Heat vs Hawks Player Props For Game 5 | Best Prop Bets

Last Updated: Apr 26, 2022

The Atlanta Hawks needed to win Game 4 to keep this series competitive before heading back to Miami. Instead, the Hawks ended up losing 110-86 in blowout fashion, with Trae Young scoring just nine points on 3-of-11 shooting from the field.

The best player on the floor was Jimmy Butler, who tallied 36 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes. Butler has been sensational against the Hawks this season, but he’s since been ruled out for Tuesday’s Game 5 with a knee injury.

Butler’s absence open’s the door for a lot of other guys to step up.

Heat vs Hawks Game 5 Game Props

Atlanta Hawks Double Result (-150)

WAGER: 1 Unit

This just seems like a gift. The Hawks are clearly the better team on paper now. Sure, the Hawks haven’t played all that well this series, but this is the game where the Hawks and their depth come into play. The Heat will be without two of their top players tonight.

The Heat would’ve had this in the bag if Butler was playing. He’s been unconscious for the Heat. He’s also scored the bulk of their points and has been extremely vocal. But without him, the Heat might not get consistent scoring. Therefore, grab the Hawks to win this game via the double result.

Heat vs Hawks Game 5 Player Props

Trae Young, Hawks: OVER 39.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

WAGER: 1 Unit

With the season on the line, Trae Young should absolutely step up and due to his part. He rarely took shots in Game 4 and also didn’t hit have a single foul shot scored in that game as well. He’s got to be more aggressive, and if he stays aggressive in the first half, other guys will start to get open where he can dish off some passes for points as well.

Max Strus, Heat: OVER 3.5 Threes (+100)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Max Strus just took 14 three-point attempts against the Hawks in Game 4. He’s got the green light and will more than likely hit some daggers down the line on Tuesday against the Hawks.

Strus is taking over nine threes per game in the playoffs while shooting below his average of 41%. There’s still room for improvement, and if he catches fire, watch out. He shot 50% in Game 3 and has hit at least four threes in back-to-back games.

The confidence is there for Strus, who isn’t shying away from the big moment.

PREVIOUSLY: Heat vs Hawks Game 4 Props

As expected, the Atlanta Hawks found a way to beat the Miami Heat, eking out the 111-110 victory at home in Game 3. The series is now 2-1 in favor of the Heat, but the Hawks still have an opportunity to even the series at home on Sunday.

Atlanta doesn’t have the best defense and they’ve struggled on the glass without Clint Capela, but as long as the Hawks can spread the floor on offense and get quality looks, they will be difficult to contain for any defense, including the Heat’s.

Here are our favorite props for Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs between the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by Caesars Sportsbook and current as of Saturday, April 23, at 12 p.m. ET.

Heat vs Hawks Game 4 Player Props

Bam Adebayo, Heat: To Record a Double-Double (TBD)

WAGER: 1 Unit

It’s looking more and more unlikely that Capela will make his return to the hardwood on Sunday for the Hawks, meaning Bam Adebayo should have just as much success on the glass as he did in Game 3 when he snatched 11 rebounds and scored 13 points.

The Heat dominated the Hawks on the offensive glass and earned a ton of second chances. Adebayo also managed to stay out of foul trouble, which allowed him to log 35 minutes. He had played just 24 and 28 minutes in his previous two games at home.

If the Hawks are going to play a bit fast and Capela isn’t on the floor, Adebayo should be able to earn a double-double in Game 4. Back him in our NBA bet of the day.

Kevin Huerter, Hawks: OVER Threes (TBD)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Kevin Huerter made two three-pointers in Game 1 and three in Game 2. He took eight threes in Game 3 but only nailed one.

The volume is certainly there for Huerter, but he’s shooting just 30% from three in the playoffs, averaging two makes on seven attempts per game. That’s well below the 37% he shot during the regular season.

Huerter is getting about 33 minutes per game. Assuming the game stays close — and I think the Hawks will win in a close one — I’m expecting Huerter to get his minutes and shot attempts. I also expect his shots to start falling, especially on his home floor.

