ESPN BET Promo Code

The online sports betting world has been shaken up with the arrival of ESPN BET, which is now live in 17 states through a partnership with PENN Entertainment.

ESPN BET is a product of a rebrand from PENN’s previously front-facing partner - Barstool Sportsbook (Dave Portnoy, the Barstool founder, regained control of the Barstool brand as part of the ESPN deal).

Jay Snowden, the CEO of PENN Entertainment, had said the plan was for ESPN BET to launch in up to 16 states “certainly before Thanksgiving" and he was right: ESPN BET went live on November 14.

We’ll discuss everything you need to know about ESPN BET, including a powerfully integrated app, the ESPN BET promo code offer, as well as the betting options and banking details.

After years of flirting with the sports betting industry, ESPN BET is disrupting the market the same way it did with the television industry more than 40 years ago. Let’s take a look.

ESPN BET Promo Code for New Users

The ESPN BET promo code is giving new users $200 in bonus bets when they wager at least $10 on any market.

You’ll get a $200 bonus regardless of whether your bet wins. The bonus bets come as 4 $50 tokens that have no cash value.

Your bonus bets expire in 7 days.

The other factor to mention is there might not be an actual ESPN BET promo code to enter when you sign up.

Several sportsbooks have gone this route, mostly notably FanDuel and DraftKings, which usually don’t provide promo codes for their new user offers.

How To Sign Up With The ESPN BET Promo Code

When it comes to the ESPN BET promo code, the full sign-up process is similar to those found at most top betting apps:

  1. Select our link to the site from this article to begin the registration process. Enter a promo code if required to activate the welcome bonus.
  2. Create your account with personal information, including your name, email, address, and last four digits of your social security number. You must prove you are physically located in a state that offers ESPN BET and that you are 21 or older.
  3. Once logged in, deposit funds to place your first bet with ESPN!

What to Know About ESPN BET

The ESPN brand is synonymous with sports, so it was not surprising to learn the company decided to branch out into sports betting services.

Penn Entertainment is an experienced brand to team up with, allowing ESPN to start off on the right foot.

ESPN BET has replaced Barstool Sports as the front-facing brand of PENN National Gaming and is now live in 17 states, the 16 states where Barstool operated, plus Kentucky.

ESPN has slowly made its way to offering a full sportsbook after providing various TV segments focused on sports betting for years.

Game broadcasts also often provide odds for upcoming events so sports fans can make their picks.

ESPN BET offers desktop and mobile betting so that players can access odds and various markets from home or on the go.

More ESPN BET Promotions

ESPN BET also offers an alternative promo, but you can’t claim this ESPN BET promo if you’ve signed up for the Bet $10, Get $200 offer.

The alternative option offered by the ESPN BET promo code is a 100% deposit match of up to $1,000 (eligible cashback).

You’ll get cashback at a 5% rate for every dollar wagered, however, the bets are restricted to -200 odds or greater (i.e. -300, -400).

ESPN BET will soon be launching in North Carolina.

ESPN BET Odds

This isn’t going to shock you, but ESPN BET’s odds are about what you’d expect: Sometimes they’re better than DraftKings and FanDuel, sometimes they’re not.

That’s why it’s important to shop around.

For instance, we found that ESPN BET offered -4 (-110) on NFL spreads, while FanDuel was posting 4.5 (-112). When you combine the hook and the two cent difference, ESPN BET clearly prevails in this spot.

What Happened to Barstool Sportsbook?

Barstool Sportsbook is not closed but has been replaced by PENN Entertainment with the ESPN BET brand. The online sports betting site struggled to gain any footing in the industry, failing to gain a market share despite major investment.

Barstool has seen growth overall, but the ESPN brand is expected to be a better option for PENN, as the brand already has a following, with hundreds of millions of users, several television stations, and hosts major sports events, including Monday Night Football.
