Giants vs Cowboys Predictions & Best Bets

Last Updated: Nov 9, 2023

The New York Giants will continue to look for a semblance of positivity in their 2023 campaign with a Week 10 trip to Dallas to face the Cowboys.

A predictably massive spread separates the two NFL East foes heading in different directions.

While this contest won’t be the most intriguing game among the Week 10 NFL best bets, there’s still betting value to be had at AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Giants vs Cowboys Odds

NFL odds used for this New York vs Dallas preview were found at DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of November 8 at 8 p.m. ET.

  • Moneyline: Cowboys (-1200) • Giants (+750)
  • Spread: Cowboys -16.5 (-110) • Giants +16.5 (-110)
  • Total Points: Over 38.5 (-110) • Under 38.5 (-110)
  • Implied Score: Cowboys 27.25, Giants 11.25

Giants vs Cowboys Predictions

Score Pick: Cowboys 30, Giants 13

The Giants have received confirmation that their newly-signed quarterback Daniel Jones tore his ACL over the weekend.

Head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday afternoon that the Giants will roll out rookie Tommy DeVito at quarterback once again this week despite his struggles in two relief appearances thus far.

If we consider Devito’s ineptitude (I mean inexperience), the lack of passing options for New York, and the dangerous pass rush from Dallas, we can project 30-plus touches for an unfortunate Saquon Barkley.

When the Cowboys get the ball, they’ll try to keep their offense humming, as Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and rookie tight end Jake Ferguson are coming off back-to-back great performances the past two weeks.

Tony Pollard is the last cog of the machine that Dallas will want to get moving on Sunday, and the Giants’ dead-last DVOA ranking looks like it could be a cure for the talented running back’s touchdown drought.

We can safely project at least two turnovers for the Giants’ offense, but perhaps edge rusher and lone bright spot Kayvon Thibodeaux can get New York its own good field position once or twice.

The Cowboys’ offense should come out firing, and New York will lean on Barkley early and often. We might expect something like 17-3 at halftime in favor of the home team. Then perhaps a third-quarter Barkley touchdown might make it a one-score game.

But Dallas should be able to pull away late with a sack-fumble or interception and a late field goal to salt it for good.

Giants vs Cowboys Best Bets & Props

Cowboys -8.5 1H (-120)

FanDuel Sportsbook • WAGER: 2 units

We head to FanDuel despite a little juice in favor of the Cowboys for the NFL bet of the day, but I’m happy to play the home team up to -9.5 in the first half.

After losing a half-time lead in Philly last Sunday, the Cowboys will be eager to get back to work, using an early dose of Pollard in space with the occasional chunk play through the air.

The Giants’ only answer comes in the form of Thibodeaux, but Prescott should be instructed to get passes out quickly and on script.

Meanwhile, the Giants are lacking an identity with DeVito at the helm, and the Cowboys know exactly who they need to stop to avoid any early upset bids.

If Dallas can keep Barkley from breaking a big one, it should hold New York to just a field goal or two in the first half.

Over 38.5 (-110)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

The Cowboys should have no problem putting up their end of the bargain here. With their newfound passing success, a great get-right spot for Pollard, and the ability to turn over a bad quarterback, 24 points seems like the absolute floor for Dallas.

I trust that Barkley will find some space with Andrew Thomas back from injury, and DeVito’s legs could lead to a third-down conversion or two.

I’ll gladly take my chances on the Over in a game that should feature at least two turnovers.

Field Goals Over 3.5 (+110)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

While there should be some offensive fireworks in this one, we also have two offenses that have gone through their fair share of sputtering.

One sack from these dangerous pass rushers inside the red zone can lead to a quick field goal rather than six points. Dallas should lead this one in the second half, which could result in a conservative play call or two down the stretch.

I’ll bank on at least four field goals indoors on Sunday afternoon.

Giants vs Cowboys Same-Game Parlay

Giants vs Cowboys SGP (+167)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit

  • Cowboys -9.5 (-280)
  • Over 37.5 (-122)
  • Cowboys 1H Over 13.5 (-130)

With a massive talent advantage in all three phases of the game, the easiest part of this parlay should be Dallas to win by double digits.

The humming Cowboys offense and the likelihood of turnovers sets this up to eclipse 38 points, and Dallas should start that early by coming out with a great offensive game plan.

These three plays combined seem like a great combo that will also keep you from getting upset when DeVito inevitably throws an interception just when it looks like he might be figuring it out.

Let’s bring it home!
