Sunday Night Football Predictions Week 15 | SNF Picks & Saints vs Buccaneers Best Bets

Last Updated: Dec 19, 2021

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers almost let one slip away last week after failing to hold a multiple possession lead against the Bills last week, which forced overtime. In overtime, the Buccaneers got the ball first and ultimately score the game-winning touchdown to go 10-3 on the season.

Now they’ll welcome the New Orleans Saints to town. It’s a big rivalry match-up between the Saints and the Buccaneers. Recently, the Saints have had the Buccaneers’ number, but things have gone downhill for New Orleans this season with many devastating injuries.

The Saints have won four of their last five games against the Buccaneers. However, with all of the injuries, will the Buccaneers get their revenge at home?

Please note that all NFL Week 15 odds and lines are current as of 1 p.m. on Friday, December 17.

Sunday Night Football Prediction Week 15

The Buccaneers have now won four straight games after knocking off the Giants, Colts, Falcons, and Bills. Now they’ll look for another win to get to 11 wins on the season.

With Tom Brady under center, everything just seems so much easier. The Tampa Bay offense is averaging 419.2 yards per game, including 323.2 yards per game in the air. Brady can still sling it and has shown it all season long with the wicked amount of talent.

However, the defense has been pretty inconsistent this year. The run game has allowed just 91.2 yards per game, but to be fair, the defense has struggled to make tackles and hasn’t looked all that great in the run game on defense.

There’s reason to believe that running back Alvin Kamara and quarterback Taysom Hill could have success on the ground against the Buccaneers. The pass coverage for Tampa Bay has been the elite part of the defense.

This year, quarterback play has been weak for the Saints. They started the season with Jameis Winston but when he was injured and out for the year, the Saints went with Trevor Siemian while Hill was out. Once Hill was activated after a few weeks, he was named the starter and helped the Saints to their first win since that Winston injury.

However, on defense, the pass rush just isn’t up to par this year for the Saints, and if New Orleans gives Brady time in the pocket, it’s over.

The Saints might be effective rushing the football against the Buccaneers, but ultimately, the Saints just don’t have the talent to compete this season. It’s a lost year, and the Saints only won last week because they were playing the New York Jets. Prior to that win, the Saints lost five straight games.

I know the Saints already defeated the Buccaneers earlier this year, but it was an odd game where the Buccaneers really weren’t prepared for a different quarterback to play. Expect the Buccaneers to be way more prepared this time around. They’re going up against a 6-7 Saints team now.

I’m expecting a lot of points in this game. Brady should have plenty of time in the pocket to make plays while the Saints should be able to have success on the ground against the Buccaneers rushing defense that isn’t nearly as good as the box score suggests.

With Hill under center to start the game, the Saints have a legitimate playmaker that can do some things that no other quarterback can do. He’s an engine and has Kamara back next to him in the backfield.

I’ll ride the over here.
