Welcome Bonus

EDITOR'S OPINION

Resorts Online Casino offers players almost everything you’d want at an online casino in terms of promotional offers, a high-quality mobile app, a robust rewards program, and a dynamic game library, but does have one downfall that must be addressed.

Resorts Casino Hands-on Review

Resorts Online Casino launched in February 2015. While it wasn’t part of the first wave of online casinos that launched in the state in 2013 and 2014, it quickly caught up to the competition.

Partnered with NYX Gaming, Resorts Online Casino has refined its site over the years in preparation for a new wave of online casino players. Does Resorts Online Casino hold up to the more modern online casinos by today’s standards? Let’s explore.

Is Resorts Casino Legit?

Yes, without a doubt. Resorts Casino has been going strong since early 2015.

Can You Win Real Money Playing at Resorts Casino?

Yes, Resorts Casino offers a wide variety of online casino games in which you can win real money.

Resorts Casino Signup Bonus

Resorts Casino gives you two big welcome offers for when you sign up. I will cover each below.

Resorts Casino No-Deposit Bonus

Just for signing up, Resorts Casino gives you a no-deposit bonus of $20.

Deposit Bonus

The signup bonus, also known as the welcome offer, at Resorts Online Casino is quite lucrative. Players will be able to garner up to $1,000 in deposit matching at a 100 percent rate. To achieve this bonus, there are a couple of steps to follow:

  1. Sign in to your ResortsCasino.com account.
  2. Click the 100% up to $1,000 promotion image in the Promotions tab for details.
  3. Go to My Account > My Bonuses.
  4. Click DEPOSIT next to the DEPOSIT1 under Available Bonuses.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to make your deposit.
  6. Matching casino bonus funds will be immediately added to your casino bonus balance for wagering upon a successful deposit.
  7. Enjoy your free casino bonus funds!

With welcome offers, however, there is the playthrough requirement to think about. The playthrough requirement at Resorts Online Casino is the number of times the bonus must be wagered in order to gain access and withdraw the bonus funds. So, if you deposit $500, you will receive a $500 bonus.

However, in order to be able to withdraw that $500 bonus, players must wager 30x on slot games and 150x on table games, roulette, and video poker. While it is normal for non-slot games to have a higher playthrough requirement, both of these amounts are quite high compared to competitors, which is worth keeping in mind.

Free Spins

Currently, there are no free spins available at Resorts Casino.

Resorts Casino Promotions

Resorts Casino has several promotions for customers to enjoy, including the following:

  • High 5 Rapid Rewards: Players have the opportunity to win $1,000 in cash simply by playing High 5 branded games. By wagering $0.50 per spin on any of these branded games, you’ll be entered into the contest and will be alerted in-game if you win! The list of High 5 games includes titles such as Guardians of the Deep, Retro Riches, Riddle of Riches, Cosmic Convoy, Betti the Yetti, and more! A full list can be found here.
  • $3,000,000 Daily Game: By simply having an account and logging in to Resorts Online Casino, you have the ability to win massive amounts of cash. To participate, players just need to show up daily and play the $3,000,000 daily games. Through this, you can also win tickets to a weekly $1,000 drawing. Players can earn multiple entries each week.

My Resorts Casino App Experience

The Resorts Online Casino app is wonderful. Serving as essentially a carbon copy of the desktop platform, users who decide to go between mobile and desktop will have no issues changing platforms thanks to the continuity provided by the app.

Some differences include a collapsible drop-down menu in the upper left-hand corner of the app. This has links to the casino homepage, sportsbook, promotional offerings, and search bar. The app itself has the ad carousel found at the top of the app with the game types listed just below that on a horizontal sliding menu.

Beyond this are some filtering options and the games are listed in rows of three with star ratings out of five. This will show fellow players which games to check out and perhaps some to avoid.

Finally, there is a contact/customer support icon in the bottom right-hand corner. Overall, the app is exceedingly easy to navigate, does not lag even with a continuous ad carousel, is responsive upon clicking on things, and the games do not buffer or lag on a slot pull or anything of that sort.

While the app does carry over a user design that is quite retro and perhaps a bit outdated, the important part is the continuity and ease for players going from one platform to the next, which Resorts Online Casino accomplishes masterfully.

Should You Play at Resorts Casino?

While the user design does look a bit outdated (even for an online casino that came out in 2015), there is a charm to it. When looking at it, it somewhat reminds you of the old AOL websites.

While that isn’t necessarily a downside, the biggest downside at Resorts Online Casino is the playthrough requirements for the deposit bonus. Depending on the type of player you are, it may or not be possible to finish the playthrough amount.

