Colts vs Giants Predictions & Odds

Last Updated: Dec 28, 2022

The Indianapolis Colts will take on the New York Giants this Sunday, Jan. 1, at 1 p.m. ET in a rare inter-conference matchup.

The Colts are essentially playing for dignity here as losers of five straight and eight of their last nine overall. Meanwhile, the Giants can clinch their first playoff berth since 2016 with a win.

See how I have this one going in my Indianapolis vs New York best bets and predictions.

Colts vs Giants Odds

As of Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Caesars Sportsbook, the Giants are listed as five-point favorites over the visiting Colts. This isn’t much of a surprise given New York’s superior record and home-field advantage.

Take a look at the best Colts odds and Giants odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Colts vs Giants Implied Totals

Giants 22.25, Colts 17.25

Bookmakers are projecting a relatively low-scoring game, with the Giants scoring just over 22 points in what figures to be a five-point victory.

Colts vs Giants Prediction

Giants 24, Colts 13

With this being a win-and-in scenario for the Giants, there’s very little doubt in my mind that they’ll win this game. The Colts have been absolutely dreadful this season regardless of which quarterback has been under center, and their lackluster run defense is sure to be exposed.

New York ranks sixth in rushing yards and fifth in touchdowns this year, largely due to the efforts of Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones. Barkley has logged 1,254 yards on the ground — his most since his rookie season — en route to his second Pro Bowl selection.

Indy won’t deliberately try to lose this game, but it might look like it at times. Look for the Giants to cover and head back to the playoffs for the first time in the post-Eli Manning era.

Colts vs Giants Bet Tips

Here are a few Colts vs Giants betting trends to consider before making your bets:

  • The Giants are 11-4 against the spread, while the Colts are 6-9.
  • New York is 2-2 outright as home favorites.
  • Overs are a combined 11-18-1 for these two teams.

Colts vs Giants Best Bets

Under 39.5 Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Neither one of these offenses is particularly capable when it comes to putting points on the board, and considering the Giants’ run-heavy style of play, the Under looks like the right move.

Giants -5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

Only one team has a better record against the spread than the Giants, and it’s certainly not the Colts. This is a must-win game, and I trust Brian Daboll to coach his squad to a comfortable victory.
