Raiders vs Saints Predictions & Odds

Last Updated: Oct 25, 2022

The Raiders head to the Superdome this weekend as small favorites against the Saints. By record alone, both the Saints and Raiders appear to be equal. Las Vegas is 2-4 and New Orleans is 2-5.

Las Vegas is viewed as the better team, but with New Orleans only one game out of the lead for the NFC South, they arguably have more to play for.

Below, check out my Las Vegas vs New Orleans betting tips.

Raiders vs Saints Odds

Before last weekend, New Orleans was a one-point favorite against Las Vegas. Then, the Raiders beat the Texans 38-20, pushing Las Vegas to 2.5-point favorites over the Saints at Caesars.

After taking some action on the game, the line has moved slightly in the Saints’ favor to -2, where it currently sits as of Tuesday morning.

Take a look at the best Raiders odds and Saints odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Raiders vs Saints Implied Totals

Raiders 25.50, Saints 23.50

Raiders vs Saints Prediction

Raiders 30, Saints 20

One reason bookmakers are expecting a high-scoring game is the quarterback play of both Andy Dalton and Derek Carr.

Carr quietly has the seventh-best QBR in the NFL this season. Only Pat Mahomes, Josh Allen, Tua Tagovailoa, Geno Smith, Lamar Jackson, and Daniel Jones have a higher QBR. Currently, Carr has a 63.5% competition rate, and is averaging 253.3 passing yards a game.

The Saints quarterback situation is much different as we don’t know whether they will use Jameis Winston, who is back from injury, or his replacement Andy Dalton. In my opinion, the Saints are better off if Dalton starts over Winston.

Winston has a QBR of 32.7 this season, which puts him ahead of only Joe Flacco and Baker Mayfield among current starting QBs. Dalton is closer to the median starting quarterback with a QBR of 51.

Whether or not Dalton or Winston plays will affect the result, but regardless of the Saints QB, the Raiders should win by about a touchdown.

Raiders vs Saints Bet Tips

Here are some Raiders vs Saints betting trends to consider before placing your bets:

  • Las Vegas is 3-3 against the spread, despite a losing record.
  • New Orleans has a 2-5 winning record and a 2-5 record ATS.

Raiders vs Saints Best Bets

Raiders -1.5 (-107) at PointsBet Sportsbook

The Saints may have the best chance of making the playoffs, but the Raiders are clearly the better team.

The Raiders have played a tough schedule so far, and they should be better as they play easier teams like the Saints. They have narrow losses to the Titans, Chiefs, Cardinals, and Chargers, and they should have another big win against the Saints like they had against the Texans last week.

I am somewhat surprised that the Raiders are a narrow favorite, and I would bet them up to -3.

Saints: Under 23.5 Points (+100) at FanDuel Sportsbook

With uncertainty at quarterback for the Saints, they are going to have a tough time scoring three touchdowns and a field goal.

The Raiders defense hasn’t been that strong this season, but if Winston starts, they should hold the Saints to fewer than 23.5 points. If Dalton starts, the Raiders have about a 50% chance of leaving New Orleans with 23 or fewer points on Sunday.
