DRF Sportsbook Hands-on Review

Update! DRF Sportsbook is now providing a $150 Deposit Match + $50 Bet Credit for players who use the promo code DRF150. The deposit match has a 2x 7-day play-through requirement. The odds permitted for the bet credit are -400 to +400. Take advantage of this lucrative deposit match by .

The DRF sportsbook app and website looks great. It has a user-friendly interface and color scheme and is extremely easy to navigate. Signing up and depositing money is a cinch, and it has an exceptional welcome offer for first-time users.

DRF, short for Daily Racing Form, made its name as a horse-racing advice newspaper, which it has produced since 1894. The DRF Bets app, which is allows horse-racing enthusiasts an option to bet on horse races in more than 30 states, has everything you’d expect from the Daily Racing Form. DRF Sports looks like many of its competitors in its odds and available markets but does not have the DRF signature advice you’d expect that separates the brand from its competition in the horse-racing realm.

DRF does separate itself from its competition with its welcome offer, which is a risk-free bet up to $150, and a free bet credit of $50. Unfortunately, the service is only available in Iowa, but if you’re there the book is worth exploring fully.

Is DRF Sportsbook Legit?

Yes. With the backing of the New York-based Sports Information Group, and branded by one of the most recognizable names in horse-racing advice, the DRF sportsbook is legal, regulated and legitimate.

Can You Win Real Money Playing at DRF Sportsbook?

Yes. The DRF sportsbook is a fully operational sportsbook, which means users in Iowa can win real money betting on its app and web platform.

DRF Sportsbook Signup Bonus

DRF sportsbook is one of the few online sportsbooks that offer a no-deposit bonus just for signing up, which is an exceptional promotion to take advantage of. Simply click on the “Get Bonus" link at the top of this page, sign up and receive the bonus. Then make your first deposit and receive that full offer too.

DRF Sportsbook No-Deposit Bonus

The no-deposit bonus is a $25 free bet which DRF will add to your online account after your signup is approved. Users must be 21 or older and physically located in Iowa to take advantage of the offer. Users have seven days to take advantage of the free bet.

Deposit Bonus

There is not a first-deposit bonus for the DRF sportsbook, but given the popularity of such a promotion, expect it to offer that as an option in the future.

Risk-Free Bet

DRF sportsbook offers a risk-free bet of up to $150. If your first bet fails, you will be reimbursed in a free bet of the first amount, which is not the best promotion but still isn’t bad.

The offer is for users 21 and older in Iowa. There’s a $50 deposit minimum and a minimum first bet of $10 to receive the initial risk-free wager. If your first bet loses but your free bet wins only profit will be paid out on the second wager. Users have seven days upon signing up to take advantage of this promotion.

DRF Sportsbook Promotions

The DRF sportsbook offers a slew of promotions that are simple to find. Simply click on the “Promotions" tab at the top of the app or website and see the best of what DRF has to offer, including its refer-a-friend promotion where users who refer their friends will receive up to $150 free.

Aside from referring friends, DRF also offers the no-deposit, new-signup bonus as well as a risk-free bet.

How To Join DRF Sportsbook

Joining DRF sportsbook is a cinch. Here’s how you do it:

  • Click on one of the many links on this page to be taken to the .
  • Click “Register" at the top of the screen
  • Choose your welcome offer and input any promotional code
  • Enter your email and password. Click the window that affirms all betting must take place in Iowa and that you’re 21 or older
  • Complete signup and confirm your account
  • Begin gambling!

My DRF Sportsbook App Experience

Downloading the DRF sportsbook app on my iPhone was simple. The app was easy to find in the App store, and once downloaded, it was a cinch to peruse the robust number of betting markets available on the app.

Navigating the app is simple. Each sport has a name and an icon at the top of the screen and after selecting each sport, the day’s worth of games is easily accessible, as is each game’s moneyline odds, spreads and odds, as well as totals and the odds associated with those too. Placing a wager is as easy as a couple of taps on the screen.

The app has an extremely user-friendly interface and provides just about every sport you can imagine. The only real drawback is the app will only allow live bets in Iowa, but if it expands it should become an elite option for sports gamblers.

Should You Bet at DRF Sportsbook?

If you’re in Iowa, definitely. The DRF sportsbook website and app is very user-friendly, extremely easy to navigate and has just about every sports betting market imaginable. The odds for each game/market seem to be competitive with other online sportsbooks, and the welcome offer, of a $25 no-deposit bonus, can’t be beat.

Plus, the DRF sportsbook website offers analysis and tips that is borne out of its horse-racing app’s signature service.

Customer service is very receptive, and there is both email and live chat options, as well as a robust Frequently Asked Questions section that addresses just about all of your needs.

Payment Methods Available

Credit card deposits are not accepted as a deposit option, which is a bit of a disappointment, but DRF deals with cash, which saves users hidden fees. Plus, the DRF Play+ card can be loaded by using a credit card, which is a workaround, and that card has a Discover logo on it, which means it can be used wherever those are accepted.

The PayNearMe option has a $500 deposit limit per day. Debit cards must have a Visa or MasterCard logo to be accepted.

Deposits

  • Debit Card
  • ACH/Bank Transfer
  • PayNearMe
  • DRF Play+ Card

Withdrawals

As is typical, there are far fewer withdrawal options. They include:

  • DRF Play+ Card
  • Online Bank Transfer

The DRF Play+ Card is the fastest option as online bank transfers can take up to three days for funds to be approved then up to five business days for the money to appear in your bank account.

Leagues You Can Bet On

The DRF sportsbook offers a ton of sports for bettors to wager on, including:

  • NFL
  • NBA
  • MLB
  • NHL
  • NCAA basketball and football
  • MLS
  • EPL
  • Champions League
  • NASCAR
  • Formula 1
  • ATP
  • WTA
  • UFC
  • MMA
  • Boxing
  • Much more

Bet Types

There’s a slew of available bet types, including:

  • Moneylines
  • Over/Under Totals
  • Spread-bets
  • Futures
  • Props, including player props
  • Alternate spreads/totals
  • Much more

Rewards System

Online sportsbooks will sometimes offer rewards systems where the more you play, the more you earn. They can come in the form of site credit, free bets, hotel stays and more! Unlike DRF Bets, the DRF online sportsbook does not have rewards or a loyalty program. DRF Sportsbook is still new to the game, so be on the lookout for a rewards system in the future.

Customer Service

Like its partner site/app DRF Bets, the sportsbook platform has a robust Frequently Asked Questions table that addresses many concerns and issues that users may run into. Unlike its horse-racing counterpart, the DRF sportsbook app and website offer live web-based chatting with representatives who can help with any potential problems that arise.

States Where You Can Bet At DRF Sportsbook

With DRF being new to the sportsbook market, we expect them to launch in many states throughout the country as more and more states bring online sports betting within their borders. For now, Iowa is the only option if you want to bet on sports at DRF Sportsbook.

Does DRF Sportsbook Have An Online Casino?

Many online sportsbooks do have an online casino attached to them. Unfortunately, Iowa does not offer online casinos at this time. As DRF expands their footprint throughout the US, you may see not having an online casino, but it does offer a horse-racing gambling platform and app, DRF Bets, for people interested in betting on horse races from around the world.
