The 2024 MLB season is finally here, so it’s time to take a look at the odds and best bets for the Nationals League.
There are several contenders for the NL Pennant, so there are a number of options to target.
Let’s look at current betting odds to determine the best bet to win the 2024 National League pennant.

We’ll begin our National League preview by removing non-contenders from consideration.
The Rockies are the laughingstock of MLB with no semblance of direction, while the Nationals are in the early stages of a rebuild.
The Pirates are flush with young talent, including Oneil Cruz, Ke’Bryan Hayes, Paul Skenes, and Jared Jones, but they’re still a year or two away.
The Brewers just traded away Corbin Burnes, while the Marlins don’t have a good enough lineup, and the Mets are thin in the rotation.
That gives us nine options to choose from the NL Pennant in the 2024 MLB season.
National League Pennant Best Bet 2024
Atlanta Braves (+240)

While my best bet usually features a team with longer odds, I can’t pass up the Braves at (+240) because we’re getting the best team in MLB at a great price.
This is a team with the best lineup in baseball, led by Ronald Acuna Jr, Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies, Michael Harris II, and Austin Riley.
When you also add in more power threats like Marcell Ozuna and Sean Murphy, you can see why it’s hard to see any negative regression from last year’s spectacular season.
The rotation is led by Spencer Strider, who is the best pitcher in baseball right now. Strider added a curveball this offseason, which could make him even more unhittable.
Atlanta also brought in Chris Sale, who is finally healthy and poised for a resurgence while playing for a World Series contender.
Add in dependable frontline starter Max Fried and reliable veteran innings-eater Charlie Morton, and you have a nice group.
There’s even converted reliever Reynaldo Lopez, who won the number five spot in the rotation and could be an x-factor here.
Even at (+240) odds, the Braves look like a great bet to win the 2024 NL Pennant.
National League Pennant Contender 2024
Los Angeles Dodgers (+180)

The Dodgers are a chalk play, but they’re my next favorite contender to target for the NL Pennant because this team is absolutely stacked.
The lineup added Teoscar Hernandez, who should bounce back from a disappointing season in Seattle while playing alongside Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, and much more.
We could see James Outman continue to develop as a hitter, especially if he can cut down on the strikeouts.
Not to mention that Will Smith is coming off a down year and should get back on track while playing in such a stacked offense.
The rotation added a lot of upside with Tyler Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, each of whom can perform like aces when they’re in top form.
Walker Buehler is almost ready to return, while James Paxton adds a veteran presence to this group. Let’s not forget Gavin Stone, who parlayed a terrific spring into a spot in this rotation.
The bullpen remains strong with Evan Phillips leading the way as closer.
The Dodgers are heavy favorites for good reason, so they’re a strong bet to win the 2024 NL Pennant.

National League Pennant Sleeper 2024
San Francisco Giants (+2200)

The Giants are my top sleeper for the NL Pennant because they did a great job bolstering their roster throughout free agency.
San Francisco brought in power with Jorge Soler and Matt Chapman, as well as contact with Jung Ho-Lee.
All of a sudden this looks like a rock-solid lineup when you add in Thairo Estrada along with their series of platoon players like LaMonte Wade, Michael Conforto, and more.
The Giants also signed 2023 NL Cy Young Blake Snell to form a terrific pair with ace Logan Webb.
Jordan Hicks was brought in from the Blue Jays, shifting from the bullpen to the rotation. The former reliever has looked quite impressive this spring.
Don’t forget about Kyle Harrison, who is a former top prospect. We could also see Alex Cobb and Robbie Ray (acquired from Mariners) later in the season.
The bullpen is highlighted by Camilo Doval, who is one of the best closers in baseball.
The Giants are now a well-rounded team that can contend for the NL Pennant, making them a nice value play at (+2200) odds.
