Bet Types

Spread

Each game is assigned a point spread, which is a winning margin. The favorite has a minus with this margin while the underdog has a plus.

Total

For example, if you take Toronto Raptors/Boston Celtics Over 210.5, both teams need to combine for 211 or more points.

Moneyline

Each game has a moneyline. The favorite has minus odds, meaning you risk more than you win, while the underdog has plus odds, meaning you win more than you risk.

For example, if I bet on the Tampa Bay Lightning at -130, I’m risking $130 to win $100. Moneyline bets only require your team to win outright, not by an assigned winning margin.

Props

Props are assigned team or player outcomes. You bet on the over or under, and they can be for one game or for the entire season. For example, if I bet on Saquon Barkley Over 84.5 total yards, he needs to record 85 or more yards in order for me to win. If I bet on the New York Giants Over 3.5 sacks, they need to rack up four or more sacks in that game.

Futures

Futures are essentially prop bets that are settled in the future, usually by the end of the season. Most futures bets have plus moneyline odds, meaning that they pay more than you risk.

An example of a futures bet would be “The Buffalo Bills to win the Super Bowl (+600).” This means if I bet on this ticket and risk $10, I would win $60.

Live Bet

Live bets are available once the game has started. Point spreads, moneylines, totals, and props are updated in real-time, depending on what is happening in the game. You are able to place a live bet during a stoppage in play, so be sure to act quickly if you see a line that you like!
