Alabama vs Georgia Props | CFB National Championship Player & Game Prop Bets

Last Updated: Jan 10, 2022

On Monday, Alabama plays Georgia in the CFB National Championship. In December, Alabama defeated Georgia in the SEC championship game as an underdog. In the rematch this Monday, Georgia is widely listed as a three-point favorite.

For the game, I like Alabama to win, but what about the National Championship prop bets?

There are good Alabama-Georgia prop bets available from player props to game props.

  • For player props I am looking at props for both quarterbacks, Stetson Bennett for Georgia and Bryce Young for Alabama.
  • For game props, Alabama will do well, so I am backing them in a pair of game props.

Below read about what bets I am making and why.

Please note that all NCAAF gameday odds and lines are current as of 7:30 p.m. ET on January 7.

Alabama vs Georgia Player Props

Bryce Young: Under 309.5 Passing Yards (-113) at TwinSpires

Wager: .75 Units

Bryce Young had a hell of a year for Alabama, that is why he won the Heisman Trophy.

✅ Read our full Alabama vs Georgia prediction.

In 14 games, he passed for 4,503 yards, 46 passing touchdowns, and only five interceptions. Young is averaging 321.6 passing yards a game this season.

So why would I bet on him to go Under his passing yards total in the most important game of the season? The Georgia defense.

Opposing quarterbacks pass for 186 yards per game this season against the Bulldogs which is the 10th-lowest in the FBS, and lowest in the SEC. They also allow opposing quarterbacks to complete only 57.3% of their passes and allow only 9.8 points per game, which is the lowest in the country.

Young should fare better than most quarterbacks against Georgia, but 310 or more passing yards is a tough hurdle to climb. The Under is the best bet.

Bryce Young Under 310.5 Passing Yards & Georgia Moneyline (+215) at FanDuel

Wager: .75 Units

I believe that Alabama will win the National Championship, but what if they don’t.

If Georgia wins, I believe that it will be because of a strong defensive performance.

➕ Make another CFB National Championship Game parlay.

It’s why a same-game parlay of Bryce Young having Under 310.5 passing yards and the Georgia Moneyline at +215 is a strong bet to place.

For this bet like most same-game parlays, it is important to shop around for the best price. FanDuel offers the best price at +215 which is much better than the +190 odds offered at TwinSpires.

Stetson Bennett, QB, Georgia Bulldogs

Stetson Bennett Over 256.5 Passing Yards (-113) at TwinSpires

Wager: 1 Unit

If you look at Stetson Bennett’s stats, the Over doesn’t look like a good bet on his passing yards total. Bennett is averaging only 202.9 passing yards per game. Alabama also has a strong defense.

So why would I bet on Bennett to have 26.4% more passing yards than usual?

I don’t believe that certain players are clutch, even Peyton Manning or Derek Jeter, but teams use their best players differently in more important games.

Georgia has an average scoring margin of +27.8, which is the best in the FBS. Since they won so many games in blowouts this season, there was no reason to not use Bennett conservatively when the games were out of reach for the other teams.

Against Michigan in the CFP Semifinals Orange Bowl, Bennett threw for 313 passing yards. Even in the loss against Alabama, he threw for 340 passing yards. Against Alabama again he should have more than 256.5 passing yards.

Alabama vs Georgia Game Props

Alabama Over 24.5 Points (-110) at TwinSpires

Wager: .5 Units

Alabama averaged 40.9 points per game this season, which was the fourth-best in the FBS, and the best in the SEC. Against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, the Crimson Tide scored 41 points despite playing the best defense in the country.

I could give a litany of nerd stats on why Alabama should score four or more touchdowns against the Bulldogs again, but you shouldn’t overthink this bet. Despite whether Georgia wins or loses, I would be surprised if the Bulldogs neuter Alabama’s offense.

Alabama -6 Alt Spread (+245) at Twinspires

Wager: .5 Units

You can bet on Alabama’s +3 spread at -115 odds. You can also bet on Alabama’s moneyline at +125. Why not live a little with an Alabama -6 alt line at +245 odds?

Alabama has an average scoring margin of 21.3 points, when the Tide win, they tend to triumph in a big way.

Even against Georgia in the SEC Championship it was a blowout. I would be shocked if they win a nailbiter in the rematch on Monday.
