2021 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Week 11: Top Pickups
Cameron Johnson, SF/PF, Phoenix Suns (47% Rostered)
Cameron Johnson has developed into an elite three-point shooter, which is unsurprising given his historic numbers in college. For fantasy’s sake, he has quite the double-digit point streak going and that bodes well for his value moving forward.
Since this streak began on November 30, Johnson is averaging 14.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1 steal, and 3.2 threes per game while shooting 49% from the field and 83% from the stripe.
Johnson is a priority pickup with fellow Suns wing Jae Crowder hitting the COVID list.
- Cameron Johnson Waiver Wire FAAB Bid: 10-15%

Luke Kennard, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers (44% Rostered)
Luke Kennard has returned from a one-game absence and is now set for an even more expanded role going forward. Paul George (elbow) is out for the foreseeable future, and the usage opened up is massive. Kennard may now be in line for a career year.
Obviously, the full usage from PG’s absence will not trickle down solely to Kennard, as Terance Mann, Nicolas Batum, and Marcus Morris Sr. should also benefit. However, Kennard’s scoring role is easiest to expand.
There is also a possibility that veteran pieces like Eric Bledsoe or Reggie Jackson are moved at the deadline, further solidifying Kennard as a key fantasy piece for the rest of the season.
- Luke Kennard Waiver Wire FAAB Bid: 10-12%
2021 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Week 11: Best Players To Stash
Nicolas Batum, SG/SF, Los Angeles Clippers (28% Rostered)
Nicolas Batum is another beneficiary of Paul George’s injury. While he has been quite mediocre for fantasy of late, that can be correlated to his ankle injury and slow return. On Sunday, he managed to play 30 minutes for the first time since November 19.
Prior to the injury, Batum had been averaging 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 threes, 1.5 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 52% from the field and 44% from deep. The shooting percentages may dip in George’s absence, though the counting stats should tick up.
All in all, Batum is a worthwhile addition who could blossom soon.
- Nicolas Batum Waiver Wire FAAB Bid: 2-5%
Herb Jones, SF/PF, New Orleans Pelicans (19% Rostered)
Herb Jones is a revelation for New Orleans. This rookie second-round pick’s name might not be well-known, but his game is loud, particularly on the defensive end.
Jones is an impact player who can do a little bit of everything and has been playing starter-level minutes (whether he’s actually started or not) since the second game of the season.
Jones’ biggest concern for fantasy relevance is scoring, but that’s changed a tad over the past few weeks. Since November 29, he is averaging 9.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.3 blocks. Not exactly world-beater numbers, though that stock combo is worth rostering alone.
- Herb Jones Waiver Wire FAAB Bid: 1-2%
2021 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Week 11: One-Week Streamer Plays
Omer Yurtseven, C, Miami Heat (37% Rostered)
Omer Yurtseven is the last person anyone expected to roster in 2021, but with Bam Adebayo, P.J. Tucker, and Dewayne Dedmon all out due to injury, he is the next big man up in Miami.
Yurtseven’s production speaks for itself. He has recorded at least 12 rebounds in each of the past five games, and he’s logged a total of four blocks and three steals as well. He does not score much but put up 16 against the Magic in his most recent game.
Miami has four games on the schedule this week, and the other bigs still out. Yurtseven is a worthwhile stream.
- Omer Yurtseven Waiver Wire FAAB Bid: 1-5%
Jalen McDaniels, SF/PF/C, Charlotte Hornets (13% Rostered)
With P.J. Washington and breakout star Miles Bridges in COVID protocols, Jalen McDaniels serves as the logical successor to their roles. He has already been productive since his return from COVID and now gets the benefit of usurping teammates that clog up minutes/usage.
On the whole, McDaniels’ year is mediocre and looks similar to his first two seasons. However, since his return, he is averaging 11.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 three, o.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks while shooting 52% from the field and 60% from the stripe.
His poor form at the free-throw line will certainly hurt as he plays more, though it’s a small price to pay for the all-around production this week.
- Jalen McDaniels Waiver Wire FAAB Bid: 1-5%
