Monaco Grand Prix Odds & Predictions 2024

Last Updated: May 23, 2023

After an unexpected week off due to the humanitarian efforts in Italy, Formula 1 is back with one of, if not its most prestigious race on the calendar: the Monaco Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen continues to pace all drivers in points, while teammate Sergio Pérez continues to nip at his heels.

Monaco is a road course, and a difficult one at that. A win at Circuit de Monaco is a career highlight for any driver so expect an excellent showdown this weekend.

F1 Monaco Grand Prix Odds

Formula 1 odds for Monaco are current as of Friday, May 23, at 12 p.m. ET and found at BetMGM Sportsbook.

F1 Monaco Winner Prediction

Max Verstappen (+125) • BetMGM Sportsbook

Once again, Verstappen is the favorite to win, and with good reason. His push up the grid in Miami earned him Driver of the Day alongside his win. At plus money, Verstappen is a must-bet.

While DraftKings sits at (+115), you can find these better odds at BetMGM Sportsbook for this F1 bet of the day.

Verstappen is plus money at the moment for a couple of reasons. He has crashed at Monaco in the past, and he is competing against a similar car with teammate Pérez the driver pushing him the most each race, and it can be argued that the Dutch-Belgian is not the best road course driver.

F1 Monaco Max Verstappen Tips

Any time that you can wager on Max Verstappen at plus money, you should do it. It is difficult to get good odds on him without putting down a decent wager. Another way to wager on Verstappen is to wager on his props, such as race winner and fastest lap doubles.

F1 Monaco Sergio Pérez Tips

Pérez had a disappointing finish in Miami after losing pace from medium to hard compound tires, while Verstappen’s plan did the opposite.

Pérez is the Monaco GP defending champion, which is a significant reason that he remains live to win this weekend.

F1 Monaco Best Prop Bets

Charles Leclerc: Race Winner (+400) • BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit

Can another driver win? Sure, but it has to be the correct driver on the right course. Charles Leclerc is arguably the best road course driver in the field and may have the opportunity to win under similar wet conditions that befell the course in 2022. I’d wager Leclerc over Pérez this week if you want to place two outrights.

Lando Norris: Points Finish (-150) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 2 units

Last year’s fastest lap was Lando Norris. Norris (and McLaren) has struggled this season, finishing 17th three times in five races, with a 6th and 9th sprinkled in. In three Monaco races, he has finished 11th, 3rd, and 6th, which speaks more to Norris’s ability to handle challenging road courses than it does course history.

The 23-year-old has turned a mediocre car into a points machine during his time with McLaren, which is why I like him up to (-175) to finish in the points. It’s not an official bet, but Norris to finish Top 6 is (+500) and is in the range of possibilities.

Nyck de Vries: Not To Be Classified (+250) • FanDuel Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 unit(s)

Does it feel good to bet for someone not to finish? No, but Nyck de Vries is having a disastrous rookie season. de Vries also does not get the benefit of the doubt for being young in F1 because teammate Yuki Tsunoda is five years younger and has more races under his belt.

If rain causes havoc during qualifying and race day, de Vries could be the first driver out of the Monaco Grand Prix.
