Polymarket Bitcoin: Guide To Bitcoin Markets & Payment Options In 2026

Bitcoin is undoubtedly the biggest and most popular cryptocurrency. So, I wasn’t surprised to see it on the list of markets at the Polymarket crypto section. When I checked the available Polymarket Bitcoin markets, I found 35 event contracts.

I discovered that you can trade Yes/No or Up/Down on Bitcoin prices on the prediction site. There are also markets that settle in 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 4 hours if you don’t want to trade Bitcoin prices daily, monthly, or yearly. In this article, I’ll show you how the Bitcoin prediction market works at Polymarket.

Quick Facts About the Polymarket Bitcoin Prediction Market

  • Bitcoin is one of the cryptocurrencies you’ll find in the Polymarket crypto section.
  • You can trade Up/Down or Yes/No contracts on Bitcoin prices at Polymarket.
  • Correct Bitcoin predictions pay $1 per share.
  • Some Bitcoin markets at Polymarket include 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, daily, monthly, and yearly.

How the Polymarket Bitcoin Prediction Market Works

Bitcoin is one of the cryptocurrencies you can trade as event contracts at Polymarket. Each Bitcoin event contract has prices ranging from 0 to 100 cents, alongside the trading volume. A Polymarket Bitcoin price shows the implied probability that the event will occur.

For instance, if you trade an event contract and the Yes price is 88¢ while the No price is 19¢, it means most traders believe the event will happen. Note that the Yes and No prices don’t usually sum to 100¢ because probabilities and prices can move as the live order book gets updated and spread increases.

Prices update frequently in response to data releases, and the latest information affects traders’ sentiments. You can also trade Up or Down Bitcoin event contracts. Based on my observation on the site, this option is available on short-term Bitcoin prediction markets.

I traded Bitcoin price Up or Down on 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, and 4-hour markets. You can also make daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly Bitcoin price forecasts on Polymarket. Note that you can buy multiple shares of a Bitcoin event contract.

If your prediction is correct, you’ll receive a $1 payout per share. But if the market doesn’t move in favor of your trade, you’ll get $0. Per my experience, you don’t need to wait till the market resolves. You can sell your contract to lock in profits as trade prices rise, or cut your losses.

To find the Polymarket Bitcoin section, click the Crypto category on the homepage. When I did, I found 35 markets. Some popular subcategories include weekly, monthly, and pre-market. Each of these subcategories has a page showing active markets, trading volume, and live probabilities.

Why I Prefer Polymarket for Bitcoin Predictions

Regulation and Security

Polymarket is a regulated prediction site. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regulates it to offer prediction trading services as a Designated Contract Market. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about its legitimacy.

Also, Polymarket is secure. When I checked its security features, I saw that it uses data encryption and firewalls to protect traders’ information from unauthorized access. Also, traders can enable two-factor authentication.

Loads of Bitcoin Markets

I counted 35 Bitcoin markets at Polymarket. This high number of event contracts shows Polymarket didn’t come to play.

You can trade Up/Down or Yes/No event contracts on Bitcoin prices. Whether you prefer the 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly Bitcoin market, you’ll find it in Polymarket.

Excellent Customer Support

Customer support is one of the things I consider before giving a prediction site high ratings. During my Polymarket review, I discovered the site offers email and live chat support options for traders who want to reach out.

I tried the live chat and got instant replies. Also, the live chat support team was professional and knowledgeable. I received detailed responses to my questions. The email support team is also quick to respond, but not as fast as live chat.

If you’re like me and are always looking for a help center to quickly scan answers to frequently asked questions, Polymarket offers one. You’ll see answers to troubleshooting, deposit, and account issues.

Many Secure Payment Methods

It’s easy to deposit and withdraw funds from Polymarket due to the available secure payment methods. You can deposit on the site using debit cards, bank transfer, and cryptocurrencies.

The number of supported payment methods ensures you don’t struggle to fund your account, start Bitcoin predictions, sell your event contract, and withdraw your cash.

Mobile Compatibility

The Polymarket website is my preferred option for trading Bitcoin event contracts. But the site also offers a dedicated mobile app. If you’re on the go and want to quickly place a Bitcoin prediction trade, you can access the mobile-optimized website with your smartphone and tablet or use the app.

The app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. From experience using the Polymarket app, it maintains the same interface, design, and functionality as the website.

