Last Updated: Dec 21, 2022

Thanks for arriving at The Game Day’s X-mas betting tips! Kindly head over to our new NFL Christmas Day Parlay hub page.

There’s no better feeling than unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning. For bettors, one that might rival that joyous moment is cashing a longshot parlay.

This Christmas, why not try to do both?

With two appetizing NFL games on the schedule for December 25, I’ll be looking for ways to celebrate by building my bankroll.

Let’s dive in to find my favorite parlay bets for Christmas Day.

Christmas NFL gameday odds and lines are current as of 2:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, December 22.

Best NFL Christmas Parlay Week 16

NFL Christmas Top Parlay Picks

Wager: 3 Units To Win 7.44 Units (+148) at FOX Bet

  • Green Bay Packers Moneyline (-333) vs Cleveland Browns
  • Indianapolis Colts Moneyline (-110) at Arizona Cardinals

Green Bay Packers Moneyline vs Cleveland Browns

There are a lot of factors that favor the Packers in this one. Green Bay is the more rested team after playing on Sunday while Cleveland had its Week 15 game postponed until Monday night due to COVID-19 concerns.

The Packers are also the healthier team, as the Browns were without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield, running back Kareem Hunt, top wideout Jarvis Landry, and many other key pieces on the offensive line and defense in a 16-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Even if these two teams were at full strength, though, I’d still like Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to pull out a win at Lambeau. Rodgers’ career 23-3 straight up record at home in December speaks for itself.

Indianapolis Colts Moneyline at Arizona Cardinals

The Indianapolis Colts proved their worth as legitimate playoff contenders in Week 15 with a home victory over the Patriots, putting an end to New England’s seven-game winning streak. Jonathan Taylor, relatively held in check for most of the night, sealed the win with a 67-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals fell face first into a trap game, losing 30-12 to the lowly Detroit Lions. Arizona wasn’t able to come up with much offensively without DeAndre Hopkins and gave up over 100 yards on the ground to Craig Reynolds. (No, I don’t really know who that is either.)

I’m sure we’ll see a better effort from the Cardinals at home in a primetime game, but Taylor should feast again, and the Colts also have the rest and health advantage here after playing last Saturday.

This game should be close, but I like Indianapolis to pull this one out.

NFL Christmas Longshot Parlay Prediction

Wager: 1 Unit To Win 8 Units (+800) at FOX Bet

  • Indianapolis Colts by 1-6 (+350) at Arizona Cardinals
  • Green Bay Packers Over 26.5 Points (+100) vs Cleveland Browns

Indianapolis Colts to Win by 1-6 Points at Arizona Cardinals

This is a bit more of a gut feeling play than anything else, especially since this bet has only hit once in all of the Colts’ games this season, a 23-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars back in Week 10. But that doesn’t mean Indianapolis isn’t prone to playing close games.

Three of the Colts’ six losses this season have come by six points or less and a fourth came by seven. And while most of their wins have been by double digits, Indianapolis has a knack for letting teams back into games after pulling ahead early.

On Saturday, the Colts led the Patriots 20-0 entering the fourth quarter only to concede 17 straight points, giving fans (and Indy -2.5 bettors) a sweat until Jonathan Taylor broke off a long touchdown run late to put them out of reach.

This won’t ever be a comfortable bet, but I think there’s value in it.

Green Bay Packers Over 26.5 Total Points vs Cleveland Browns

The Packers are averaging 25.6 points per game this season, but they’ve cleared this team total in four straight games and look to be peaking at the right time. Aaron Rodgers traditionally plays his best football at home in December and should be able to carve up a Cleveland defense that ranks No. 23 in pass defense DVOA.

The Browns have held opponents under 23 points in four straight games, but two of those contests came against quarterbacks Tim Boyle and Tyler Huntley. Cleveland has struggled against premier opposition this season, allowing 27 or more points to the Chiefs, Chargers, Cardinals, and Patriots.

The Packers are certainly in that class, and they should light up the scoreboard in this one, making this our NFL bet of the day.

Same Game Parlay Picks NFL Christmas

Wager: 2 Units to win 4.10 Units (+205) at FOX Bet

  • Indianapolis Colts +3.5 & Total Points Over 49.5

I think this game has sneaky shootout potential, and while I don’t love missing out on the hook here on the total at a key number of 49, I like getting 3.5 points with the Colts just in case the Cardinals sneak out a home win.

Arizona has allowed 30 points in each of its last two games and was just gashed on the ground by the Lions. Jonathan Taylor should see 20+ carries once again, which doesn’t theoretically help the Over, but his big-play ability coupled with the Cardinals’ inability to defend the run at the second level could lead to quick points for the Colts.

On the other side of the ball, Arizona’s offense has looked out of sync the past few weeks, but a lot of that can be explained by Kyler Murray returning from injury and the playmakers around him rotating in and out of the lineup.

Even with DeAndre Hopkins still sidelined, I expect the Cardinals to look better on offense than they did last week in a game they really need to maintain their lead in a crowded NFC West.

The Cardinals rank seventh in situation neutral pace, which helps balance out the Colts’ rush-heavy attack, and Murray’s dual-threat ability is key to keeping drives alive, scoring touchdowns in the red zone, and getting points in the two-minute drill.

I expect this game to be a close one that’s played in the 50s, making this SGP a strong option.
