2026 PGA Championship Predictions: 4 Picks for Aronimink

Last Updated: 18 hours ago

Golf’s second major championship of the year is upon us.

The 2026 PGA Championship will take place this week at Aronimink Golf Club, located just outside of Philadelphia, with 156 golfers set to compete for the Wanamaker Trophy.

Scottie Scheffler enters the week as the defending champion. The World No. 1 cleared last year’s field at Quail Hollow Golf Club by five shots to win his third major title.

To prepare for an exciting week of golf, I’ll dig into the odds board and make my 2026 PGA Championship predictions.

2026 PGA Championship Winner Predictions

Cameron Young (+1475)

WAGER: 1 Unit

I’m going back to the well with Cameron Young after backing him to win the Masters last month.

The 29-year-old is in the best form of his life right now, having finished inside the top 10 in six of his last seven starts. That run includes wins at TPC Sawgrass and Doral, and T-3 finishes at Bay Hill and Augusta National.

Young shared the lead with Rory McIlroy heading into Sunday at the Masters, a potentially valuable experience should he be in contention again this weekend.

Given his stellar form, I’m backing Young to win his first major with one of my best golf betting picks today.

Collin Morikawa (+4000)

WAGER: 0.75 Units

If not for a back injury that caused him to miss the Players Championship in March, Morikawa would not be priced at 40-1 odds.

The 29-year-old is a two-time major champion with seven PGA Tour wins, including one in February at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

While Morikawa has admitted that he still doesn’t fully trust his back, that hasn’t stopped him from playing some stellar golf.

He has five top-10 finishes this season, two of which have come since his return from the back injury. Among those was a gutsy T-7 at the Masters, where he shot three rounds in the 60s after a slow start on Thursday.

Given the injury concerns, I’d prefer to target Morikawa as an outright bet and hope we see a healthy, peak performance this week.

2026 PGA Championship Best Bets

72-Hole Matchup: Alex Smalley (-122) vs Michael Thorbjornsen

WAGER: 1.22 Units

Of the two players in this PGA Championship tournament matchup, Smalley is in better form at the moment.

The 29-year-old has finished in a tie for 21st or better in each of his last five starts after producing just one such result in his first eight events of the season.

On the other hand, Thorbjornsen enjoyed a better start to the season, posting a T-3 finish in Phoenix in early February. However, he hasn’t finished inside the top 10 since.

Smalley (T-28) beat Thorbjornsen (T-41) at last year’s PGA Championship, and I like his chances to repeat that feat this week in Philadelphia.

Top-10 Finish: Sam Burns (+430)

WAGER: 1 Unit

A five-time winner on the PGA Tour, Sam Burns is starting to find his footing in major championships.

The 29-year-old has come inside the top 10 in two of his past three major starts, posting T-7 finishes at the 2026 Masters and 2025 U.S. Open.

Burns is a prolific putter, who can get scorching hot with the flatstick, and is also a terrific driver of the golf ball.

If he can pair those talents with a decent wedge game this week, he’ll be in contention again come Sunday.
