Best Raiders Betting Lines 2023
The Las Vegas Raiders were one of the surprise teams in the NFL last year, reaching the playoffs via a dramatic overtime victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18.
While that was impressive enough given the off-field turmoil the Raiders faced during the season involving former head coach Jon Gruden and former wideout Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas nearly upset the eventual AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round.
In a bid to get back to the postseason again this year, the Raiders made one of the splashes of the offseason, acquiring wide receiver Davante Adams from the Green Bay Packers for a first- and second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The move reunited Adams with his college quarterback and friend Derek Carr and signaled Las Vegas’ intent to keep pace in a loaded AFC West. With Adams now in the fold, do the Raiders’ odds to win Super Bowl 57 improve? And what are Las Vegas’ best bets for 2022-2023?

Raiders Super Bowl 57 Odds
Raiders to Win Super Bowl 57 (+3000) at Caesars
On the Monday morning after Super Bowl 56, the Las Vegas Raiders had (+5000) odds to lift the Lombardi Trophy this season. That number has dropped considerably as the market has bought in on the Raiders’ offseason moves.
Not only did they trade for Adams, but they also inked pass rusher Chandler Jones to a three-year deal that adds another intimidating presence to a defensive line that also features Maxx Crosby.
Adding these significant pieces to a team that went 10-7 last year would typically make Las Vegas a Super Bowl contender. The issue, in this case, is that the Raiders are still projected to finish fourth in the loaded AFC West, which now features Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and Russell Wilson.
With the NFL’s expanded postseason, it is theoretically possible that all four teams from the division could qualify for the playoffs, but that possibility is exceedingly unlikely.
The Raiders will likely have to outperform at least one of their division rivals to reach the postseason. I know it doesn’t look likely on paper, but I actually don’t think that’s too much of a stretch.
If first-year HC Josh McDaniels can elevate Carr to an even higher level, this offense should be tough to stop in 2022. Just the presence of Adams, who combined with Carr for 233 receptions, 3,031 receiving yards, and 38 touchdowns in just two seasons (!!!) at Fresno State, per Peter Schrager, should be a major boost.
Hunter Renfrow is a dynamic and dependable slot receiver, and we know tight end Darren Waller is just about unguardable when healthy. With Adams on the outside, they could end up in lots of favorable one-on-one situations.
The major question will be the defense, especially the secondary after veteran corner Casey Hayward signed with the Atlanta Falcons. Personally, I’m a believer in new DC Patrick Graham, and that pass rush could certainly cover some of the holes in the secondary.
I liked this bet a lot more at 50-1, as it’s going to be tough for the Raiders to get out of the division, let alone the conference.
Raiders AFC Championship Odds
Raiders to Win AFC Championship (+1600) at Caesars
At Caesars Sportsbook, the Raiders have eighth-best odds to win the AFC.
They currently sit in the middle tier of the conference, behind the Ravens (+1000), Bengals (+1100), and Colts (+1300) but ahead of the Browns, Titans, and Dolphins (all +1800).
If you think the Raiders are live to win the AFC, you might as well bet them to win the Super Bowl for double the price.
Raiders AFC West Winner Odds
Raiders to Win AFC West Championship (+600) at Caesars
As we discussed above, the Raiders are projected to finish last in the AFC West behind the Chiefs (+175), Chargers (+220), and Broncos (+275).
Everything points to this division being the best in the NFL this season and for years to come with the talent all four teams have, especially at the quarterback position.
Most pundits would agree that Carr is the weakest of the four, but he’s no slouch, either. The eight-year pro threw for 4,804 yards and 23 touchdowns last season, with Renfrow as his No. 1 target.
Adding an alpha like Adams, who amassed 110+ receptions, 1,350+ yards, and 11+ scores in three separate seasons with the Packers, should make a big difference.
Las Vegas does have the best odds of any team slated to finish fourth in their respective division, but a Wild Card berth is the more likely route to the postseason for the Raiders.
Raiders Make Playoffs Odds
Raiders to Make Playoffs (+175)
It’s a tall task in this division, but I think the Raiders have a shot to make the playoffs again as a Wild Card team.
We should know a lot about this squad by Week 5, as they open up with the Chargers, Cardinals, Titans, Broncos, and Chiefs. If they can get three wins in that stretch, they’ll be in good shape to put themselves in the mix come November and December.
Raiders Win Total Bets 2023
Raiders: OVER 8.5 Wins (-130)
The Raiders are likely going to need at least nine wins to make the playoffs, especially in deeply competitive AFC. If they can replicate their 3-3 record against the division from last season, that would go a long way toward hitting the Over.
Raiders Prop Bets 2023
Davante Adams to Lead NFL in Receiving Yards (+1100)
Adams has the third-shortest odds to lead the NFL in receiving behind Super Bowl 56 MVP Cooper Kupp (+800) and Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson (+800). He sits just ahead of Bengals stud Ja’Marr Chase (+1200).
Betting on Adams’ connection with Carr to bloom, like it did in college, seems like a good bet. There’s familiarity there and a likelihood that the All-Pro wideout will see plenty of targets, especially in crunch time.
How to Bet Raiders Moneylines
If you make the decision to bet on the Raiders to win a specific game, you’re making a moneyline wager.
Since not all matchups are equal, the odds for NFL moneylines can vary based each team’s implied probability of victory or defeat. Betting favorites are identified by a minus symbol (-300), while underdogs are represented by a plus symbol (+300).
These NFL bets are very simple as you just pick a team to win, and if they do, you win your bet.

How to Bet Raiders Spreads
Instead of wagering on a team to win a game, you can also pick sides by betting against the spread. The spread is a number created by oddsmakers that represents the number of points that the favorite is expected to win by against the underdog.
If the Raiders are 3-point favorites against the Broncos, the spread for that game will look something like this: Raiders -3 (-110) vs Broncos +3 (-110).
In this scenario, Las Vegas would have to win by more than three points to cover the spread and cash your bet. If they were to win by a field goal, your bet would push. If they lose or win by two points or fewer, your bet would lose.
Last season, the Raiders won more games outright than they covered, which means they often failed to cover the spread as a favorite (1-5). That could change in 2022, however, as the Raiders will be underdogs more often (especially in their division) and should be able to put teams away with their dynamic offense.
- 2021 Raiders Against the Spread Record: 8-9
How to Bet Raiders Over/Unders
If you don’t want to pick a side in a game, you can also bet on Raiders Over/Unders.
Each week, sportsbooks will set a total for each game, representing the amount of points that they expect will be scored. This number generally is somewhere in the 40s or low to mid 50s.
I think the Raiders could be an Over team in 2022 as the new additions on offense could lead to some very high-scoring shootouts.
- 2021 Raiders Over/Under Record: 8-9
