Sweeptastic Social Casino Review

Welcome Bonus

EDITOR'S OPINION

Sweeptastic is one of the newer sweepstakes casinos, but it has quickly become a player favorite because of its generous welcome bonus of 30,000 Lucky Coins and 4 FREE Sweeps Coins. Additionally, Sweeptastic stands out with an excellent game library that includes slots, bingo, table games, and more.

In the ever-growing sweepstakes casino industry, new players are faced with the challenge of finding the right place to play, as new sites are popping up all the time. Even as a veteran sweepstakes casino player, it can be hard to stay on top of all the options.

I recently stumbled upon Sweeptastic Social Casino, which launched in the Fall of 2023, and was eager to check out what it had to offer. I came away particularly impressed.

Below, I’ll explain why Sweeptastic has quickly become a top choice for many players, including myself. I’ll also take you through my experience of signing up for the site, dive into their extensive game catalog, and go over some of the promotions that are currently available.

Is Sweeptastic Casino Legit?

I found Sweeptastic Casino to be 100% legit. The site offers over 400 games for players to choose from, various promotions, and even has a loyalty program.

Before signing up, I spent some time reading through the “How Sweeptastic Works” section of the website, which had a lot of great information for new players.

I was particularly encouraged by the advert for fast and safe checkouts, as well as a 24/7 customer support team that could assist me should I ever encounter an issue. Thankfully, I haven’t had any issues thus far.

While I hadn’t heard of Heuston Gaming, the company that owns Sweeptastic, it was good to learn that they are licensed in Delaware, Ireland, and Malta, all of which are popular hubs for sweepstakes casinos.

The site also features games from a number of well-known developers, including BGaming, Belatra, 1spin4win, and Gameart, adding another sense of familiarity to the experience.

Does Sweeptastic Casino Offer a Mobile App?

Unfortunately, Sweeptastic Casino does not currently offer a mobile app. I’m typically someone who is constantly on the go, so mobile gaming is a must-have for me.

Thankfully, I was able to play on my iPhone using the mobile browser. I would recommend using Safari, which seemed to be better equipped to handle Sweeptastic than Google Chrome.

Playing on mobile had pros and cons compared to the desktop version. For one, I noticed games load faster with minimal glitches. However, in-game mechanics, such as Pragmatic Play’s turbo spins, were slower on my phone.

Aside from the gameplay, I had access to all of the functions on my phone, including purchases and redemptions. Switching from Lucky Coins to Sweeps Coins was easy and convenient.

Overall, I would say that playing at Sweeptastic Casino on my mobile device was easy and fun, and not overly different from the experience on my desktop.

Sweeptastic Casino: Play for Fun vs. Real Money

At Sweeptastic, like any other sweepstakes casino, you are not using real money to place bets. Instead, you play with two virtual currencies: Lucky Coins and Sweeps Coins.

Lucky Coins are used to play for fun and have no monetary value. Meanwhile, Sweeps Coin winnings can be redeemed for real-money prizes. I have found that playing with both coin types is beneficial.

There are several ways to earn Sweeps and Lucky Coins, including daily rewards, mail-in requests, and social media promotions. You can also purchase Lucky Coin bundles, which sometimes award additional SC rewards.

Playing for Fun at Sweeptastic Casino

Playing for fun at Sweeptastic Casino was a blast, as I could use my Lucky Coins, which have zero monetary value. To me, this is a great way to acclimate to a new sweepstakes casino site, as I can test a wide variety of games without any financial risk.

After taking advantage of my first-purchase bonus, which gave me 20,000 Lucky Coins and 20 Sweeps Coins for just $9.99, I had more than enough coins to start playing games.

The first game that caught my eye was Buffalo King Megaways, a slot with an RTP of 96.52%. I found it particularly helpful that Sweeptastic displays the RTP, or return to player percentage, for each of its games when I hover my cursor over the menu icon.

After a few spins without much success, I made my way to the new games, most of which were Halloween–themed in anticipation of the upcoming holiday. I tried out Haunted Reels, a slot with a 97% RTP that spun reels of potions, skulls, spiders, and candy corn, among other things.

Trying out these new games with Lucky Coins was quite enjoyable and helped me get familiar with the site quickly.

Playing for Real Money at Sweeptastic Casino

Once I got my bearings on the site, I decided to try my hand playing for real money at Sweeptastic Casino. I didn’t have much luck, but I still had an enjoyable experience.

I started out playing Minesweeper, a BGaming take on the classic computer game where you’re essentially trying to avoid mines. In this version, you’re making your way across a 5×12 field, planting your flag in one of the five checkered plots of land available, with payouts increasing after each successful movement across the plain.

Essentially, you have an 80% chance of avoiding the mine at each step, so it’s easy to trick yourself into thinking you can traverse the entire field. I made this mistake multiple times instead of cashing out halfway through for 4x or 5x payouts.

