Week 3 was another strong week for my predictions, as the New Orleans Saints covered the spread and beat the New England Patriots outright. We narrowly missed out on cashing our same game parlay, however, with the total going over by three points.

Let’s keep the good times rolling here in Week 4. This week, we’re going to break down a clash of division rivals between the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams.

Both teams have won their first three games and are coming off impressive Week 3 wins. The Cardinals dominated the Jacksonville Jaguars, while the Rams took down Tom Brady and the reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This is a huge game between two undefeated teams in the NFC West, which looks like the toughest division in football. Let’s dive in to find out which team should come out on top in our NFL pick of the day series.

Please note that all Cardinals vs Rams odds and lines are current as of Friday, October 1.

Cardinals vs Rams Prediction

Both of these offenses have been among the best in the NFL so far, with both ranking in the top three in scoring. Quarterbacks Kyler Murray and Matthew Stafford are at the top of their games and look like early MVP frontrunners.

Both teams have played good defense as well, ranking in the top 12 for fewest points allowed. These units will have their hands full on Sunday, however, given the level of offensive talent on both sides.

Can the Cardinals slow down this prolific Rams’ passing attack? Stafford is averaging an absurd 10 yards per attempt with nine touchdowns and only one interception. Arizona’s pass rush, led by standout edge rusher Chandler Jones, will need to be flying here in order to slow down Stafford.

LA’s offensive line has done a fantastic job providing a clean pocket for Stafford. The veteran quarterback has only been sacked three times, including just once against Tampa Bay’s vaunted pass rush in Week 3.

Murray has also struggled against Aaron Donald and this Rams defense so far in his career. In four games, he’s put up a 75.8 quarterback rating with a 58.7% completion rate, five touchdowns, and four interceptions while averaging 5.9 yards per attempt. He’ll need to be much better for the Cardinals to win this one on the road.

Cardinals vs Rams Pick: Los Angeles Rams 34, Arizona Cardinals 24

Cardinals vs Rams Best Bets

Best Bet: Rams -4 (-110) at DraftKings

I just don’t think Arizona has enough on defense to slow down Los Angeles for an upset road win. The Rams are the more well-rounded team, and their home-field advantage will help in this huge divisional game.

I like getting less than a touchdown on LA as favorites per our NFL gameday odds. The Cardinals are improving, but they aren’t quite at the Rams’ level yet.

Best Bet: Over 54 (-110) at DraftKings

Cardinals games have combined for 51, 67, and 50 points this season, while Rams games have produced 48, 51, and 58 points. While 54 is a high number, it’s hard to bet on the Under given how explosive these offenses have looked so far this season.

For the Under to hit here on our NFL bet of the day, we would need Murray to continue his struggles against Los Angeles. I’d rather bet on how dominant Arizona’s offense looks now rather than defer to previous struggles in a small sample of four games.

Cardinals vs Rams Same Game Parlay Picks

Same Game Parlay Odds: +255

  • Rams -4.5 (-110) at DraftKings
  • Total Points Over 54.5 (-110) at DraftKings

As mentioned above, the Rams and the Over should both hit because LA looks like the best team in the NFC right now and I don’t think Arizona’s defense is deep enough to slow them down. Pairing these bets together gives us a nice shot at a solid payday.