Other Top Crypto Markets at Polymarket

Granted, Bitcoin is the most popular crypto market at Polymarket, but there are other cryptocurrencies featured on the site. These include:

Ethereum

Without any doubt, Ethereum (ETH) is the second-largest cryptocurrency on Polymarket. I found 18 ETH markets during my time on the site. Like with Bitcoin, you can trade Yes or No Ethereum prediction contracts. Also, there are Up or Down short-term markets for traders interested in markets that resolve quickly.

My first ETH prediction was whether Ethereum would go Up or Down on June 9, at 9 AM ET. Another prediction I made was what price Ethereum would hit in July.

Solana

If you’ve been keeping up with Solana news and are interested in trading event contracts on this popular cryptocurrency, you’ll find 13 markets at Polymarket.

Solana is also one of the cryptos featured in the Polymarket 15-minute markets. For instance, I forecasted whether the SOL price would go Up or Down in 15 minutes.

Aside from the 15-minute market, I found 5-minute, 1-hour, and 4-hour SOL markets during my Polymarket review. Also, I predicted SOL’s all-time high by June, September 30, and December 31.

Ripple

I wasn’t surprised to see Ripple (XRP) among the cryptocurrencies featured on Polymarket, as it’s arguably one of the top five cryptocurrencies by market cap with an $87 billion market capitalization.

There were 11 Ripple event contracts, including 5-minute, 15-minute, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly markets. My first prediction was “what price XRP will hit between June 8 and 14". I also checked the Up and Down market and predicted whether XRP would go down in one hour.

Hyperliquid

Granted, Hyperliquid (HYPE) isn’t an OG crypto like Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, or Ripple, but it’s one of the hottest cryptocurrencies currently. I saw the new crypto listed on the 5-minute, 15-minute, and 1-hour markets.

I first predicted the Hyperliquid HIP-3 open interest in 2026. My second prediction was whether Elon Musk would tweet Hyperliquid before December 31, 2026.

Airdrops

I was surprised to see that Polymarket supports airdrop prediction trading. Some markets I found in the Polymarket airdrops category include the Pump.fun airdrop by December 31st, 2026, what floor price CryptoPunks will hit before 2027, and the next token sale on Coinbase by December 31st, 2026.

Top 5 Tips for Trading Bitcoin Event Contracts at Polymarket

I used the following expert tips to make rewarding Bitcoin predictions at Polymarket:

Monitor the Trade Closely

I recommend monitoring your Bitcoin event contracts closely. That way, you’ll know whether the trade is going in your favor or the price is going in a different direction.

For instance, if you trade the Bitcoin price to go up and the price starts going down rapidly, you can sell the event contract to avoid further losses. On the other hand, if the price continues to go up, you can also sell your contract to collect your profit.

Track Bitcoin Price at Leading Exchanges Like Binance

It’s not enough to monitor your trade closely; also, track the current Bitcoin price on top-rated exchanges like Binance to ensure it truly reflects what’s on Polymarket.

Based on what I observed, Polymarket uses real-time data from CoinGecko and Binance to resolve Bitcoin markets.

Enter 5-Minute and 15-Minute Markets

If you’re looking for something that looks like Bitcoin day trading on Polymarket, consider the short-term markets. The 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, and 4-hour markets are my favorites.

I traded the “Bitcoin price Up and Down 5 mins" contract several times. Also, the 15-minute markets were my favorites. Enough time to see significant moves, but still fast enough to resolve quickly.

Try Other Crypto Contracts

Granted, Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency at Polymarket, but you can trade event contracts on other cryptos like Ethereum, Dogecoin, Solana, Ripple, Hyperliquid, and BNB.

I recommend trading Yes/No and Up/Down markets on these cryptos. Some cryptocurrencies, like Ethereum, currently have 18 markets.

Conclusion – Make Fast and Easy Forecasts on Bitcoin Prices at Polymarket

In my opinion, Polymarket outdid itself with the number of Bitcoin markets. I counted 35, which is bigger than what I found at many similar prediction sites.

You can trade Yes/No event contracts or go for the Up/Down markets if you’re looking for a contract that settles quickly. If your Bitcoin event contract resolves favorably, you’ll get a $1 payout per share. On the other hand, if your prediction is wrong, the market will resolve to $0.

If you don’t want to trade only Bitcoin, Polymarket also offers other crypto event contracts, like Solana, Ripple, Dogecoin, Ethereum, BNB, and Hyperliquid. Click the banners on this page to register at Polymarket and start trading Bitcoin prediction markets today.