Thankfully, I was playing at pretty low stakes, so my Sweeps Coins lasted longer. One thing that is great about Sweepstastic is that it allows you to play for as little as 0.01 SC, which enabled me to hold onto most of the 20 SC I received as part of my first-purchase bonus.

Since SCs are such valuable commodities, I would always recommend playing low stakes, especially if you don’t take advantage of one of the first-purchase offers. This way, you’ll be able to give yourself more time to win.

How Does Sweeptastic Social Casino Work?

Sweeptastic Social Casino works like most other online sweepstakes casinos, in that it operates with virtual currencies instead of real money. Sweepstakes casinos are not considered gambling sites under U.S. laws, allowing them to operate in states that don’t have legal online casinos.

These sites are different from real-money casinos like BetMGM Casino because I cannot make direct deposits to the site or use cash to place bets. Instead, I have to use virtual currencies to play.

As we’ve discussed, the two currencies at Sweeptastic are Lucky Coins and Sweeps Coins. Most sweepstakes sites call their free play coins Gold Coins, so Sweeptastic is slightly unique in that regard.

Once I signed up and got my allotment of Lucky and Sweeps Coins, the process was essentially the same as playing at a real-money casino. I picked a game and made a bet using Sweeps Coins, and any winnings I earned would be eligible to be redeemed for real-money prizes, so long as I’ve hit the necessary threshold.

After getting used to the different currencies, I’ve found that playing at a site like Sweeptastic is quite similar to the experience of playing at a brick and mortar casino or any of their online sites.

Pros and Cons of Playing at a Sweeptastic Social Casino

I liked that signing up was quick and easy, as I was able to effortlessly create my account and add my personal information to unlock the welcome bonus.

As I mentioned earlier, I liked that I could see the RTP before I played a game, and spent a lot of time looking for the highest RTP games on site before settling for Minesweeper (98.4).

I also liked that there are several sorting options to filter your game search, including by studio and game type. This feature also helped me find all of the fun Halloween-themed reels on offer.

One aspect that I did not like at times was the gameplay. Some games had longer loading times than I would have liked, while others froze a bit or even glitched. Though to be totally transparent, my WiFi isn’t typically the best.

I love that there’s a loyalty program for Sweeptastic, which isn’t particularly common among smaller sweepstakes casino sites. While it’s obviously going to be tough to match a real-money casino’s rewards program like Caesars Rewards, I still like getting something back for my loyalty.

Overall, I would say that Sweeptastic Casino provides a user-friendly experience that is worth checking out.

Pros of Sweeptastic Casino

Excellent First-Purchase Bonus: Many online sweepstakes casinos offer first-purchase bonuses, with Sweeps Coins included in Gold Coin bundles. However, not many offer as good of a deal as Sweeptastic, as you can get 20 SC — each redeemable for $1 after satisfying the playthrough requirement — and 20,000 Lucky Coins for only $9.99.

Many Game Types: When playing at sweepstakes casinos, I want to have options. Sweeptastic offers over 400 games, most of which are slots. However, I’ve enjoyed testing out their various other offerings like Minesweeper, Bingo, Space XY (B Gaming’s version of Stake’s Crash or DraftKings’ Rocket), dice games, and much more.

Loyalty Program: While loyalty programs are staples of the real-money casino industry, they are far less common at sweepstakes casinos. Sweeptastic is ahead of the curve in this regard, offering players LC and SC rewards as they level up by playing more.

RTP Available For All Games: Before I play any casino game, I want to know my chances of winning. Sweeptastic is very helpful in this regard, as every game showcases its return to player percentage when you hover over it on the menu.

Above-Average Player Safety Tools: I don’t typically use player safety tools, but it’s nice to know there are plenty of options to help players set limits at Sweeptastic. The site offers a number of tools, including purchase limits, play limits, time limits, activity checks, timeouts, self exclusions, and of course, the ability to close your account.

Cons of Sweeptastic Casino

Limited Banking Options: While I like a lot of things about Sweeptastic social casino, it could offer more banking options. The current payment methods include a debit or credit card issued by Mastercard or Discover / Diners Club or cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and more. I don’t have a crypto wallet, so this is particularly limiting for me.

Lack of Existing Promos: While the loyalty program provides incentives to play, I was slightly discouraged by the lack of existing user promotions. There is definitely room to improve, especially around the holidays if you’re offering themed games around those special events.

No Mobile App: When playing at mobile casinos, I prefer using a dedicated app. I’m accustomed to doing so with some of the real-money sites, so it’s slightly inconvenient to have to use a browser. I feel like apps generally have better gameplay, so the lack of one diminishes the mobile play experience a bit.

Legal Considerations for Sweeptastic Casino

Sweepstakes casinos are not considered gambling sites under US laws, allowing them to operate in states that don’t have legal online casinos.

Sweeptastic is a legal online sweepstakes casino that is only open to legal residents of the United States that are 18 years or older.

