The stage is set for the national championship with 4-seed UConn taking on No. 5 San Diego State.

It’s a battle between the most dominant team in the tournament in the Huskies vs an Aztec’s elite defense.

UConn vs San Diego State Best Same Game Parlay

UConn vs San Diego State Best SGP (+135) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

  • UConn Moneyline (-250)
  • Under 132.5 Total Points

UConn has been absolutely dominant throughout the tournament.

They have a balanced lineup and stout defense, which has helped them win each of their games by double-digit margins.

Adama Sanogo continues to be one of the most impressive players in March Madness, averaging 20.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

The star forward dropped a double-double against Miami, putting up 21 points and 10 rebounds.

What makes the Huskies even more dangerous is their strong guard play, anchored by Jordan Hawkins, who has scored in double figures every game in this tournament, highlighted by his 24-point outburst vs Arkansas in the Round of 32.

However, I don’t feel comfortable laying 7.5 points on UConn in the national championship because of San Diego State’s elite defense.

The Aztecs currently rank fourth in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom.

That’s exactly what a team needs to cover the spread against such a formidable opponent like the Huskies.

Therefore, I’ll take UConn on the moneyline and parlay it with the full-game Under.

San Diego State has the pieces in place to keep this one close for our CBB pick of the day.

UConn vs San Diego State Longshot Same Game Parlay

UConn vs San Diego State Longshot SGP (+205) • DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Unit

  • UConn -2.5 (-285)
  • UConn: Under 71.5 Points (-150)

While this does not look like that much of a longshot March Madness parlay at +205 odds, I feel comfortable taking UConn on the alternate spread at -2.5 points instead of the posted line of 7.5.

San Diego State has demonstrated the ability to frustrate its opponents with a physical and effective defensive game plan.

UConn will win a close one, going against their trend of double-digit victories throughout this tournament.

We’ll take the Huskies at -2.5 points with the team total Under 71.5 points due to the Aztecs’ defense.
