DRF, short for Daily Racing Form, is the most recognizable name in horse-racing betting info and has turned that brand into a fledgling online sportsbook and horse-race betting platform that users across the globe should enjoy.

Unsurprisingly, DRF offers an incredible array of races to wager on and also provides its signature advice to app users. DRF Horse Race Betting Hands-on Review

Horse racing fans who have been to any horse track around the country undoubtedly know the Daily Racing Form from its track form that is distributed at tracks around the United States since 1894. DRF is the most trusted name in horse racing handicapping, and they’re taking that in-track service to the masses via DRF.com and the DRF Bets app.

DRF.com and the DRF Bets app offer daily race betting at high-profile tracks like Saratoga, Belmont Park, Parx, Yonkers and more but also has daily race betting abroad in places like Great Britain, France, Australia, Asia and many others. Breaking down the list between thoroughbreds and harness races is s a breeze by simply toggling an icon at the top of the page.

DRF Bets has a unique, user-friendly interface designed solely for horse-racing bettors and will throw in its exclusive DRF Past Performance (PP) Formulator analysis to new bettors who deposit and continue to place bets on the DRF website and app.

Is DRF Horse Race Betting Legit?

Yes. With the backing of the Daily Racing Form, one of the most trusted names in horse-racing analysis, DRF and the DRF Bet app are completely legit.

Can You Win Real Money Playing at DRF Horse Race Betting?

Yes. DRF takes horse racing bets and will pay out in states where betting on horse racing online is legal.

DRF Bets Signup Bonus

Simply click on The Game Day’s “Get Bonus" button on the DRF page then sign up with the promo code “STAKES" to unlock up the best offer in online horse racing.

DRF Bets First Deposit Bonus

DRF is giving horse racing bettors a first deposit match of up to $200. Users must bet through their entire bonus amount in order to withdraw funds. Bettors must use their bonus funds within 14 days, and any unused bonus funds after two weeks will be withdrawn from the user’s account. Again, users must be at least 18 or 21 in the states listed above.

Users who make their first deposit will also receive limited free access to DRF’s database of past performances for each horse as well as speed figures for them too. Bettors can accrue credits that will give them access to more PPs, and the more bettors wager the more they’ll receive.

DRF Bets Promotions

The bonuses listed above are exceptional, but there’s more every day. Since DRF’s signature service is advice, it offers free advice for one U.S. race each day, essentially giving bettors a taste of the full service they can purchase for $4 or more per race or up to $20 per month. DRF will also periodically throw in more advice for free or at a discounted rate depending on the promotion.

Unlike online sports betting, betting on horse races online is legal in nearly every state. Online horse betting and horse betting apps are taking over where simulcasts and Off-Track Betting (OTB) formerly occupied the spaces of gambling on horse racing during the 1990s, 2000s and early 2010s.

The DRF Bets app and website are open to bettors in nearly every state, including:

  • Alabama

Betting Markets

The DRF Bets app gives horse-racing enthusiasts a huge selection of betting markets. Horse bettors can gamble sift through each race at more than a dozen racetracks in the U.S. on each day. Bettors who prefer thoroughbreds over harness racing, or vice versa, can toggle an icon and get an entire day’s worth of races from around the world at their fingertips.

Betting on a horse to Win, Place or Show is as easy as a couple of taps. Gamblers can also place their Straight Trifecta or Straight Exacta bets on each race, or pick horses to finish in the top-3 or top-5 in no order at all. DRF Bets offers schedules so gamblers know what time their bets need to be in and has dozens of available betting markets from tracks around the world, including Australia, Europe and Asia.

Yet, what makes DRF Bets best is its advice, which might cost extra at points. Still, for gamblers looking for every edge, DRF has you covered with all angles on all races, and many horses, every day.

Betting Options

Horse-racing bettors can wager on almost any race around the world, both thoroughbreds and harness-style racing, and can place bets on anything from Win/Place/Show to Straight Trifectas or Exactas or pick-3s or pick-5s. The DRF Bets website and app also makes betting on these markets a breeze, with a user-friendly picking interface and a simple window for bettors to pick their unit amount, and each preferred unit amount is saved for future use.

DRF will also periodically throw in more advice for free or at a discounted race depending on the promotion.

My DRF Bets App Experience

Downloading the DRF Bets app via the App store was a cinch, and upon opening the app it felt like I had access to the entire horse-racing world at my fingertips. Each track was clearly marked, and I could easily peruse each race, getting clear odds, jockey names and weights and trainers names as well.

