If you bet against the Lions last week, you’re officially out of the Survivor Pool. Isn’t that something?
Detroit, after losing or tying in their first 11 games, finally picked up a win last week against the Vikings. Outside of that, though, there weren’t any other massive upsets around the league.
I’ve been out of my pool since Week 8 but am here to provide analysis on the best selections each week for those who are still competing for the grand prize in their pools.
Without further ado, let’s get right to it.
All NFL gameday odds and lines are current as of Wednesday, December 8, at 11:00 a.m. ET.

The above survivor pool grid, created by Todd Beck of “The Prediction Tracker," uses the average of the top computer ratings in the sports betting industry including computer systems like Sagarin, ESPN FPI, Massey Ratings, Stat Fox, and many, many more.
To read this grid properly, the opening line and current line are based on the road team.
Keep in mind that when this article is posted, current lines can change and probability for teams can also change based on breaking news.
2021 NFL Survivor Pool: Best Picks to Win in Week 14
Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears
As it stands, rookie quarterback Justin Fields is considered questionable for this game. However, head coach Matt Nagy confirmed that the team won’t him at risk.
With the Bears playing Sunday Night Football at Lambeau Field, it’s hard to imagine Fields would actually get the start, under more spotlight, as he continues to recover.

The Packers, on the other hand, are 9-3 on the season and coming off of a bye week. Green Bay’s offense is only averaging 23.6 points per game, but in the last two weeks, they’ve scored a combined 67 points.
The Prediction Tracker has the Packers’ win probability at 79.40 percent. As a 12.5 point favorite, the Packers, if still available, would be the play for your NFL bet of the day.
Betting Pick: Packers -12.5 (-110) at Caesars

Tennessee Titans vs Jacksonville Jaguars
I know what you’re thinking. The Titans already lost to the Texans and Jets this season. Why would we take the Titans now?
The Jaguars are 2-10 on the year while the Titans are 8-4. The better team is clearly the Titans, and while they didn’t play well in those two games and can fall in weird spots, being home will absolutely help their case.
- Read our full Jaguars vs Titans predictions and best bets.
No. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence has thrown more interceptions than touchdown passes this season, while the defense has allowed 26.7 points per game. The Jaguars have also scored 17 or fewer points in each of their last five games, and while they did take down the Bills, Jacksonville still only scored nine points in the win.
I’m confident in the Titans, and so is the Prediction Tracker, which has the Titans winning 82.13 percent at home.
Betting Pick: Titans -8.5 (-110) at Caesars
2021 NFL Survivor Pools: Sleeper Team To Win
New Orleans Saints @ New York Jets
Some of you might’ve taken the Saints earlier, but if you didn’t roll with them when Jameis Winston was under center, you’ve likely stayed away from them throughout the year.
- Read our full Saints vs Jets predictions and best bets.
This is the perfect spot for the Saints to pull out a win. While Taysom Hill isn’t your typical quarterback, he can really help be a spark to this Saints offense, even with a jammed middle finger.
The Jets are allowing over 130 rushing yards per game. With Alvin Kamara questionable and Hill probable, I like New Orleans’ chances on the road. This is the perfect time to use the Saints if you haven’t already.
2021 NFL Survivor Pools: Future Team Value Pick to Save
San Francisco 49ers @ Cincinnati Bengals
The San Francisco 49ers will go on the road to take on the Cincinnati Bengals this week. Cincinnati has been extremely hard to figure out this year — one week they’re winning by double digits, and the next, they’re on the other side of a blowout.
- Read our full 49ers vs Bengals predictions and best bets.
However, at home, I wouldn’t bet against the Bengals here. The 49ers, on the other hand, have the Atlanta Falcons next week and will be a full touchdown favorite in that game.
We haven’t used the 49ers yet, and there’s a good chance we’ll use San Francisco next week instead.
2021 NFL Survivor Pools: Chalk Pick That Could Lose
Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Football Team
The Cowboys found success against the Saints last week, but before that game, Dallas had lost three of their last four games with the lone win coming against the Falcons.
Washington, on the other hand, has won four straight games and is 6-6 on the year. If Washington is able to defeat the Cowboys, at home, they’ll be one game out of first in the NFC East and still be in contention to win the division for the second year in a row.
The Cowboys are 8-4 on the year, but they’re sure as heck not playing like it right now.