The one upside is that there is no time limit for completing it. A common timeline is usually 30 days, but that is not the case here. Thus, if you plan to play consistently, you’ll eventually reach the playthrough amount. The overall monetary upside is great, but considering the $1,000 bonus with the 30x playthrough, if you only play slots, that is a tall mountain to climb.

That said, if you’re just looking for an easygoing online casino with a robust game library that has a proven track record, and you can disregard the welcome offer and just enjoy the overall platform and other promotions, you’ll have a great time at Resorts Online Casino!

How To Join Resorts Casino

After selecting “Join Now” in the upper right-hand corner, you will be brought to the registration page. The registration process is easy to complete and done across two steps:

Step 1

  • Email address
  • Password
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth

Step 2

  • Address Line 1
  • Address Line 2
  • City
  • State
  • Zip Code
  • Mobile number
  • Bonus code
  • Agree on terms to terms of service

After the completion of these steps, you’ll then be asked for the last four digits of your social security number. This is a must for online casinos since real money is being exchanged.

Once you’ve completed this step, Resorts Online Casino will then run its geolocation software. This confirms you are physically located in the state of New Jersey. If you are not located in the state of New Jersey, you’ll still be able to access the site, but will be unable to commit any real money wagers.

Resorts Online Casino has somewhere in the vicinity of 800 total slot tiles. The games are arranged mostly in rows of five on desktop, and like the mobile app, each game has a star rating. Here are some of the popular titles, as voted by the users:

  • Piggy Riches
  • King Kong
  • Motorhead

Table Games

With a total of 45 table game titles, Resorts Online Casino offers most game types you could imagine playing at an online casino. Here are the game types that are offered:

  • Roulette
  • Baccarat
  • Video Poker
  • Blackjack

All of these game types have multiple iterations to play as well.

Video Poker

As mentioned, there is video poker. The options can be found under the table games section. In total, there are over 20 video poker options to choose from including Game King, Four Card Poker, and Three Card Poker.

Live Dealer

Resorts Online Casino offers 18 total live dealer options. The majority of the titles are available from 11 am - 3 am, with Live Auto Roulette being available 24/7. There are multiple Blackjack tables, and also tables for Roulette, Three Card Poker, Texas Hold’Em, Baccarat, Dream Catcher, and Side Bet City.

Rewards System

Although there are two different names, Resorts Online Casino really has one massive rewards program.

The first part of this program is called “Resort Rewards”. This is a five-tiered system in which players ascend the ranks based on the number of points they have accumulated.

Players receive points based on playing at the casino. According to Resorts Online Casino, here is the full breakdown:

  • Earn 1 RP for every $2 you wager on all Slots
  • Earn 1 RP for every $2 you wager on Sports Betting
  • Earn 1 RP for every $4 you wager on Roulette
  • Earn 1 RP for every $4 you wager on Three-Card Poker
  • Earn 1 RP for every $8 you wager on Video Poker and all other Table Games

With Resort Rewards, players will earn more and more perks. There is also a point conversion rate for $10 cash that decreases as you ascend. After you’ve reached the pinnacle of Resort Rewards, you can then enter Echelon Rewards. Going from the highest tier in Resort Rewards to Echelon Rewards requires 55,00 additional points.

Echelon Rewards has four tiers, with the final one, “Black”, being invite-only. These rewards are even more substantial than Resort Rewards. Players will get things such as a device dedicated to playing Resorts Online Casino, increased deposit limits, expedited withdrawals, and additional exclusive offers.

To go from one tier to the next, you must hit the next tier in terms of points within a calendar month. You will also keep your new/current tier for a month. If after that month you fail to sustain your current level, you will drop down a level.

Customer Service

Found via the small “?” icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page, players will discover the FAQ section. This section is chock plenty full of information you’ll commonly want to seek out at an online casino, such as banking information. There are also additional options if needed:

  • Live Chat: Available from 8 am - 12 am, seven days per week
  • Phone: Available from 8 am - 12 am, seven days per week
  • Email: You will receive a response from 8 am - 12 am, seven days per week

Self-Exclusion & Player Safety

To access the Responsible Gaming page, the link to “Player Protection” can be found at the bottom of the home page, or through the “RG” logo in the upper right-hand corner.

This section provides information to assist players with gambling addiction issues. There are both local and national organizations with contact information, as well as limits players can set on themselves. These include deposit, session time, and spending.

Players can also take extended leaves of absence from the platform via the self-exclusion option. There are plenty of resources both within Resorts Online Casino and outside of the platform to get you the help you need if you’re facing this struggle.