Placing bets on each race was just as simple. The screen at the bottom enables users to place their preferred bet, whether it’s a Win, Win/Place, Win/Place/Show, Straight Exacta, Straight Trifecta, or any of the other options available for betting, and boxes appear that enable the user to place his/her pick.

Bettors have the option to place simple $2 bets, the standard wager in horse racing, or enter their own custom amount at the bottom of the screen. Log in and place your bet, and it’s a breeze, and follow along by watching the simulcast for certain races at certain tracks. If you bet on a race in Asia and were sleeping while it happened, you can use the DRF Bets app to view results from that or any other race from around the globe that has already happened.

Some of the app’s features send users to the DRF website, which also is a great resource for horse-racing fans. There’s pertinent news for racing fans, and users can access the free daily advice at DRF.com.

DRF Bets and DRF.com are an integral resource for horse-racing fans. Plus, by betting with DRF users can accrue credits that entitle them to free advice, PPs and much more. The PPs, which start at $4.25 per race, are the most valuable service DRF Bets offers, which is why their promo offer is so good.

Should You Bet at DRF Bets?

If you’re a horse-racing fan, you should absolutely be betting with DRF.com and the DRF Bets app. Given the surplus of available betting tracks, DRF is horse-race betting heaven, and given the spectacular promo offer, of a $200 first-deposit match plus limited advice, why wouldn’t racing fans want to take full advantage of the site and app’s exceptional service.

Promos typically center around PPs, which are valuable, but once you’ve taken advantage of the site’s $200 first-deposit match, putting in your own money is essentially the only way to keep gambling. Still, the advice is what will boost winnings, and starting with $200 in free funds, plus whatever your first deposit is, goes a long way in a sport where $2 is the standard bet.

How To Join DRF Bets

Signing up to cash in on the DRF offer is easy, as long as you’re in one of the states where betting on horse racing online is legal. Just a few taps will get you in on all the best races every day. Here’s a look at the steps

  • Click to be taken to the DRF homepage and click register
  • Enter your information and use the promo code that unlocks the $200 deposit match
  • Make your first deposit using one of the available depositing options listed below
  • Start betting!

Banking Options

DRF Bets offers many standard options for bettors who are looking to deposit money into their accounts. Users can have their money inserted instantly using debit cards, credit cards, bank transfers, ACH or PayPal. Credit card transactions have a $500 weekly limit and carry a $5 cash-advance fee, which is standard for depositing into online gambling accounts. Bank transfers and PayPal deposits do not carry fees. Wire transfers of less than $250 also have a $5 fee.

Users may also deposit via physical check, but the lag time is obviously a detriment to that service.

Deposits

DRF Bets offers a slew of depositing options, but they’re standard in the online gambling space. Users can put money in via a credit card, debit card, ACH or by PayPal, which makes inserting funds a breeze. However, DRF Bets only accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover as depositing credit card options.

DRF Bets also offers PayNearMe, a service that enables users to receive instant access while paying cash at a local store like 7-Eleven or Walgreens.

Withdrawals

Bettors can withdraw their winnings via PayPal, ACH or physical checks. PayPal withdrawals carry a $1 fee, and physical checks are free and will be mailed out in one business day. There is an expedited option for physical checks via FedEx, but it carries a $17 fee, which will be deducted from a user’s online playable funds account.

Users can withdraw money either by phone or via their online account on DRF Bets or the DRF website. Users may also withdraw their funds at XPressBet partner tracks or OTBs that offer XPressBets. There is a $2,500 daily maximum for cash withdrawals.

Rewards System

DRF Bets rewards pays out in PP credits, which means the more a bettor plays on the DRF website and app, the more credits he/she can accrue. Bettors that wager up to $1,000 in a month will receive a monthly DRF Pro service, which means aside from winning big they’ll also be able to compound their victories with better advice that comes free.

Customer Service

DRF Bets only has two types of customer service option, email and phone, which puts it behind in many of its online sportsbook counterparts that offer live chats. However, representatives are available seven days per week and offer quick responses to emails, which makes this a good option for users with questions or concerns.

DRF Bets also has a robust Frequently Asked Questions section that addresses many concerns that users have without the need to send an email or phone call.

Does DRF Horse Race Betting Have An Online Sportsbook?

Yes. DRF Sportsbook is currently only online in Iowa at the moment. Yet, DRF intends to grow its online sports gambling presence aside from just horse racing to more states in the future.
