Monday Night Football Predictions Week 12 | MNF Picks & Seahawks vs Washington Best Bets

Last Updated: Nov 29, 2021

Just a year ago, both the Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Football Team won their respective divisions and hosted a home playoff game. But since then, a lot has gone wrong for both Seattle and Washington.

Both teams are currently in real danger of missing the playoffs and a loss in Week 12 on Monday Night Football would surely end either’s postseason hopes.

So who will emerge victorious in this “loser leaves town" game on Monday Night Football? Let’s dive into the odds and give our picks.

Please note that all NFL gameday odds are current as of 12 p.m. ET on Monday, November 29.

Monday Night Football Prediction Week 12

At some point, Russell Wilson and the Seahawks have to snap out of their slump, right? Since Wilson returned to the lineup, the Seahawks have scored a combined 13 points in two games. Wilson has not played well and the entire offense looks disjointed.

Meanwhile, Washington’s offense just played one of its best games of the season as Taylor Heinicke threw three touchdowns on just 22 passing attempts in a 27-21 win over Carolina.

But can Washington’s defense continue to find ways to get key stops without Chase Young and Montez Sweat? The unit has managed to slow down the Panthers, Buccaneers, and Broncos in the last three weeks, giving up no more than 21 points in any game.

This does feel like a game in which the offense finally gets back on track for Seattle and the Seahawks avoid dropping to 3-8 on the season. However, expect this to be a close game that is likely decided on the final drive or two.

Monday Night Football Best Bets Week 12

MNF Best Bet: Seahawks -1 (-110) at TwinSpires

Wager: 1 Unit

In games like this, it’s always smarter to ride with the better quarterback. However, Russell Wilson has not played like an elite quarterback since returning from injury. With the way that he has played over the last two weeks, it’s fair to wonder if he is a better option than Taylor Heinicke right now.

So will this be the game the Seattle offense finally gets back on track? It does feel like a game in which the Seahawks receivers should be open early and often. With this spread being under three points, Seattle is probably the right bet here.

Washington is just 1-4 ATS in its last five home games with the only cover coming in a Week 10 upset win over the Buccaneers. Washington is just not a team that you should trust very much on offense or on defense right now considering all of its injuries. The defensive scheme is pretty bland and the defensive line doesn’t have the horses to pressure Wilson at a high rate.

Take the Seahawks here as your NFL pick of the day and expect them to win a close game where the final margin of victory is only a field goal.

MNF Best Bet: Under 47 Total Points (-109) at TwinSpires

Wager: 1 Unit

It’s really hard to trust either offense right now and that is especially true of the Seahawks. They just haven’t been able to sustain drives and the big plays down the field aren’t happening.

However, you do have to give Seattle’s defense some credit as it has held opponents to 23 points or fewer in each of the last five games. The defense has kept the Seahawks competitive despite their poor offensive showings.

With Washington’s offense averaging only 21.2 points per game this season, this matchup has all the makings of a low-scoring contest on Monday Night Football. Take the under here as 23 points should be enough to win this game outright for either side.