I can access the site in any state except the following:

  • Idaho
  • Louisiana
  • Michigan
  • Montana
  • Nevada
  • Washington

As long as I’m not located in a prohibited state, it’s perfectly legal for me to play and redeem for real cash prizes at Sweeptastic.

How to Start Playing at Sweeptastic Casino

I found the process to start playing at Sweeptastic Casino is quite simple. All you need to do is create an account to secure the welcome bonus.

Here’s how to sign up for Sweeptastic:

  1. to visit Sweeptastic Casino.
  2. Select “Sign Up" on the left side of your screen.
  3. Enter your email and create a username and password.
  4. Agree to the terms and click “Create Account."
  5. You will be automatically signed in and will receive 1 FREE Sweeps Coin.
  6. Go to “My Account" and enter your personal information, including name, address, and phone number.

Once you’ve done this, you can start playing at Sweeptastic Casino. You will also have the option to supplement your balance of Lucky Coins and Sweeps Coins by purchasing a discounted bundle, like I did.

Before diving into the games, I would also recommend verifying your account to save time if you wish to redeem Sweeps Coins later. To do so, you must upload a government-issued ID and take a selfie to verify your identity.

Sweeptastic will review your submission and may ask for additional documents, such as proof of address.

Virtual Currency in Sweeptastic Social Casino

As discussed above, there are two types of virtual currency at Sweeptastic Casino. Lucky Coins are the free-to-play currency that do not have any redeemable value. However, I can also play with Sweeps Coins and redeem them for cash prizes.

While new players are not obligated to purchase coins upon signup, I found it helpful to immediately supplement my balance of Lucky Coins and get bonus Sweeps Coins. There are two first purchase bonuses available, each of which includes a 50% discount from the regular retail price.

You can find details on these offers below:

  • 20,000 Lucky Coins for $9.99, plus 20 FREE Sweeps Coins (usually $20).
  • 40,000 Lucky Coins for $19.99, plus 40 FREE Sweeps Coins (usually $39.99).

I went with the smaller option, but both provide solid value and give you a base coin balance with which to start playing.

Sweeptastic Social Casino Safety and Responsible Gaming

I was particularly impressed with the safety and responsible gaming measures that Sweepstastic social casino has put in place to help its players. The site has a dedicated responsible gaming page at the bottom of the home screen.

In addition, Sweeptastic has several responsible gaming tools to help control your play, including:

  • Play Limit: I can select the maximum number of coins I want to play with daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • Purchase Limit: I can set a limit on how much I want to spend daily, weekly, or monthly on coin bundles.
  • Time Limit: I can set a time limit on how long I spend on Sweeptastic each day.
  • Activity Check: I can set a reminder to take a break every 30, 60, or 120 minutes.
  • Time-out: If I want to take a break from playing and making purchases, I can set a time-out of any length from 24 hours to 42 days.
  • Self-Exclusion: If I wish to take an extended time-out, I can self-exclude for six months to an indefinite period.

Popular Games at Sweeptastic Social Casino

Sweeptastic offers over 400 games from a number of well-known developers, so I don’t think you can go wrong with any option you choose.

However, if you’re looking for the most popular games at Sweeptastic Social Casino, the site makes it easy for us players, as there is a tab for them near the top of the home screen.

These are some of the popular titles among that list right now:

  • Chests of Cai Shen
  • Snoop Dogg Dollars
  • Buffalo King Megaways
  • Tiger’s Luck - Hold & Win
  • Sweet Bonanza
  • Caishen God of Fortune - Hold & Win
  • 3 Hot Chillies
  • Joker’s Jewels
  • Elvis Frog in Vegas

After seeing it on the list, I had to check out Snoop Dogg Dollars, BGaming’s first celebrity-branded slot. It should come as no surprise, but the game had a great hip-hop soundtrack and Snoop Dogg actually narrates some of the reel spinning.

If you’re a Snoop fan, you should definitely check it out.

Conclusion: Is Sweeptastic Social Casino Worth Your Time?

Yes, Sweeptastic Casino is definitely worth your time. It is one of the best new sweepstakes casinos in the industry, and that was evident to me as soon as I spent some time on the site.

I love Sweeptastic’s wide selection of games and appreciate that I get rewarded for spending time on the site with a loyalty program that offers Lucky Coins and Sweeps Coins as you level up. It’s also nice to be able to boost your coin balance with a daily login bonus and a good-value first-purchase bonus.

While Sweeptastic is quickly becoming one of my favorites, I do think the site has some areas where it could improve. A dedicated app would truly enhance the mobile gaming experience, and it would be nice if more payment methods were accepted.

I also noticed that not all games help satisfy the site’s 1x playthrough requirement, making it slightly more complicated to clear the hurdle when playing through your bonus.

While there are some shortcomings, I believe Sweeptastic is an excellent choice. This is a newer site that has already improved over the last few months and should continue to expand in the future.
