Week 3 features a pivotal AFC matchup between two playoff contenders in the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots.

The Ravens blew a 35-14 lead after being outscored 28-3 in the fourth quarter by the Miami Dolphins.

The Patriots bounced back from a disappointing Week 1 loss with a 17-14 win on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Let’s dive in to find out the Baltimore vs New England best bets.

Ravens vs Patriots Odds

Baltimore comes in as three-point road favorites, which is expected because they’re the better team. There’s some good value here because it hasn’t crossed that key number of three. The game total sits at 44 points, as New England does have a stout defense.

Take a look at the best Ravens odds and Patriots odds for the 2022 NFL season.

Ravens vs Patriots Implied Totals

Ravens 23.5, Patriots 20.5

Bookmakers project a better defensive showing from Baltimore in this one, squeaking out a close win on the road.

Ravens vs Patriots Prediction

Ravens 24, Patriots 17

Baltimore was embarrassed in that blown loss to the Dolphins. They take on a Patriots team that has really struggled to put points on the board with only 24 in two games. That’s just what the doctor ordered for the Ravens’ defense.

New England will have their hands full with Lamar Jackson, who looks like a man on a mission this year, playing for a new contract. Jackson threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns while adding 119 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Baltimore also has a breakout at wideout in Rashod Bateman. The second-year receiver has combined for 167 yards on six catches this season. Bateman has touchdowns of 55 and 75 yards, making a major impact downfield.

The Patriots don’t have enough offensive firepower to keep up with the Ravens here. They’ll need to establish their running game with Rhamondre Stevenson and Damien Harris to help win ugly once again here.

Ravens vs Patriots Bet Tips

Here are a few Ravens vs Patriots betting implications to consider:

  • Patriots’ games have combined for 31 and 27 points, easily staying Under the number.
  • New England allowed a 42-yard touchdown to Jaylen Waddle in Week 1, and they could have challenges with Bateman.
  • Baltimore has held each opposing running game to fewer than 100 rushing yards in both games this year.

Ravens vs Patriots Best Bets

Ravens -3 (-110) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

I expect the Ravens’ defense to bounce back after that abysmal fourth quarter against Miami. New England has struggled to score this year, so we should see a better performance from Baltimore here.

We’re getting the better team at a reasonable number here. You have to love that we have it at three instead of 3.5 points.

Under 44 Total Points (-110) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

I’ll roll with the trend here of Patriots games going Under. This is an old-school type of offense that prefers to run the ball and limit turnovers. I have to believe that Baltimore will play better on defense this time around.
