Raiders vs Titans Predictions

Last Updated: Sep 23, 2022

The Las Vegas Raiders (0-2) will travel cross-country this Sunday to take on the Tennessee Titans (0-2) at Nissan Stadium as each team looks for their first victory of the season.

The betting market has already shifted for this matchup following the Titans’ brutal defeat at the hands of the Buffalo Bills Monday night. Meanwhile, the Raiders, who entered this season with considerable hype, secured their second loss of the season when they fell to the Arizona Cardinals in overtime last Sunday.

Who will claim their first victory while the other team falls to 0-3?

Let’s look at the current betting lines to identify our Las Vegas vs Tennessee best bets and predictions.

Raiders vs Titans Odds

The Las Vegas Raiders are currently listed as modest 2-point favorites on the road against the Tennessee Titans, which quickly grew from their opening one-point margin after the Titans were destroyed on Monday Night Football against the Bills.

Sportsbooks have the Over/Under set at 45.5 points, which is in the middle of the pack for Week 3 totals.

Raiders vs Titans Implied Totals

Raiders 23.75, Titans 21.75

This matchup opened a virtual toss-up, with the Raiders being handed a slight edge as a road favorite. However, a brutal loss to the Bills on Monday night extended the Raiders’ advantage overnight.

Raiders vs Titans Prediction

Raiders 27, Titans 20

When making a prediction, it may be difficult to erase the Titans’ 41-7 loss to the Bills from your memory, but people tend to forget that Tennessee was the No. 1 seed in the playoffs last season for the AFC. In addition, they will be playing this game at home while the Raiders travel from Las Vegas to Nashville.

That said, the Raiders are down 4-1 in the turnover battle this season, which is likely to even itself out. At the same time, their passing attack, led by Davante Adams, Darren Waller, and Hunter Renfrow, is still dangerous enough to turn things around in a hurry.

Las Vegas lost a close game to the Chargers in Week 1, which is nothing to be ashamed of. However, the Raiders blew a 20-point lead against Arizona, which is both a cause for concern and a reason for hope. Of course, you never want to see a meltdown, especially the largest in your team’s history, but it can easily be argued that the Raiders should have won that game.

Suppose the showdown between the Raiders and Titans comes down to the ground attack. In that case, Tennessee has a clear advantage with Pro Bowl juggernaut Derrick Henry, even if Buffalo held the veteran to 25 yards on 13 carries. The Bills are just that good.

Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs has only 69 yards on 19 carries so far for Las Vegas, who will likely struggle to run the ball all season.

The bottom line is that there is no mistaking how awful the Titans have looked so far, while the Raiders have shown flashes of brilliance. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs torched the Tennessee secondary, and there is no reason to believe Derek Carr and Adams will fail to do the same.

Raiders vs Titans Bet Tips

  • The Titans are 0-2 ATS this season following their shocking loss to the New York Giants in Week 1 and primetime beating against the Bills.
  • The Raiders have covered the spread once in their last 11 games in which they were favored.
  • Tennessee is 8-3 outright in their last 11 games as an underdog.
  • Tennessee has 3 straight victories as a home underdog.
  • The Titans and Raiders have not played each other since Dec. 8, 2019, when Tennessee won 42-21 in Oakland.

Raiders vs Titans Best Bets

Raiders -2.0 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

As mentioned above, Las Vegas has shown they are a solid football at times early this season, while the Titans have stumbled out of the gate hard.

I expect Tennessee to establish the run early but to fall behind quickly due to the Raiders’ potent passing attack. It will be a game of catchup for Mike Vrabel‘s squad once again, but I do not expect a blowout.

Over 45.5 Total Points (-110) at Caesars

The Titans’ secondary is a liability, and Carr should have no issues carving them up with the weapons at his disposal.

Meanwhile, the Raiders have allowed 53 points over their first two games, and Henry is unlikely to be silenced two weeks in a row.
