Panthers Odds 2024 | Best Panthers Spreads, Props, & More

Last Updated: Aug 10, 2023

The Panthers finished the 2022 season with seven wins but made a big move in the offseason by trading up to the No. 1 spot in the NFL Draft.

Carolina selected Alabama QB Bryce Young to be the face of the franchise, but it might take more than one year for the Panthers to become a force in the NFC South.

Let’s dive in on how the betting markets forecast the Panthers 2023-24 season.

Panthers Win Total Odds

  • Over 7.5 Wins (-135)
  • Under 7.5 Wins (+115)

Panthers Win Total Bet: Under 7.5 Wins (+115)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

The Panthers, ranked No. 20 in our power rankings, have a tough start to the season, with three out of their first six games against teams that made the playoffs last year. They also take on an improved Saints side, as well as the Lions, who just missed out on the playoffs last season.

New head coach Frank Reich will be a great mentor for Young, but this offense does not have many weapons for him, trading D.J. Moore to the Bears and Christian McCaffrey to the 49ers. Miles Sanders is a solid RB in the league but is not the dynamic player that McCaffrey is.

Panthers Make Playoffs Odds

  • Yes (+220)
  • No (-260)

Panthers Make Playoffs Bet: No (-260)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 0 Units

There is no value in betting on the Panthers to miss the playoffs at (-260).

Panthers Futures Prop Bets

Panthers Division Finish Position: Third (+210)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: .5 Units

The Panthers finished second in the division last year behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina, New Orleans, and Atlanta all finished with seven wins.

The Bucs no longer have Tom Brady, and the Falcons enter the season with second-year QB Desmond Ridder. The Saints are favored to win the division this season with new QB Derek Carr at the helm.

The Falcons are the more experienced team behind the Saints and have continuity, which the other two do not. I think the Falcons will finish second in the division, but the Panthers could come in third.

I don’t expect the Bucs to be successful this year with Baker Mayfield or Kyle Trask leading them.

Panthers Exact Number of Wins: 6 (+550)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: .2 Units

This is a bit of a risky bet, but I think Young can lead the Panthers to at least six wins this year. That would be a win for the franchise in its first year with a new head coach and rookie QB.

Their offensive weapons still need help, so this would be a building block year before making a big move next offseason to bring in talent for Young.

How to Bet on Panthers Games in 2023

How to Bet Panthers Moneylines

NFL moneyline wagers are the simplest forms of NFL bets. All you have to do is pick a team to win a given game, and if they do, you win your bet.

Since winning is the only requirement to cash your bet, the odds for NFL moneylines can vary greatly depending on each team’s implied probability of winning (or losing) that game. Favorites are designated by a minus symbol (-200), whereas underdogs are represented by a plus symbol (+200).

If the Panthers are a (-200) favorite against the rival Saints, you would have to bet $20 to turn a $10 profit. If Carolina was a (+200) underdog, you would profit $20 off a $10 bet.

  • 2022 Panthers Moneyline Record: 7-10

How to Bet Panthers Spreads

Betting the spread is the most efficient way to wager on NFL games, as it presents two evenly priced options. The spread, which is assigned a value by the books, is the number of points that the favorite is expected to win by against the underdog.

If the Panthers are 6-point favorites over the Commanders, the spread for that game will be set up like this: Panthers -6 (-110) vs Commanders +6 (-110).

In this scenario, the Panthers would have to win by more than six points for you to win your bet. If they were to win by a pair of field goals, your bet would push and you would recoup your initial wager.

  • 2022 Panthers Against the Spread Record: 9-8

How to Bet Panthers Over/Unders

If you don’t want to pick a side, you can still bet on Panthers games by wagering on the total number of points scored.

Sportsbooks set the amount of combined points they expect both teams in the game to score, and then you can bet on either the Over or the Under.

If you expect Young, Thielen, and the Panthers to light up the scoreboard, then you’ll probably want to take the Over. If you think a specific game could be more defensive, then you would bet the Under.

  • 2022 Panthers Over/Under Record: 8-9