Heat vs Hawks Game 4 Game Props

Atlanta Hawks OVER 109.5 Points (-120)

WAGER: 1 Unit

If the Atlanta Hawks want to win on Sunday, they’ll need to speed up the game and try to outshoot the Miami Heat again. The Hawks shot above 50% from the field and also had a higher three-point percentage than the Heat in Game 3. Additionally, they got to the foul line more and looked like the more aggressive team.

We might see a back and forth in Game 4, but the Hawks depth and bench production poses problems for Miami’s defense. When everyone on the floor is capable of scoring, it’s only makes things tougher for Miami.

Back the Hawks to score at least 110 points at home in Game 4.

The Miami Heat have started the playoffs going 2-0 on their home floor, defeating the Atlanta Hawks by double digits in both games. However, a series isn’t decided in just two games, and with the Atlanta Hawks getting a couple of home games next, the Heat can’t afford to let up.

The Heat have been one of the best defenses in the league this season, which has shown in the postseason. So far, Miami has held Trae Young to 2-of-17 shooting from beyond the arc, and the All-Star guard has more turnovers (16) than made field goals (11).

Should we stay away from betting on Young, even at home? Here are our favorite props for Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs between the Hawks and Heat.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by Caesars Sportsbook and current as of Thursday, April 21, at 10 a.m. ET.

Heat vs Hawks Game 3 Player Props

Trae Young, Hawks: OVER 39.5 Points, Rebounds, Assists (-115)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Why shy away from betting on Young? Despite shooting at an incredibly low rate, his usage is still extremely high. He’s going to take his shots, and now he gets to play in front of a home crowd that isn’t booing him throughout the game.

Not only is Young a terrific scorer, but he’s also going to fill up the box score. Young has averaged six rebounds against the Heat in back-to-back games and just tallied seven assists in 41 minutes against the Heat in Game 2.

I’m not expecting a triple-double, but I am expecting Young to fill up the box score, limit the turnovers, and shoot at a higher percentage at home. On the road, he had 38 points, rebounds, and assists while shooting 2-for-10 from three. He also only got to the line a couple of times.

This is a prime example of betting on a player when they’re down. Young will log much more than 39.5 points, rebounds, and assists. He’s had games with 40 points alone. Back him with your NBA bet of the day.

Jimmy Butler, Heat: UNDER Points (TBD)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Jimmy Butler had an incredible game against the Hawks on Tuesday, scoring recording 45 points, five rebounds, and five assists in the victory. When the public sees these types of performances, they love to hammer the Over on that same player in the next game.

But let’s break down Butler’s performance. He went 4-of-7 from deep, hit 11-of-12 from the line, and shot 60% from the field while having no turnovers in the game.

That’s not very sustainable, especially knowing that Butler averaged 23.3% from deep this season while also turning the ball over two times per game. Butler also didn’t get to the line nearly as much this season and shot under 50% from the field.

Butler was a beast on Game 2, but on the road, he won’t be as dominant — especially if Clint Capela returns to action to clog up the middle of the paint for Game 3.

Heat vs Hawks Game 3 Game Props

Atlanta Hawks OVER Points (TBD)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Again, I’m going to believe that the Hawks will benefit from having a home game. The energy early on will be much greater than it was in the first two games. Young will return to form. The Hawks will limit turnovers like they’ve done all year and Atlanta will score 111 or more points in this game.

The Hawks continue to get new contributors every night and are actually very deep offensively. One night it’s Bogdan Bogdanovic, another night it’s Danilo Gallinari. We’ve also seen De’Andre Hunter go off, and of course, John Collins is starting to get back into the rotation.

This offense is extremely good and will improve in the playoffs playing at home.

The Miami Heat defeated the Atlanta Hawks 115-91 in the first game of their first-round series. The Heat were prepared defensively, holding Trae Young to just eight points on 1-for-12 from the floor.

Earlier this week, it was suggested that the Hawks could run out of gas by the time they faced the Heat. Atlanta won two straight play-in games, and unsurprisingly looked extremely tired against the Heat in Game 1.

Will the Hawks put up more of a fight in the second game despite still being on the road? Here are our favorite props for Game 2 between Miami and Atlanta.

All NBA gameday odds are provided by Caesars Sportsbook and current as of Monday, April 18, at 3 p.m. ET.

