The NBA is serving up nine games for the final Friday of the regular season. Teams resting players has made wagering riskier than usual, but even with that in mind, here are three of the best NBA player props today to consider.
Mike Barner’s season record: 95-105 (-27.21 units)
All NBA gameday odds are current as of Friday, April 8, at 11 a.m. ET from Caesars Sportsbook.
NBA Props 4/8/22: Charlotte Hornets @ Chicago Bulls
LaMelo Ball: OVER 28.5 Points + Assists (-115) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
The Bulls are crumbling down the stretch. Scoring hasn’t generally been a problem for them, but they have had plenty of problems slowing down the opposition.
They have allowed an average of 116.7 points over their last nine games, dropping them into the bottom 10 in the league in defensive rating.
Look for Ball to exploit the Bulls’ defensive deficiencies. He’s already recorded at least 29 combined points and assists in six of his last eight games.
The two previous times that he’s faced the Bulls this season, he posted 31 and 38 combined points and assists, respectively. Bank on him hitting the Over here for our NBA bet of the day.

NBA Props 4/8/22: Houston Rockets @ Toronto Raptors
Jalen Green: OVER 24.5 Points (-105) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
This is the second game of a back-to-back set for the Raptors, who just beat the 76ers on Thursday.
Given that they have already locked up a playoff spot and will be facing a Rockets team that is one of the worst in the league, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them rest some of their starters.

If the Raptors rest a starter or two, that could further help Green, who has been on a hot streak as the regular season comes to a close.
He’s averaged 30.2 points over the last six games, scoring at least 25 points in each contest. He attempted a whopping 21.8 shot attempts per game during that stretch, including 12.0 per game from behind the arc.
Green’s massive usage rate makes the Over for his points prop appealing.

Kevin Porter Jr.: OVER 19.5 Points (-120) at Caesars
Wager: 1 Unit
One of the reasons why Green has been so successful is that the Rockets decided to bench some of their veterans. Christian Wood, Dennis Schroder, and Eric Gordon have sat out five straight games, and won’t take the floor again this season.
With the Rockets shorthanded, Porter has also stepped into a larger role, averaging 28.0 points and 20.6 shot attempts over the last five games.
He scored at least 21 points in all five of those games, and scored at least 30 points two times. Like Green, his increased usage rate leaves him with a favorable opportunity to reach the Over.
