and you have better trading liquidity, instead of being stuck with dead weight predictions that have moved against your favor.

Trading and Payment Fees

You will usually encounter two types of potential fees at prediction exchanges and it’s vital that you understand how both of them work, and what you are potentially paying out. Firstly, there are the actual trading fees. These are charged on buy/sell actions, and you can usually expect to pay up to 2%. Ideally, you want a simplified free structure that is easy to understand, and that gives you plenty of room to make potential returns, even with higher value contracts above 85c.

Secondly, there can also be payment fees which are charged on your deposits and withdrawals. From my time using prediction exchanges, I’ve noticed that these are less common, and they are usually NOT charged on every payment method. So, oftentimes it can be a simple case of finding an app like Robinhood that has a payment method you use, with no payment fees.

Customer Support

Whenever I’ve tested other apps like Robinhood, I’ve never had to use customer support. However, that’s not a given, and if I do need help, I want the assurance that I’m going to be able to speak to someone quickly. This is why I always look for customer support options including a live chat, email support, social media channels, and a help center.

I think help centers are underrated and can be incredibly useful, and with that in mind, I will usually check to see what self-help options a prediction app provides. After that, I’ll check for a live chat, and if they have one, I’ll test it a few times to see how easy it is to get in touch with a human rep. Lastly, I’ll send a few support email queries to find out how slow the email response times are.

Security and Transparency

As your personal details and money are most likely being exchanged when using apps like Robinhood, security and transparency are imperative, and they are some of the first things I look for. As I mentioned in an earlier heading, I only use CFTC-regulated exchanges - this is non-negotiable for your own safety and the legality of the sites. Additionally, I look for other security features such as SSL encryption, geoblocking to prevent unauthorized access, and 2FA features for your account login.

I expect sites to be completely transparent about their operations too. This includes providing all the relevant documentation such as terms of service, a privacy policy, and KYC policies. The best apps like Robinhood will also provide complete disclosures about the settlement conditions of their different predictions, and the conditions that a yes/no event contract has to meet to payout.

Three Top Prediction Apps You Can Try Right Now

I’ve noticed that most prediction exchanges have caught onto the fact that people want mobile trading. This has led to apps like Kalshi, Crypto.com, and Robinhood being developed. In many cases, I think the mobile apps have probably been given more attention than the desktop website, and during my research for this guide, I thought the aforementioned three prediction trading exchanges currently have some of the best mobile apps available.

You can see a simple comparison table below of the different platforms that Kalshi, Crypto.com, and Robinhood operate on, and after that, I’ve created a mini review of their apps and features based on my experiences using them.

Kalshi - Best for Overall Trading Volume and Liquidity

One of the most similar prediction market apps to Robinhood is Kalshi. It offers both a downloadable Android and iOS app, and before I tested them, I checked out the ratings. The Play Store version has a 4.7 star rating from over 30,000 reviews, while the App Store version has a 4.8 star rating from over 141,000 reviews. This makes it one of the best-rated prediction trading apps available in the US. The comments praise the usability of the app, and the massive range of predictions that Kalshi offers.

My experiences with the Kalshi app have largely been positive. The thing I like the most is the individual layout for the different predictions. They have done a great job of fitting the information into a portrait-style orientation, and there’s usually a really useful graph highlighted in the center that shows the price trends of the prediction over time. It’s also got some pretty cool engagement features where you can share your trades and predictions with friends via your feed or via your linked social media profiles.

Outside of the app, Kalshi has the best overall trading volume due to its huge customer base, and this can ultimately help your liquidity. Additionally, I have always been impressed with the range of prediction markets it offers. This includes sports, politics, economy, mentions, culture, crypto, finance, tech & science, and more.

Crypto.com - Well-Equipped App With Backing From the Crypto.com Brand

Like Kalshi, Crypto.com has an incredibly well-received app and it offers both an iOS and Android version. The major benefit here though, is that as far as I can see, and from my testing, the Crypto.com app is essentially a one-stop-shop. I.e. all of its different services such as its crypto exchange and prediction markets can be accessed via a single account, and from a single app.

The Play Store version has a 4.4 star rating from a staggering 685,000+ reviews, while the App Store version has a 4.7 star rating from over 1,300+ reviews. I’m not sure why there seems to be such a disparity in the review numbers across the different stores. Either way, customer sentiment is overall positive, and my own testing with the app has been fruitful. As mentioned, I like that you can access all the different Crypto.com features, and they have done an excellent job in how the prediction markets are presented.

Crypto.com is arguably one of the better choices for sports predictions too, as it features basketball, football, soccer, tennis, and a range of other options. This P2P prediction exchange is also one of the only sites to offer $10 event contracts as far as I am aware, which gives traders greater freedom and flexibility to make the trades they want.

Robinhood - Smooth Interface and User-Friendly Design

I wanted to give an actual breakdown of the Robinhood app too here, so that you have a comparison against the other two recommended options. You can download either the iOS or Android version of the app, and I was actually surprised to see the number of reviews and downloads for each version. The App Store version has a 4.3 star rating, from over 4.7 MILLION reviews - I didn’t realize it had such a large customer base. Similarly, the Play Store version has a 4.2 star rating, from over 528,000 reviews.

Like Crypto.com, my testing has shown that this is an all-in-one app where you should be able to access the prediction trading section, but also the other investment features they provide. I like the user-friendly interface and layout and think this could be one of the better options for those who are new to P2P prediction trading.

In terms of predictions, Robinhood is continually expanding its offering and over time, I’ve seen it greatly flesh out its non-sport predictions to the point where it now competes with apps like Polymarket and Crypto.com. The main categories include sports, climate, elections, commodities, metals, crypto, economics, education, entertainment, financial, politics, and technology.

How to Get Started at Apps Like Robinhood

If you want to give any of these apps a try, you will first need to download and install them. This should be a simple process - just tap the relevant download link and head to the App Store or Play Store. It’s then a case of following the on-screen instructions and letting the installation process complete. From my experience, these apps do NOT take up much space on your smartphone’s HDD.

With the app installed, you will need to create an account before you can trade predictions, and this should include the following steps:

  1. Open the app.
  2. Tap the register, sign up, or join button.
  3. Enter any requested personal details.
  4. Enter a promo code if applicable.
  5. Accept any site T&Cs.
  6. Complete any initial SMS or email verification.
  7. Log in to your new account.

I’ve found that the best apps like Robinhood will have extensive security and KYC checks and you will often have to complete these before you can start trading or even make your first deposit. A full KYC check will involve having to upload a photo of a live ID such as your passport, plus take a live selfie so that your likeness can be checked against your ID photo.

Once you’ve completed account verification, you should be able to access all the app’s features and start browsing the different prediction markets. You will now also be able to credit your account to start trading using one of the available payment methods.

Conclusion - There Are Other Apps Like Robinhood for Prediction Trading

Robinhood undoubtedly has one of the better mobile prediction trading apps and my research for this guide only reinforces that belief. The ratings are great on both the App Store and the Play Store, and my personal experiences with it have been positive - it works like a charm, you can easily browse the different prediction markets smoothly using the app.

As you can see from the above though, there are also apps like Robinhood that offer just as much, and I believe it’s a great idea to keep your options open and have a few different prediction exchanges that you can use. This allows you to compare event contract prices, and always have access to the trades you want to make. Crypto.com and Kalshi are right up there in terms of mobile app quality, and you can get started with either of them, or indeed Robinhood, by clicking the relevant banners on this page.
