Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Odds & Props 2026

Last Updated: 17 hours ago

There’s no better Fourth of July tradition than the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, New York.

As America celebrates its 250th birthday on Saturday, Joey Chestnut will take center stage, looking to defend the Mustard Belt and claim his 18th career title in the men’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

On the women’s side, 11-time champion Miki Sudo will try to collect her fifth consecutive Mustard Belt and top her world record of 51 hot dogs and buns.

To prepare for Saturday’s showcase, let’s look at the 2026 Hot Dog Eating Contest odds and make some Hot Dog Eating Contest predictions.

Men’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Odds

Betting odds for the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest are current as of Friday, July 3, and courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Unsurprisingly, Chestnut is such a big favorite to win that FanDuel is only offering Men’s Winner odds without Chestnut.

  • Patrick Bertoletti (-300)
  • Geoffrey Esper (+600)
  • James Webb (+650)
  • Nick Wehry (+1500)
  • Derek Hendrickson (+7500)
  • Radim Dvoracek (+7500)

Below, we’ll also dig into some Joey Chestnut prop bets for the Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Women’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Odds

Given her run of success, Sudo is also a significant favorite in the Women’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. Currently, FanDuel Sportsbook is only offering Hot Dog Contest odds for her against the entire field.

  • Miki Sudo (-1450)
  • Field (+660)

Hot Dog Eating Contest Winner Picks

Patrick Bertoletti: Winner without Chestnut (-300)

While it’s pretty clear that Chestnut is going to claim the Mustard Belt, we’re getting way better odds on Bertoletti to finish as the runner-up.

The 41-year-old claimed the Mustard Belt in 2024 when Chestnut was absent from the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest after accepting an endorsement deal from Impossible Foods.

Bertoletti guzzled down 58 hot dogs and buns two years ago and finished second to Chestnut last year after devouring 46.5 hot dogs and buns.

He’s the clear second-best eater in this field, so I’m backing him at a reasonable price point.

Miki Sudo: Wins the Hot Dog Eating Contest (-1450)

There will be no upset here.

Sudo has dominated the Women’s Hot Dog Eating Contest over the last decade and should add another title to her mantle on Saturday.

Michelle Lesco (2021) is the only other recent women’s champion, but she didn’t have to beat Sudo, who was pregnant and didn’t participate.

The 40-year-old is the top woman in the MLE rankings and sits at No. 5 overall behind Chestnut, Bertoletti, Geoffrey Esper, and James Webb.

Sudo is a force to be reckoned with, but admittedly, backing her at this price isn’t ideal.

Hot Dog Eating Contest Props

Will Joey Chestnut’s Record of 76 Hot Dogs Eaten be Broken?: No (-750)

There currently aren’t many ways to target unders on FanDuel, but this Hot Dog Eating Contest prop feels like a pretty safe bet.

New York is expecting temperatures in the mid-90s on Saturday, which doesn’t make the task of guzzling down 76.5 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes any easier.

🌭 Check out this year’s DraftKings Hot Dog Eating Contest promo.

Chestnut had far better conditions last year in his return to the event and only ate 70.5 hot dogs and buns.

While this price is pretty steep, it feels like as safe a bet as Chestnut winning the Mustard Belt.
