NFL Most Valuable Player Predictions & Futures Odds 2021 | Football MVP Betting Lines

Last Updated: Nov 19, 2021

It’s been an odd year for the MVP race, to say the least. Through 10 weeks, there isn’t a clear-cut favorite and the top name in terms of odds seems to shift every week. While that makes it a little tougher to pick the eventual winner, it does give bettors better value across the board.

To help guide you in the NFL MVP predictions series, here are our 2021-22 NFL MVP predictions and betting tips.

NFL Most Valuable Player Futures Odds

As you would expect, all of the top players in terms of odds for the MVP race are quarterbacks. The non-quarterback with the best odds to win MVP is Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (+10000), but he’s behind 11 quarterbacks and tied with another.

So who are the 12 quarterbacks with the best odds and who is the best value bet on the board? Here are the current odds and our favorite bets, courtesy of TwinSpires as of Thursday, November 18:

  • Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (+250)
  • Tampa Buccaneers QB Tom Brady (+400)
  • Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (+600)
  • Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (+800)
  • Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford (+800)
  • Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (+1000)
  • Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (+1400)
  • Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (+2000)
  • Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert (+2500)
  • Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (+3300)
  • Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow (+8000)
  • Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr (+10000)

Best NFL Most Valuable Player Bets

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady (+400)

Only Josh Allen has better NFL gameday odds than Tom Brady and it’s not hard to see why. Despite back-to-back losses, Brady is still having a fantastic season. In nine games, he’s already thrown for 2,870 yards and scored an NFL-best 28 touchdowns, putting him on pace for 51 touchdowns this season and well over 5,000 yards.

With a very easy schedule coming up and multiple primetime games remaining, Brady should still be considered one of the favorites to take home the award for the fourth time in his career.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (+1400)

Yes, the Ravens are coming off an ugly loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10 and no, Lamar Jackson did not play well. However, don’t let that distract you from just how good of a season Jackson has had so far, as he is on pace to throw for 4,500 yards and run for over 1,200 yards.

No quarterback in NFL history has ever even thrown for 3,500 yards and rushed for another 1,000 in the same season, but Jackson should be the first if he stays healthy. With Baltimore falling apart everywhere around Jackson due to injuries, the 2019 NFL MVP has managed to keep them afloat and in first place in the AFC North.

In terms of actual value, no player in the NFL means more to their team than Jackson does to the Ravens.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (+2000)

Has Patrick Mahomes struggled at times this season? The answer is yes. The Chiefs are just 6-4 and Mahomes has been uncharacteristically sloppy with 10 interceptions and five fumbles.

However, he’s still on pace to put up fantastic numbers in 2021. Mahomes leads the NFL in completions and pass attempts and is on pace for over 5,000 passing yards and 40+ touchdowns.

If Kansas City can continue its recent surge and regain its status as one of the top teams in the AFC, Mahomes will be in the conversation for his second MVP award.

NFL Most Valuable Player Award Predictions 2021

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (+600)

Dak Prescott has a few things going for him right now that make him a very attractive MVP pick. For starters, the Dallas Cowboys currently have the No. 1 ranked scoring offense and are No. 1 in yards. It’s the best offense in the league and should only get better with Tyron Smith and Michael Gallup returning to the lineup.

Another reason why Prescott is a good bet is that the Cowboys have a number of nationally televised games coming up over the next month. If he performs well in front of a big audience, those games can stick in the mind of voters.

It also doesn’t hurt that Dallas looks like Super Bowl contenders thus far at 7-2.

Prescott is on pace to throw for 40 touchdowns and nearly 4,700 yards while leading the best offense in football. If he can continue to post big numbers like this and the Cowboys keep winning, he’ll likely be named the 2021-2022 NFL MVP, making him our NFL bet of the day.
