2021 NLCS Game 4 Predictions | Braves vs Dodgers Bets & Projections

Last Updated: Oct 21, 2021

The Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers have provided an action-packed NLCS thus far, and Game 3 may have been the most exciting game yet. After Atlanta won Games 1 and 2 in walk-off fashion, Los Angeles staged its own dramatic rally in Game 3, overcoming a 5-2 deficit in the eighth inning to pull out a 6-5 victory.

Thanks to Cody Bellinger‘s game-tying three-run homer, Game 3 could be viewed as the turning point in this NLCS when it’s all said and done. The Braves will have a bullpen game for Game 4 while the Dodgers will look to even the series behind 20-game-winner Julio Urias.

Which team will win this pivotal Game 4 at Dodger Stadium? Let’s discuss my NLCS Game 4 predictions and best bets.

Please note that all NLCS Game 4 odds and lines are current as of 11 AM ET on Wednesday, October 20, courtesy of BetMGM.

Coming off a momentum-shifting Game 3, Los Angeles will look to build on that against Atlanta’s bullpen in Game 4. The Braves had one of the better bullpens in baseball this year, ranking 10th with a 3.97 ERA, but this Dodgers offense is capable of scoring runs against anyone.

After deflating losses in Games 1 and 2, the Dodgers are right back in this series after a galvanizing Game 3. They’ll need to continue their timely hitting in Game 4, as a loss will put them on the brink of elimination.

While LA’s offense has disappeared at times throughout the postseason, they delivered when it counted in Game 3. They’re too talented and too good at home to go down without a fight, as they’re now 61-24 at Dodger Stadium this year.

Bellinger and Mookie Betts seemed to light a spark under the Dodgers last night, and I expect that to carry over into Game 4. Look for their bats to wake up against Atlanta’s relievers and carry them to victory while Urias keeps the Braves’ lineup in check.

NLCS Game 4 Prediction: Dodgers 7, Braves 4

Braves vs Dodgers Best Bets

Best Bet: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 (-105) at BetMGM

The Dodgers can score runs in bunches, which they’ve already shown several times during these playoffs. They’ve also proven to be remarkably tenacious and resilient, especially when their backs are against the wall. Don’t be surprised if they come out swinging and blow the Braves out of the water in Game 4.

After reviewing our MLB gameday odds, I’m backing Los Angeles to win by multiple runs instead of the moneyline in this one. Urias should pitch well and get tons of run support, making this the first game of the series to be decided by more than one run.

Best Bet: Over 8 Total Runs (-110) at BetMGM

The Dodgers could quite possibly cover the total themselves with what I’m predicting in this game. The Braves’ offense has been solid as well with five runs in each of the past two games and will help Los Angeles hit the Over.

The total score has increased in every game this series with 20 runs scored over the past two games combined. With both offenses heating up, look for them to plate at least nine runs tonight and cash the Over on our MLB bet of the day.
