My first foray into NHL goalscorer props was a massive success, as two of my three picks came through, including a Kirill Kaprizov first goalscorer wager at +750 odds.
Replicating those wins on Thursday’s NHL slate won’t be easy, but at least there are nine games to choose from.
Without any further ado, let’s dive into my best NHL goalscorer bets today.
NHL Goalscorer Predictions Today
All hockey odds used for these NHL goalscorer predictions today are current as of Thursday, Nov. 6, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
David Pastrnak: Anytime Goalscorer (+115) vs Senators
Pastrnak has scored 40 or more goals in five of the last six seasons, so he’s no stranger to putting the puck in the back of the net.
The Boston Bruins winger has seven goals in 15 games this campaign and has a good chance to improve on that mark tonight against an Ottawa Senators squad allowing 3.92 goals per game (31st in the NHL).
Pastrnak has scored in three of his last five games at TD Garden, and I think he gets his first goal of November tonight.

Tage Thompson: First Goalscorer (+800) vs Blues
After netting 44 goals last season, Thompson has gotten off to a slow start this year, with five goals in 13 contests.
That’s not for a lack of effort, though, as the Buffalo Sabres’ star has recorded 50 shots on goal, including seven games with five or more efforts on net.
NHL first goalscorer stats are difficult to come by, but a look through his box scores shows that Thompson opened the scoring against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 25 in his lone two-goal outing of the campaign.
I like his chances to replicate that feat tonight at home against a St. Louis Blues defense that surrenders the most goals in the NHL (4.14 per game) and is playing on the second night of a back-to-back.
Jason Roberston: Anytime Goalscorer (+130) vs Ducks
For my other NHL anytime goalscorer prop, I’m targeting Dallas Stars winger Jason Robertson.
The 26-year-old is an example of a player who is due for positive regression. Robertson is goalless in his last six games and has just three tallies on the year despite leading the Stars in shots on goal (56).
His shooting percentage currently stands at 5.4%, representing a substantial drop-off from his career average of 14.7%.
Robertson’s luck will turn at some point, so I also wouldn’t mind taking a flier on his 2+ goal prop at +900 odds.
