Last season was a disaster for the Rangers, who finished with a 60-102 record. They were one of only four teams to lose at least 100 games, and their -190 run differential was the fourth-worst mark in all of baseball.
If there was a bright side, it’s that they played much better at home (36-45) than they did on the road (24-57).
With plenty of holes to fill on their roster, the Rangers went big this offseason, signing Marcus Semien and Corey Seager to massive contracts to lead their infield for years to come. They also traded for Mitch Garver to fill a void behind the plate, so their lineup should be considerably more dangerous.
While they added Jon Gray, their starting rotation still leaves a lot to be desired, which makes them a long shot to reach the playoffs.
Rangers Top Betting Odds 2022
Texas Rangers MLB betting odds are current as of Wednesday, March 30, at Caesars Sportsbook.
- World Series Winners (+7500)
- Win American League pennant (+3500)
- Win American League West title (+1800)
- 2022 Win Total Over/Under: 74.5 (-110)
The additions that the Rangers have made should prevent them from losing 100 games again. However, they still are in the early stages of a rebuilding process. That shows with their odds to not only win the World Series or American League pennant, but also the American League West.

The good news for their fanbase is, at least the signings of Seager and Semien indicate that the team doesn’t want to have an extended stay in the basement of the division.
Rangers Futures Bets 2022
Rangers: To Win UNDER 74.5 Games (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
Going from 60 wins last season to at least 75 this season would be a pretty big leap.
The Rangers should be able to score more runs, but Seager hasn’t exactly been a picture of health throughout his career. Neither has Garver, for that matter. If one of their key hitters misses extended time, their bad starting rotation could put them in a tough spot.
I see them winning closer to 70 games this season. That’s still a significant improvement, but give me the Under in today’s MLB bet of the day.
Rangers Player Prop Bets 2022
Marcus Semien: To Lead 2022 MLB in Hits (+5000) at Caesars Sportsbook
WAGER: 0.25 Units
Semien couldn’t have been much better for the Blue Jays last season, which helped him land his big contract with the Rangers. He finished with 173 hits, which was tied for the 10th-most in the majors. While that number might seem like a fluke, he had 187 hits for the Athletics in 2019.
Semien’s been able to stay healthy throughout his career, and he should bat leadoff for his new team, so this wager might not be as crazy as it seems.
