Raiders Odds 2024 | Best Raiders Spreads, Props, & More

Last Updated: Aug 11, 2023

The Raiders surprisingly reached the playoffs in a tumultuous 2021 season in which Jon Gruden was fired during the campaign, and Henry Ruggs was involved in a fatal car accident. The underlying data indicated the Raiders outkicked their coverage. Nevertheless, the club made splashy offseason moves, namely hiring Josh McDaniels as the head coach and trading for Davante Adams. Cosplaying as Patriots West and making a win-now trade for Adams resulted in a 6-11 season. Yikes. What can bettors expect from the Raiders with McDaniels at the helm this year?

Raiders Win Total Odds

  • Over 7.5 Wins (+120)
  • Under 7.5 Wins (-140)

Raiders Win Total Bet: Under 7.5 (-150)

Caesars Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.28 unit(s)

The Raiders, who rank at No. 14 in our NFL offense power rankings, were outscored by 23 points last year. They could have won another game or two with some luck in close contests. Unfortunately, they didn’t have significant resources to upgrade the club. Further, they have a challenging schedule.

They’ll struggle to win any games in AFC West if Sean Payton can revive Russell Wilson’s career. And the contests out of the division don’t provide them with many pushovers. Instead, it would be an upset if they won any games against the four teams in the AFC East.

They also have contests against two more teams that qualified for the playoffs in 2022, hosting the Giants and Vikings. The Raiders will struggle to win five games this year.

Raiders Make Playoffs Odds

  • Yes (+350)
  • No (-450)

Raiders Make Playoffs Bet: No (-450)

Caesars Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.22 unit(s)

Jimmy Garoppolo deserves credit for playing well under the guidance of Kyle Shanahan and with an embarrassment of riches at his disposal. Unfortunately, no one is confusing McDaniels for Shanahan. Furthermore, while Adams is a stud, the rest of the offensive infrastructure isn’t close to the same tier as San Francisco’s.

The Raiders aren’t a serious playoff contender, reflected in their betting odds. Still, having substantial resources tied up at such short odds for the season isn’t appealing. Thus, the suggested wager amount is small.

Raiders Futures Prop Bets

Raiders Division Finishing Position: 4th (+100)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.50 unit(s)

There isn’t a market for the first head coach fired in the 2023 season. Otherwise, betting on McDaniels at +200 or longer would be the top suggested futures prop bet. Instead, betting on the Raiders falling behind the Broncos for a fourth-place finish at even money is desirable.

The Chiefs and Chargers are markedly better teams than the Raiders. So, this is essentially a bet on Payton doing more with the Broncos than McDaniels can accomplish with the Raiders.

Jimmy Garoppolo 3,575.5 Regular Season Passing Yards (-115)

Caesars Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.25 unit(s)

Labeling players as injury prone might be unfair since there’s an inherent risk to all players in the violent sport of football. Nevertheless, In the previous three seasons, Jimmy G has played six, 15, and 11 games. Furthermore, Garoppolo has less talent and has a less accomplished play-caller in his new home than on the loaded 49ers.

Finally, the Raiders traded up to the 135th pick of this year’s NFL Draft to choose quarterback Aidan O’Connell. So, if the Raiders start slowly, McDaniels could pull the switch at quarterback as a last-ditch effort to save his job. Thus, many paths beyond an underwhelming performance exist for Garoppolo to have less than 3,575.5 passing yards.

Tyree Wilson Defensive Rookie of the Year (+800)

Betway Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.25 unit(s)

Looking back at recent seasons for information about voter tendencies is wise, and defensive linemen and pass rushers have fared well in Defensive Rookie of the Year (DROY) voting. Since 2013, six players selected for the DROY were defensive linemen or pass rushers, including three in the past four years. Tyree Wilson is an ascending prospect at the edge position.

According to Pro Football Focus (PFF), Wilson had eight sacks, 10 quarterback hits, 32 hurries, and the highest pressure grade of his collegiate career in 10 games last year. Wilson can also benefit immensely from playing on the opposite side of elite pass-rusher Maxx Crosby by winning his one-on-one matchup when opposing offenses choose to help on Crosby’s side.

How to Bet on Raiders Games in 2023

How to Bet Raiders Moneylines

NFL moneyline wagers are the simplest forms of NFL bets. All you have to do is pick a team to win a given game, and if they do, you win your bet.

Since winning is the only requirement to cash your bet, the odds for NFL moneylines can vary greatly depending on each team’s implied probability of winning (or losing) that game. Favorites are designated by a minus symbol (-200), whereas underdogs are represented by a plus symbol (+200).

If the Raiders are a (-200) favorite against the rival Chiefs, you would have to bet $20 to turn a $10 profit. If Las Vegas was a (+200) underdog, you would profit $20 off a $10 bet.

  • 2022 Raiders Moneyline Record: 6-11

How to Bet Raiders Spreads

Betting the spread is the most efficient way to wager on NFL games, as it presents two evenly priced options. The spread, which is assigned a value by the books, is the number of points that the favorite is expected to win by against the underdog.

If the Raiders are 6-point favorites over the Commanders, the spread for that game will be set up like this: Raiders -6 (-110) vs Commanders +6 (-110).

In this scenario, the Raiders would have to win by more than six points for you to win your bet. If they were to win by a pair of field goals, your bet would push and you would recoup your initial wager.

Las Vegas was the only team in the NFL to cover the spread exactly half the time in 2021, and should be a decent bet moving forward as the roster seems to have improved over the offseason.

  • 2022 Raiders Against the Spread Record: 8-9

How to Bet Raiders Over/Unders

If you don’t want to pick a side, you can still bet on Raiders games by wagering on the total number of points scored.

Sportsbooks set the amount of combined points they expect both teams in the game to score, and then you can bet on either the Over or the Under.

If you expect Josh Jacobs, Adams, and the Raiders to light up the scoreboard, then you’ll probably want to take the Over. If you think a specific game could be more defensive, then you would bet the Under.

2022 Raiders Over/Under Record: 8-9
