Sunday Night Football Predictions Week 16 | SNF Picks & Washington vs Cowboys Best Bets

Last Updated: Dec 26, 2021

The Dallas Cowboys will welcome the Washington Football Team to AT&T Stadium as the Cowboys look to lock up the NFC East.

The Cowboys are currently 10-4 and watched the Eagles defeat the Football Team in Week 15’s Tuesday night special. They’re now inching closer and closer to an NFC East title, but for them, that’s not enough. They’ve been America’s team but haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1996.

Right now, the Cowboys just have to finish the job and try to win as many games as they can to guarantee home-field advantage. Against a Washington team that is fatigued due to COVID-19, Dallas is in a great position to level up.

Please note that all NFL Week 16 odds and lines are current as of 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 23.

Sunday Night Football Prediction Week 16

We don’t specifically know who will be the starting quarterback for the Washington Football Team. It was Garrett Gilbert last week against the Eagles because Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen were out due to protocols. However, it is looking like both quarterbacks will be back for this game and that Heinicke will get the start.

Washington has averaged less than three touchdowns per game this season with just 20.2 points per game. Meanwhile, the defense is starting to implode, giving up 25.1 points and 375 yards per game.

Washington had a huge stretch of wins before having to face the Cowboys and Eagles. If the Football Team can’t beat teams in their division, then things aren’t going to work out.

The Cowboys dominated Washington two weeks ago, with Taylor Heinicke struggling throughout the entire game before getting injured. Kyle Allen came in and had success under center. The defense also made some big stops in the fourth quarter, but it was a little too late.

If Washington comes out flat against the Cowboys again this week, they won’t be able to get back into this game, especially on the road.

SNF Week 16 Pick: Cowboys, 24, Washington, 13

Sunday Night Football Best Bets Week 16

SNF Best Bet: Cowboys -10.5 (-110) at Caesars

Wager: 1 Unit

It’s always hard to lay double-digits on a Sunday Night Football game. However, Washington is starting to really struggle against divisional opponents. The Football Team has now lost two straight to divisional opponents, and looked lost for three quarters when playing the Cowboys at home.

The Football Team also had to play a Tuesday night game against the Eagles. It’s hard to back them knowing they’ll have fatigue, less practice, and all of that.

I like Dallas to get the job done kind of easily.

SNF Best Bet: Under 46.5 Total Points (-110) at Caesars

I really believe that the Cowboys offense will get back into form against Washington. Dallas went up big and then kind of played a bit lackadaisical against the Football Team later in the game.

At home, on Sunday night, the focus is going to be there for Dallas offensively. However, I’m not so high on Washington.

If Heinicke gets the start, it’ll be interesting to see how many points this Football Team is capable of. They struggled in a big way against the Cowboys with Heinicke under center, and I’d assume he’ll get the start this week if healthy.

While Dallas will score points, I’m not so sure Washington will help get the total Over.
