Hurricanes vs Golden Knights Predictions: What to Expect in SCF Game 4

Last Updated: Jun 9, 2026

Just when you think this series couldn’t get anymore dramatic, the 2026 Stanley Cup Final continues to deliver.

After the Hurricanes rallied from a two-goal to win Game 2 in overtime, Carolina nearly pulled off the impossible in Game 3, forcing extra time again after trailing 4-0 in the third period. However, the Golden Knights got the last laugh this time, as Shea Theodore scored the game-winner in double overtime to give Vegas a 5-4 win and a 2-1 series lead.

What does this series have in store for us in Game 4?

Let’s discuss the possibilities by diving into my Hurricanes vs Golden Knights best bets.

Score Prediction: Golden Knights 4, Hurricanes 2

The biggest question heading into Game 4 is who will be between the pipes for Carolina on Tuesday night?

Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen was pulled after the second period of Saturday’s Game 3 defeat after allowing four goals on 16 shots. The veteran netminder has now allowed 12 goals in the Stanley Cup Final after conceding 20 goals in his previous 13 playoff games.

Brandon Bussi was sharp in his stead, saving 18 of the 19 shots he faced in just over 45 minutes of action. He could be in line to start on Tuesday, as Andersen didn’t practice on Monday. However, Canes head coach Rod Brind’Amour is keeping his cards close to his chest.

Regardless, I’m not sure that it matters. Vegas has been able to attack Carolina’s typically brilliant defense in ways that Montreal, Philadelphia, and Ottawa weren’t able to in previous rounds. Look for the Golden Knights to keep the offense rolling on home ice.

Hurricanes vs Golden Knights Game 4 Best Bets

Hurricanes @ Golden Knights: Over 5.5 Goals (-130)

I’m a bit surprised that the total has held steady at 5.5 goals given how this series has played out thus far.

Games 1-3 have gone over the total with relative ease, as both teams have scored at least three goals in each contest.

Carolina came into this series as one of the league’s top defensive teams, but the fact it could now be making a goalie switch tells you everything you need to know about how well that reputation has held up against Vegas.

I’m willing to pay the juice at -130 odds to back the run on overs continuing as my NHL pick of the day.

Golden Knights ML (-105) vs Hurricanes

Carolina is a slight favorite in this contest, but I’m a bit worried about how much energy it has had to expound to come back the last two games.

Plus, we don’t know if Brind’Amour is going to trot Andersen back out after another poor performance, or if he’ll trust the 27-year-old rookie in what would be the biggest game of his career.

Meanwhile, the Golden Knights have won six of their last seven games at T-Mobile Arena dating back to Round 1, and Mitch Marner (three goals, four assists in this series) is playing like a man on a mission.

With that in mind, I’ll back Vegas to ride the momentum from Game 3 and defend home ice on Tuesday night.
