The Dallas Cowboys host a game each Thanksgiving Day as part of the NFL’s trio of games on this gluttonous holiday. The middle leg of this Thursday’s group will see AT&T Stadium showcase a critical NFC East battle as the visiting New York Giants come to town.

These clubs sit at 7-3 and tied for second place in what’s objectively been the NFL’s best division. All four teams resides on the right side of .500.

Dallas won 23-16 in the first of two meetings with the Giants in Week 3, with Cooper Rush under center replacing the injured Dak Prescott. Now, the Cowboys are riding high off a 40-3 shocker victory over the Minnesota Vikings, while the Giants dropped a deflater to the Detroit Lions 31-18.

What are the best ways to bet this pivotal clash for the NFC playoff picture? Read on for our early look at the top New York vs Dallas best bets and predictions.

Giants vs Cowboys Odds

As of Monday, these NFL Thanksgiving odds have swung as many as 2 points toward the Cowboys at some operators, thanks to these clubs’ divergent Week 11 results. Caesars places this at Cowboys -9 (-110) with a 44.5 Over/Under.

Dallas reminded the NFL world that they can rank among the elite on both sides of the ball while thumping the Vikings, and they face another talented but erratic QB on Turkey Day in New York’s Daniel Jones.

The Giants are one of the best-performing NFL teams against the spread this year, but having already lost safety Xavier McKinney (hand) for a few weeks, they were dealt significant injuries to two more key pieces Sunday: Wan’Dale Robinson (out for year, ACL) and CB Adoree’ Jackson (out, MCL sprain).

It’s a short week, which is horrific timing for Brian Daboll‘s squad following those dings to important players.

Giants vs Cowboys Implied Totals

Cowboys 26.75, Giants 17.75

Caesars’ Cowboys -9 and 44.5 O/U produce a lopsided implied score. I like the Over/Under more than the spread, but I’m trying an alternate total as the headliner for my Thanksgiving best bets.

Giants vs Cowboys Prediction

Cowboys 31, Giants 17

Daniel Jones garbage time is the key here, folks.

Dallas will dominate early, with RBs Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott, who each score two touchdowns in Week 11, dictating the pace.

Meanwhile, the Giants, who have a chance to get breakout TE Daniel Bellinger (eye) back from the sidelines, should do enough to push for a backdoor cover on our alternate Over/Under.

Giants vs Cowboys Bet Tips

Though these are only a piece of the NFL betting puzzle, here are a few Giants vs Cowboys betting trends, through 10 weeks, to consider before making your Thanksgiving NFL bets:

  • The Cowboys have lost three straight Thanksgiving games, including an 0-2 record under McCarthy.
  • These clubs mirror their straight-up records against the spread, both sitting at 7-3 — tied for the NFL’s second-best mark. (Data per TeamRankings.com.)
  • Dallas is 4-1 against the spread at home, tied for first with Philly. The Giants rank in the top 10 ATS on the road at 2-1.
  • These NFC East rivals are middling-to-bad with total betting: Dallas is 4-6, and the Giants near the NFL basement at 3-7.

Giants vs Cowboys Best Bets

Over 46.5 Pts alternate total (+106) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

As noted above, the Giants’ garbage-time points and these two weak run defenses should help New York keep its end of the bargain.

Barkley piled up 126 scrimmage yards and a TD in the Week 3 meeting. The resurgent Penn State carrier should allow the Giants to at least remain in the running to give Jones time to navigate a prevent defense late.

Giants vs Cowboys Props

Cowboys: Over 27.5 Pts (+105) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 units

The Giants’ key defensive injuries should allow the Cowboys to build on their road rage on the scoreboard at Minnesota.

Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore seems to have a found a playcalling and scheme rhythm for WR CeeDee Lamb and TE Dalton Schultz as the featured pass-catchers, which makes dealing with Pollard and Elliott even more difficult for even full-strength defenses.

Giants 2H Moneyline (+230) at Caesars Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 units

With the garbage-time mindset, this prop that says the Giants will outscore Dallas after halftime makes for a perfect complementary fit to my NFL bet of the day.
