MLB Betting Pick of the Day: Best Baseball Pick Today 8/12/21

The San Francisco Giants weren’t supposed to win this many games. They’re already 73-41 on the year and could potentially reach 100 wins if everything goes right.
Part of their success has been feasting on poor teams like the Colorado Rockies. The Giants ripped 14 hits and scored seven runs against the Rockies last night, failing to score in just two of eight innings. Now they’ll take on German Marquez, who’s been miserable against San Francisco this year.
In three starts against the Giants this season, Marquez is 0-3 with a 13.06 ERA and a 2.32 WHIP. San Francisco has batted .364 against him through 10 1/3 innings and has scored 15 runs on eight walks and 16 hits, including two home runs.
Furthermore, the Giants have one of the best offenses in baseball this year, leading the National League in homers, total bases, slugging percentage, and OPS. They’ve been swinging the bats well lately, averaging 5.9 runs per game in August.
San Francisco has scored at least four runs in 11 of their last 13 games, including their last six home games. Accordingly, they should be able to hit the over on this one, especially given Marquez’s poor track record against them.
