Orioles Odds & Predictions | 2022 MLB Playoff Futures & Award Props
The Baltimore Orioles (52-110) tied with the Arizona Diamondbacks for the worst record in baseball in 2021. The O’s ended last season as the sixth-worst run-scoring team, and they allowed the most runs in baseball by over 60 runs.
In fact, they were the only team to allow more than 900 runs. Since 2008, only six teams have allowed more than 900 runs and the Orioles have done it twice.
Despite an obvious need to improve their pitching, the only offseason addition Baltimore made to its pitching rotation is Jordan Lyles, who finished last season with zero fWAR.
The team has a few talented batters like Cedric Mullins and Ryan Mountcastle, but this is clearly an organization that is not trying to win this year.
Orioles Top Betting Odds 2022
Baltimore Orioles MLB betting odds are current as of Tuesday, March 29 at BetMGM Sportsbook.
- World Series Winners (+25000)
- Win American League pennant (+12500)
- Win American League East title (+15000)
- 2022 Win Total Over/Under: 62.5 (-110)
The Orioles possess the longest odds to win the World Series, American League pennant, and the American League East, and rightly so. Nearly every team in their division has improved this offseason, and Baltimore has not made the necessary improvements to get significantly better.

Orioles Futures Bets 2022
Orioles OVER 62.5 Wins (-110) at BetMGM Sportsbook
WAGER: 0.5 Units
Of the six teams since 2008 that have allowed over 900 runs, three of them finished with 69 wins or more. Between 2003-2007, nine teams allowed over 900 runs and four finished with fewer than 60 wins.
The O’s are desperate for some pitching help, and their two top pitching prospects, Grayson Rodriguez and DL Hall could help them this season. Top prospect Adley Rutschman should also make his debut this season at catcher and provide a jolt to the heart of the Baltimore offense.
It is definitely possible for teams to give up a lot of runs and still finish with decent records, and the Orioles should be one of those teams this year. Bet the Over on the win total for our MLB bet of the day.

Orioles To Win World Series (+25000) at BetMGM Sportsbook
WAGER: 0.1 Units
This is incredibly unlikely, which is why the Orioles have the longest odds to win the World Series. They are clearly in a rebuilding mode and are years off from making a legitimate push to compete.
Anyone who places a bet on the Orioles to win the World Series can rub it in everyone else’s faces if it hits, but do not expect it to happen this year.

Adley Rutschman To Win AL Rookie of the Year (+650) at BetMGM Sportsbook
WAGER: 0.25 Units
The American League Rookie of the Year race is led by four highly-touted position prospects: Bobby Witt Jr., Spencer Torkelson, Julio Rodriguez, and Adley Rutschman.
Witt has the top odds at +300, and is the clear favorite to win the award. He likely will make the Royals’ major league roster out of spring training. The same cannot necessarily be said for the others.
Despite that, Rutschman may have the most significant impact on his team compared to the other top candidates for the award. Although a triceps injury will sideline Rutschman to start the season, he should get a call up by the summer and could not only help the offense, but the pitching staff as well.

Cedric Mullins To Lead MLB in Stolen Bases (+900) at BetMGM Sportsbook
WAGER: 0.25 Units
Cedric Mullins tied Tommy Edman and Myles Straw for the fourth-most steals in baseball last season with 30. Starling Marte led the league with 47.
Mullins does not have the speed of Marte, but all Mullins needs to do is get on base. He finished with the 20th-best OBP in 2021, and seems to be getting better.
There should be some regression to his power numbers this season since he is not an especially hard hitter, so if some of his home runs turn into productive fly balls, he could end up on base more and have more chances at steals this season.
He has an outside shot at leading baseball in steals, and is worth a small, speculative bet.
