The NFC West was filled with surprises last year. The Seattle Seahawks shocked the football world with a playoff berth, while the defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams bottomed out due to injuries.

The San Francisco 49ers were the class of this division last year, but which team is set up nicely to win this division this time around?

Let’s dig into the latest NFC West winner odds to make a prediction and pick out our favorite sleeper bet.

  • Seattle Seahawks (+550)
  • Arizona Cardinals (+1400)

The 49ers are relatively heavy favorites to win the division, which isn’t too much of a surprise considering their stacked roster. They’re flush with elite offensive playmakers while having one of the best defenses in the NFL.

However, it’s shocking to see that the Rams are ranked higher than the Seahawks right now. Los Angeles is trying to re-tool as they look to unload veteran players like cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Meanwhile, Seattle has a top-5 pick in this year’s draft, so they’re well-equipped to upgrade their roster. This team looks poised to build on last season’s playoff berth rather than regress.

The Cardinals are clearly the worst team in the division. It’s hard to see them contending this year with Kyler Murray coming back from such a significant knee injury.

NFC West Winner Best Bet

San Francisco 49ers (-165) | DraftKings Sportsbook

The 49ers have a major question mark at quarterback, but as we’ve seen throughout the Kyle Shanahan era, this team is good enough to overcome any concerns.

Even if Brock Purdy (torn UCL) isn’t ready for the start of the season, they’ll have Trey Lance ready to take over. The former first-round pick just needs an opportunity to show what he can do.

He’s an athletic and mobile quarterback who can take this offense to new heights.

San Francisco lost defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, but they hired a capable replacement in Steve Wilks. This defense should remain among the strongest units in the league, featuring studs like edge rusher Nick Bosa and linebacker Fred Warner.

NFC West Winner Sleeper Pick

Seattle Seahawks (+550) | DraftKings Sportsbook

The Seahawks are a phenomenal value at +550 odds. They retained breakout quarterback Geno Smith and hold the fifth and 20th overall picks in the NFL Draft.

That gives them an opportunity to add a much-needed impact edge rusher to this defense.

This team hit an absolute home run with their 2022 draft class. Rookie running back Ken Walker, cornerback Tariq Woolen, and left tackle Charles Cross each had strong debut seasons.

The Seahawks are trending upward right now, especially if Smith can build off last season’s performance. We’re looking at a dark horse Super Bowl contender that can definitely usurp the 49ers for the NFC West throne.