Heat vs Hawks Game 2 Player Props

Kyle Lowry, Heat: OVER 8.5 Assists (+105)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Kyle Lowry has done a great job facilitating the Miami Heat offense. In the first meeting against the Hawks, Lowry finished with 10 points along with nine assists. He took just eight shot attempts in 29 minutes and looked to get his teammates more involved.

Prior to the postseason, Lowry had 10 assists in two of his final three regular-season games and still averaged 17 points as well. If he’s going to continue to keep his volume down from the field, it only means Lowry’s assist total will go up.

The Hawks have a great offense, but their defense is something Miami can expose. There are many ways to bet Lowry in this game, but the Over on his assists prop is our NBA bet of the day.

Bam Adebayo, Heat: OVER 9.5 Rebounds (-140)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Bam Adebayo averaged 7.8 rebounds per game in the month of April and then only had six rebounds in Game 1. But realistically, Adebayo only played 28 minutes when he’s used to playing over 30 a game. He also only took five shot attempts and scored one field goal.

If we go back to March, Adebayo was averaging 10.3 rebounds per game, but in three games against the Hawks this year, he’s yet to record more than six.

It just seems like the Heat have to get Adebayo more involved moving forward. If he’s more engaged on the offensive end, he’ll end up earning more rebounds on both sides of the ball. So let’s go with it.

Heat vs Hawks Game 2 Game Props

Miami Heat Double Result (-155)

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Miami Heat finished in first place for a reason. Miami’s defense is one of the best in the NBA, holding teams to 109.1 points per 100 possessions along with a 52.4 effective field goal percentage. The Heat also force 15 turnovers per game and continue to put really good offenses into uncomfortable positions.

Meanwhile, Atlanta’s defense is just dreadful, allowing 114.9 points per 100 possessions along with a 54.3 effective field goal percentage.

I like Miami to take the lead early and never look back. It might be a different story when Atlanta is at home, but for now, ride with the Heat and that stellar defense.

The Atlanta Hawks won back-to-back Play-In games to clinch the eighth seed in the NBA Playoffs. Now, they’ll take on the Miami Heat in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Hawks have one of the best offenses in the NBA, while the Heat pride themselves on the defensive end. What should we expect when both of these teams compete against one another?

Here are our favorite props for the first game of the NBA Playoffs between the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks.

Heat vs Hawks Game 1 Player Props

Trae Young, Hawks: OVER 41.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Hawks are going to need Trae Young to put together the performance of his life in this first-round matchup against the Heat.

Young took 25 shots in Atlanta’s win over the Cavaliers on Friday and scored 38 points while assisting on nine baskets. He also rebounded three misses and went 4-for-11 from deep and 8-for-9 from the foul line. Young loves these types of moments and shines when the Hawks need him the most.

At halftime, the Hawks were down by 10 points. Young barely scored the basketball. Then, in the second half, Young exploded for 32 points and played 40 minutes in the game.

If you’re going to trust anyone on the court Sunday, trust Young to do a bit of everything for our NBA bet of the day.

Jimmy Butler, Heat: UNDER 0.5 Three-Pointers (+105)

WAGER: 1 Unit

Jimmy Butler is not a three-point shooter. He’s going to get his shots. He’ll get his minutes too. But he won’t be chucking up many threes if any.

To finish the season, Butler went 0-for-2 against the Hawks but still took 10 field goal attempts and got to the line 12 times.

Butler needs to be aggressive, and he needs to get to the line and drive to the rim. Plus, if Clint Capela is out for an extended time, Butler will have more opportunity to bang around inside and score.

The playoffs aren’t fun and games. This is serious, and Butler will take every opportunity to play to his strengths.

Heat vs Hawks Game 1 Game Props

Miami Heat Over 112.5 Points (-110)

WAGER: 1 Unit

The Miami Heat scored 113 points against the Hawks in the final “real" regular-season game. The Heat played the Orlando Magic in the final game, however, most players sat in that game and allowed Victor Oladipo to get more comfortable instead. Anyway, the Heat shot 42.3% from deep and 55.6% from the field with 20 assists.

The Heat took 26 three-point shots and really had a good feel for the game, at home, against the Hawks. The Heat got some really wide-open looks in that game.

I know that the Heat aren’t the most up-tempo basketball team, but overall, the Hawks just don’t play good enough defense consistently.

Look for the Heat to capitalize on poor defense and tired legs in this one.
