The Green Bay Packers (6-8) have won two games in a row and three of their last five. They’ll look to keep it rolling against the Miami Dolphins (8-6), who are now on a three-game losing streak.

The Packers can keep their slim playoff hopes alive by winning the rest of their games, but they’ll be in for a tough test against this high-flying Dolphins’ offense.

Let’s dive into this interconference clash as we explore Green Bay vs Miami best bets and predictions for this Week 16 matchup.

Packers vs Dolphins Odds

Packers vs Dolphins odds are courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook as of 11 a.m. EST on Dec. 23.

The Dolphins are 3.5-point favorites, which has fallen from the opening line of 5.5 points. This has the makings of a close game.

The total is a bit high at 50 points considering the Packers’ slow-paced approach on offense. However, Miami has the pieces on offense to help this one go Over the number.

Take a look at the best Packers odds and Dolphins odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Packers vs Dolphins Implied Totals

Dolphins 26.75, Packers 23.25

Bookmakers project the Dolphins to snap their losing streak with a much-needed win against an inferior opponent.

They’re giving them a high implied total, believing that they’ve figured out their recent struggles on offense after scoring 29 points against the Buffalo Bills.

Packers vs Dolphins Prediction

Packers 27, Dolphins 24

The Packers have their full set of weapons at wideout, with Allen Lazard and Christian Watson now joined by the returning Romeo Doubs, who had five catches for 55 yards in his first game back from injury last week.

Watson and Doubs are a pair of impressive rookie wideouts that now give Aaron Rodgers a pretty solid group of wide receivers. We could see the Packers have success through the air against a Dolphins defense that ranks 26th in Pass DVOA, per Football Outsiders.

Green Bay’s weakness lies in defending the run, as they’re currently 32nd in Rush DVOA. This sets up perfectly for Raheem Mostert, who should be able to find success on the ground.

The Packers haven’t been great at defending the pass lately either, as they’ve given up production through the air to Justin Fields, Ryan Tannehill, and Dak Prescott in recent weeks.

It’s going to be difficult for them to slow down the best receiving duo in football right now in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Having said that, I believe that the Packers are trending upward right now with their improving offense. They have a chance to pull off the upset here.

Packers vs Dolphins Bet Tips

Here are a few Packers vs Dolphins betting trends to consider before making your bets:

  • The Packers are 6-8 against the spread and 7-7 in Over/Unders this season.
  • The Dolphins are 7-7 ATS and 7-7 in Over/Unders.
  • Green Bay finally has Allen Lazard, Christian Watson, and Romeo Doubs together.
  • The Packers have gone 3-2 in their last five, while Miami is on a three-game losing streak.

Packers vs Dolphins Best Bets

Packers +3.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

I’m betting on the Packers to keep it close in this spot, as I think that their offense at full strength has enough to keep pace with the Dolphins.

Look for Green Bay to try to slow the game down to keep Miami’s offense off the field. It wouldn’t even surprise me to see them pull off the upset here.

Over 50 Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Originally, I liked the Under here, as the Packers’ slow-paced approach on offense coupled with their poor run defense would make it difficult for this one to turn into a shootout.

However, this number has shot up from 47.5 to 50 points. Green Bay will likely have to air it out against a Dolphins’ defense that is much better at defending the run than the pass.

This game has the makings of a high-scoring game.
