The Stanley Cup will be in the building on Sunday night when the Carolina Hurricanes visit the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. Puck drop for Game 6 is scheduled for shortly after 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
Carolina took a 3-2 lead in the Stanley Cup Final on Thursday with a 4-2 home victory, powered by a pair of power-play goals from Andrei Svechnikov and some stellar goaltending from rookie Brandon Bussi (23 saves).
Will the Canes capture their first Stanley Cup since 2006 on the road Sunday night? Or will Vegas respond and force a decisive Game 7?
To prepare for this pivotal matchup, I’ll assess the latest odds for this contest before diving into my Hurricanes vs Golden Knights best bets for Game 6.

Hurricanes vs Golden Knights Game 6 Predictions
Score Prediction: Golden Knights 4, Hurricanes 3
The 2026 Stanley Cup Final deserves to be decided by a Game 7, and I think we’re heading in that direction.
Carolina and Vegas have played a wildly entertaining back-and-forth series, which has kept the best NHL prognosticators guessing. No one seems to know what will happen next.
And while the Hurricanes have finally taken control of this series with back-to-back wins, it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Golden Knights flip the script once again.
Hurricanes vs Golden Knights Game 6 Best Bets
Golden Knights ML (-105) vs Hurricanes
If John Tortorella’s squad wants to keep this series going, it needs to stay out of the penalty box.
The Hurricanes converted two of five power-play opportunities in Game 6, which covered up a relatively poor performance at even strength. Carolina created 1.24 expected goals to Vegas’ 3.22 when the teams played 5-on-5, per MoneyPuck.
The Golden Knights have only topped that mark once in the series, doing so in a 5-4 double-overtime victory back in Game 3 (3.35).
If they can create similar scoring opportunities in Game 6, I like their chances of putting a few more pucks past Bussi, especially since they’ve seen him now for a game and a half.
At favorable odds, I’ll back the hosts to force a Game 7 as my NHL pick of the day.
Hurricanes @ Golden Knights: Over 5.5 Goals (-130)
Game 5 produced the first under of the Stanley Cup Final. However, it only hit because the total rose to 6.5 goals, and Carolina failed to score an empty-net goal with Carter Hart pulled for more than two minutes.
Now, with the total back down to 5.5 goals, I’m inclined to take the over.

Hart has struggled in this series, allowing four goals in all five games, so Vegas’ offense will likely need to give him some support if the Golden Knights win, as I expect.
Every game in this series has featured at least six goals, so I’ll back that trend to continue on Sunday night.
