My NHL goalscorer predictions missed the mark on Tuesday, as all three of my selections failed to find the back of the net.
I’ll try to get back on track for Thursday’s eight-game slate.
Let’s dig into my best NHL goalscorer bets today.
NHL Goalscorer Predictions Today
All hockey odds used for these NHL goalscorer predictions today are current as of Thursday, Jan. 22, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Filip Forsberg: Anytime Goalscorer (+180) vs Senators
Forsberg is on a heater right now, having scored in each of Nashville’s last three games.
The 31-year-old, who had gone 11 games without a goal before ending that drought against the Colorado Avalanche last Friday, has been firing pucks on net, recording 16 shots in his last three contests.
On Thursday, Forsberg and the Predators will host an Ottawa Senators team that allows the second-most goals per game on the road (3.72) in the NHL.
Forsberg has scored 13 of his 19 goals this season at Bridgestone Arena, and the Sens have conceded 20 goals in their past five road games, so I’m backing the Swede to continue his scoring streak as my NHL pick of the day.
Kyle Connor: First Goalscorer (+1000) vs Panthers
NHL first goalscorer stats point toward the Winnipeg Jets taking the lead against the Florida Panthers tonight at Canada Life Centre.
Winnipeg has scored first in an NHL-best 17 of 25 home games this season (68%), while the Panthers have taken the lead in just 9 of 21 road contests (42.8%).
Connor has accounted for some of Winnipeg’s early-game success, opening the scoring on three different occasions this season, including twice this month in home contests against the Oilers and Islanders.
The Michigan native leads the Jets in shots (160) by a healthy margin and ranks second in goals (23), making him a strong candidate to score the first goal of Thursday night’s interconference matchup.

Connor McDavid: Anytime Goalscorer (+110) vs Penguins
For my other NHL anytime goalscorer prop, I’m going back to the well with Connor McDavid.
The Edmonton star has failed to score in six consecutive contests, matching his longest goal drought of the season, despite recording at least four shots on goal in three of his previous four outings.

The Oilers rank fourth in the NHL in goals per game at home (3.61), and McDavid scored twice in a 6-4 victory over the Penguins in Pittsburgh on Dec. 16.
I expect him to get back on the scoresheet tonight.
