Colorado Avalanche To Win NHL Finals (-260)
The Colorado Avalanche came into the Stanley Cup Finals on a high after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 4-0, completing their second series sweep of the postseason. This is a stacked team that finished 56-19-7 in the regular season, which was only behind the Florida Panthers.
Led by Nathan MacKinnon and an offense that averaged 3.8 goals per game, the Avs had high expectations and they’re finally delivering on them.
The team got a clutch performance from Valeri Nichushkin in Game 1 of the Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Russian forward notched a goal and an assist, including one on the overtime-winning goal as the Avalanche won 4-3.

Colorado was already favored coming into the series, so it’s no surprise to see that they now have inflated -260 odds. They’re three wins away from a Stanley Cup, but don’t count out the back-to-back defending champion Lightning just yet.
2022 NHL Finals Contenders
Tampa Bay Lightning To Win NHL Finals (+220)
There were many pundits who believed that the Lightning would run out of gas this postseason. After all, this is a team that was coming off consecutive championships, so they’ve played a lot of hockey over the last three years.
That hasn’t been the case. This is a team that knows how to close out a series. They narrowly escaped the Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers, while they were able to sweep the rival Florida Panthers.
The team is stacked with talent like Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos, and Branden Point up front, while Victor Hedman anchors the blueline and Andrei Vasilevskiy is the best goalie in hockey.

Tampa Bay had a tough loss in overtime in Game 1, but they’ve proven time and time again that we should never count them out of a series. Expect them to cause problems for the Avalanche in a hard-fought battle throughout these Stanley Cup Finals.
