The San Francisco 49ers will look to continue their impressive playoff run with a victory over the division-rival Los Angeles Rams and a trip to the Super Bowl.

The Niners will need to rely on George Kittle both as a receiver and blocker, especially against this imposing Rams’ pass-rush.

Let’s take a look to see which player props stand out for Kittle against the Rams this week.

All NFL gameday odds are current as of 11:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, January 26.

George Kittle NFC Championship Prop Bets

George Kittle caught 10-of-14 targets for 60 yards in two games against the Rams this season. He ran 27 routes in the Week 18 matchup and only 15 routes in their Week 10 meeting.

That’s because Kittle is often used as a blocker, ranking 13th among tight ends with 500 or more snaps with a 13.2% blocking rate. There’s a good chance that Kittle will be utilized as a blocker often against the Rams in the NFC Championship game.

Los Angeles has always had a strong pass-rush with Aaron Donald and Leonard Floyd, but it has reached new heights in recent weeks. That’s because Von Miller, who was acquired at the trade deadline, has found his groove.

It took some time for Miller to make an impact as he acclimated to a new defense, but he’s now racked up seven sacks in his last six games. Miller, Donald, and Floyd caused a ton of problems for Tom Brady in the Divisional Round, helping the Rams slow down one of the best passing games in football.

The 49ers need to make sure that they protect Jimmy Garoppolo if they’re to win this game. Garoppolo can be prone to mistakes at times, so they have to keep a clean pocket to avoid any ill-advised turnovers.

That means Kittle could be kept in as a blocker at a higher rate in this game.

Roll with the Under in this spot.
