Spurs vs Knicks Predictions: New York Slight Favorites in NBA Finals Game 3

Last Updated: 4 hours ago

After winning Games 1 and 2 in San Antonio, the New York Knicks will look to move within touching distance of their first NBA title since 1973 when they welcome the Spurs to what should be a raucous Madison Square Garden on Monday night. Tip-off at the World’s Most Famous Arena is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Jalen Brunson and the Knicks capitalized on a costly Victor Wembanyama turnover in the final seconds of Game 2 to earn their 13th consecutive playoff victory. New York now owns the second-longest winning streak in NBA postseason history, falling just behind the 2017 Golden State Warriors (15 straight).

Can the Knicks keep this magical run going in front of their home crowd on Monday night? Or will Wembanyama and the Spurs narrow the deficit and make this a series?

As we prepare for this pivotal matchup, let’s dive into the latest NBA odds and my Spurs vs Knicks predictions for Game 3.

  • Over/Under: Over 215.5 (-115) / Under 215.5 (-105)

Spurs vs Knicks Game 3 Predictions

Score Prediction: Knicks 108, Spurs 103

It’s difficult to predict what Game 3 of the 2026 NBA Finals will have in store for us on Monday night.

On the one hand, the Knicks feel like a team of destiny right now. They’ve won 13 consecutive games. That includes two victories in San Antonio, where Jalen Brunson played at a self-described sub-par level. New York’s biggest star has made 19-of-56 field goal attempts (33.9%) in the NBA Finals after shooting above 46% from the field in each of the first three playoff rounds.

On the other hand, you’d expect to get San Antonio’s best effort here, as Victor Wembanyama and Co. know they can’t fall into an 0-3 hole. That said, the youth and inexperience of Mitch Johnson’s team have been exposed in this series thus far. Can the Spurs be trusted to handle the pressure of the bright lights at Madison Square Garden? I’m not so sure.

Every time opponents have found themselves in a desperate situation against the Knicks this postseason, New York has always had the answer. I trust Mike Brown’s team to get the job once again on Monday night.

Spurs vs Knicks Game 3 Best Bets

Knicks ML (-125) vs Spurs

I realize the Spurs came into the NBA Finals as the favorites, but this line feels pretty disrespectful to the Knicks, who have been by far the most impressive team in the NBA playoffs.

San Antonio hasn’t matched up well with New York, as the size of Mitchell Robinson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and OG Anunoby can keep Wembanyama from getting easy touches in the paint. The Knicks have won four of five matchups between these teams this season, including the NBA Cup championship game in December.

While there’s a chance the manic atmosphere at Madison Square Garden and the pressure of an impending championship win could overwhelm the hosts, I think New York is too locked in to pass up this opportunity.

Mike Brown’s team is getting way more out of its bench than San Antonio, and that advantage should be accentuated at home.

With that in mind, I’m backing the Knicks to win their 14th consecutive postseason game as one of my NBA best bets today.

Knicks @ Spurs: Under 215.5 Points (-105)

The first two games of this series have gone under the total, finishing with 200 and 209 points, respectively.

I don’t expect that to change now that the series is shifting to Madison Square Garden, especially with the pressure on both sides to win this pivotal matchup.

We’ve already discussed how the Knicks’ interior size has troubled Wembanyama, but the Spurs’ big guards have also made life difficult for Brunson on the perimeter.

Since both stars have been inefficient scorers so far this series, I’d expect to see another close, lower-scoring contest in Game 3.
